DogOnPorch Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 The iron dome is a big expensive joke. It's easy to say that but results are results. I guess you could argue that all the cell phone footage has been edited by Mossad...or perhaps even "Bibi" himself! Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
Guest Derek L Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 The iron dome is a big expensive joke. Actually no, it is impressive……………The “kill ratio” that’s touted in the media is inaccurate, fore “Iron Dome” won’t engage rockets that pose no danger of hitting anything in built-up areas……………The only negative aspect of Iron Dome is that it’s expensive and there are only a limited amount of interceptors available…………In the end, like the Allies found in WW II with the Nazis V-1 & V-2 rockets, it’s easier to prevent damage from said rockets if you occupy the launch site………..Hence why Israel will invade Gaza. Guest Derek L Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 So, it's a big expensive joke. Not a "joke" at all.........Of the hundreds of rockets launched against Israel, how many causalities have been the result?………….The only “joke” is the self inflicted one garnered by Hamas as Israel will reoccupy the Gaza Strip......... Guest Derek L Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 (edited) Whereas Gaza is cheap and not funny at all. In all actuality, the occupation of Gaza will only add costs to the Israelis in terms of fuel and weapons expenditures………..The “troops and gear” are already paid for……….From a money stand-point, the occupation of the “Strip” will be much more cost effective. The question is, how many of the rockets actually make it to the cities. The low number of casualties is not due to iron dome, it's due to the uselessness of the rockets. Most of the rockets barely make it past the borders. These expensive iron dome missiles cost around $50K vs $500 for the rockets that are able to reach the towns and cities. The Iron Dome might be useful against a real army with real weapons, not fireworks. The only way they might become useful is if there is a war against Iran. However, now, they're a big expensive joke. Quote When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. bush_cheney2004 Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 Actually, it is a good thing that rockets fired from Gaza by terrorists are largely ineffective, reducing the risk to Israelis. Iron Dome is smart enough to engage those rockets that do pose a threat. Casualties are lower in Israel also because of civil defense measures. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

Hudson Jones Posted November 17, 2012 Author Report Posted November 17, 2012 (edited) A better defense measure would be to end the siege and to accept the Arab League peace deal. Guest American Woman Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 So, it's a big expensive joke. If it is a joke, as you say, who do you think is having the last laugh? I doubt if it's those launching the rockets that are being intercepted. What do you think? Quote

Not even single public casuality in Israel and in Palestine there are hundreds of small lives are passing away with theri cruel behaviour. Who will come forward to help those Palestine helpless people? Just because there are far fewer casualties in Israel doesn't negate the fact that they act in self-defense. Perhaps there'sll be few Palestine casualties if Hamas doesn't use its citizens as shields! If we're going to point a finger at a monster, point at Hamas! If Palestinians don't want to suffer the heavy consequence, then they should kick Hamas out of there! What do they think? You pose yourself as a shield, therefore you bear the brunt!
