Bill Clinton claimed that Democrats have created more jobs than Republicans. Fact-checkers note that it is actually true.

And unemployment has reached an all time high of close to 10%. When you lose THAT many jobs, any gains will look good. So he may have gained the most jobs, but I'd say he even lost the most too.

If Michelle Obama's speech killed the entire Republican Convention, did Clinton's put the nail in the coffin?

Unfortunately, her words don't create jobs, reform entitlements,or cut the deficit. Anyways, judging by her clothes, it looks as though some people are definitely better off than they were 4 years ago.

Michelle Obama is a fantastic orator... talk about two peas in a pod...

The tone of this convention has been completely different... GOP - Obama = evil... no talk of bipartisanship.... no acknowledgement of what occurred in the past. No real vision and very vague on details. Simply a manifesto to oust the current president. Which is exactly what the GOP vowed to do since Obama was elected... oppose the president at any cost regardless of whether it is good for the country or not. Even jokes about Obama not being a "real American".... the whole birther thing... there is a very dark undercurrent to their entire existence that really shone through in their convention.

Unemployment is at like 8% not 10%. The newest ADP National Employment Report for last month says America added 201,000 private-sector jobs surpassing expectations by 60,000 jobs. Because Obama lost a lot of jobs when Bush handed him an economy in Shambles isn't a good argument.

Hey hand us back the economy so a Democrat can fix it again. Sorry that is just Republican fantasy land keep running against invisible chair sitting Obama while the rest of us enjoy this election please.

Forbes seems to be a respected paper I guess right?

Unemployment actually rose after June, 2009, and did not fall back down below that level until 18 months later in December, 2010. Instead of a recovery,America has suffered the longest period of unemployment above 8% since the Great Depression, under President Obama’s public policy malpractice. Even last month, 52 months after the recession started, while supposedly 115,000 new jobs were created, the labor force shrank by another 342,000 workers, which is the only reason the unemployment rate reportedly declined from 8.2% to 8.1%. Without the decline in the labor force, unemployment would have risen last month to 8.3%.

The labor force is actually 365,000 workers smaller today than it was in June, 2009 when the recession supposedly ended. Counting population growth since then, the economy is actually missing 7.7 million workers that would be in the work force if the labor force participation rate had remained the same since the supposed end of the recession three years ago.

There are reports it was above 9% because the disenfranchised were not included in those numbers. Those are the people who stopped looking for work because they can't find a job in their field.

Yah lets include the numbers for a Democratic president that a Republican president (Reagan) threw out cause they made him look bad. Yah lets compare apples to oranges because they make my case better. Sure whatever you look like a hypocrite.

It's too bad Clinton and Obama can't switch places.

Don't listen to punked's propaganda. The economy is barely producing enough jobs to keep up with population growth. In several instances it's been way under. Not only that, but labour participation is at a 30 year low.

You are the one who keeps making posts that are seeping in racism. Sorry Shady if you keep playing race politics you are a racist.

Really? Wow. I'm glad you guys liked her. I was really hoping she would have a good speech, but I was afraid she may have come across as whiny. I'm exactly her target demographic (or I would be, if I were American) so maybe that made me more critical of her.

It was just so honest and scathing and bang-on. It wasn't political fluff, you could tell she honestly meant every word of it. She ripped into the GOP hard, lots of good zingers in there.

Obama campaign is very smart trying to get the woman vote, they should get Fluke on the campaign trail.

Actually it wasn't honest and it wasn't very good. It's sad to see a 30 year old woman insisting other people pay for her birth control. It's also unconstitutional. But one thing we've learned over the past several years, is that Democrats basically hate the constitution. Because it stands in their way of their utopian dreams.

And yet the Republicans are the only ones wanting to change it.

Was it unconstitutional when Romney did it in Mass or is your faux outrage only for the black man Shady. This is getting to easy

It actually was constitutional. You obviously don't know the differences in policy between what Romney did vs what Obama did. You also don't seem to understand what's actually in the constitution.

Inform me because if anything Obama's is less intrusive.

So is the Obamacare mandate. The Supreme Court already ruled on it and you lost. You really have to keep up.

I'm not referring to the Obamacare mandate. Get a clue for once in your life.

Anyways, did anyone see the deranged and unhinged speech from former disaster-of-a-governor Jennifer Granholm? It's hilarious!

She REALLY starts to get into it at the 2 minute mark.

...

Watch it once normally, then play it again, but put the audio on mute. Play this in the background instead.

Her facial expressions are priceless!

Whatever. If it were unconstitutional, the Supreme Court would have ruled so. They ruled on Obamacare and said it was constitutional. You lost. Get over it.

I have a feeling I'm going to be saying that a lot over the next four years.

The individual mandate that somebody buy health insurance isn't what I was saying was unconstitutional.

Anyways, did anyone watch Barack's speech? THAT was not one of his better ones. Also, does anyone know why there were no balloons? At the end of every convention, when the nominee or president finsishes, there's suppose to be balloon. What the heck happened?

I thought it was amazing given the audience, and the context. He outdid Romney about 10 to 1.
