Guest Peeves Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 (edited) The mayor weighed in at 330 and bro @ 275. Let's wish them well in their efforts. In their diets too. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/toronto-mayor-rob-ford-starts-public-weight-loss-151148704.html Edited January 16, 2012 by Peeves Quote

guyser Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Ya time for them to stop the gravy boat. Funniest line of the whole media event was Brother Ford , after the weigh in, commenting it was "probably the most humbling experience for wither of us" I thought...really? With all the idiocy of the family, from murders to assaults to drunken and pot filled diatribes, getting weighed is the most humbling? No wonder a lot of people think you and your brother are idiots! Quote
guyser Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 The Ford Fiesta is smaller than those two!! So is an Expedition . The Hummer probably fall short too. Quote
Topaz Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 As most people who ended up like Ford putting it on was more of a pleasure than taking it off. After watching NBC's "Biggest Loser" he has a long way to go but men can lose the fat faster than women. I thinking he's been told by his DR. he has high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high sugar and if he doesn't lose it, he'll in six feet under. Being the mayor is very stressful and stress can stop a person from losing the pounds. Good luck to him. Quote
CPCFTW Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) This isn't what I had in mind when I voted for him to trim the fat and stop the gravy train! I thought he said he would cut the waste, not the waist! I'm here all night folks! Edited January 17, 2012 by CPCFTW Quote

guyser Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Does such a scale exist? Sure does ! The Zoo weighs elephants , trucks get weighed on the highway. Ships get displacement tests. Not sure if city hall is built for that sort of pound per sq inch tho. Quote

Not sure if city hall is built for that sort of pound per sq inch tho. Seems he's not built for speed. I have noticed an expected few, the RED Star for example, find Ford a big target. Anyway, an Edsel he ain't, he's quite popular and doing what he said he would. Quote

Anyway, an Edsel he ain't, he's quite popular and doing what he said he would. Quite popular? With whom exactly? I suppose the 30% surveyed.... as opposed to the 70% who would vote for someone else. The survey of 6,763 people also found that 30 per cent of Toronto respondents indicated they would vote for Mr. Ford in the next election, against 70 per cent who would cast a ballot for someone else. Quite Popular!!! Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
guyser Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Anyway, an Edsel he ain't, he's quite popular and doing what he said he would. He is more like an overstuffed Lada , spewing crap out non-stop, lousy engine , cheap as can be. Popular? Er no, not really unless you equate popular with well known. Quote
Boges Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Apparently he lost 10 lbs this week. I hear when you're obese like that the first weight loss is the easiest part. Quote
Boges Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 Holy Crap!!! Something positive about the Ford Bros from the Star. http://www.thestar.com/news/article/1134772--dimanno-ford-lite-levels-a-heavy-blow I hate Rob Ford. Not because he threw his considerable heft around Tuesday and orchestrated the whack job on TTC general manager Gary Webster. It’s difficult to shed tears for a well-remunerated suit getting his ticket punched — and a honking huge severance to soften the blow. Not because he’s stubbornly pushing subways over light rail transit — actually agree with him about that. Not because he’s petulant and won’t talk to the Star. Hell, I work for the paper and many days we’re not on speaking terms, either. Not even because he’s dingbat-y and mortifying as mayor, though he is and he is, but the mook can hardly be accused of misrepresenting the traits that swept him into office. This pol arrived pretty much as advertised, lugging baggage from years of outrageous behavior on city council. No. I hate Ford because he’s lost 22 pounds in five weeks. Project Ford Lite, his personal Stop the Gravy vow, is one commitment that hasn’t screeched to a no-can-do halt. You know there are people in the Anti-Ford community that wish he doesn't lose weight. cybercoma Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 Who gives a flying deuce about his weight? The man's policies are horrendous. Quote
Black Dog Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Yeah his weight problem just cements him as comic figure. He's Eric Cartman: same voice, same girth, attitude. Quote

Black Dog Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 The Fords’ “Cut the Waist” challenge has gone from a feel-good public-health campaign to a depressing weekly ritual in which the mayor watches his weight inch up or down slightly while the city hall press gallery lobs unrelated questions at him. -Mayor struggling to fulfill weight loss promise Quote
Boges Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 No one jumping all over the fact that he said he bailed on his pledge to lose 50 lbs by June on his radio show? His brother is succeeding but clearly making weight loss a public spectacle was a big mistake for Ford. Quote

I believe you are the one with partisan blinders on if you believe Rob Ford has been 230 pounds at any time since he was a baby.
