GostHacked Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Gosthacked is the classic relativist/apologist. If somebody shoots you, it's time to do some soul searching as to what you did wrong to piss the fellow with the gun off. Well, looks like I was wrong about when the building was available. The revision has been corrected. Happy? I doubt it. Quote
jbg Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Your opinion. This guy knew innocent people could die because of what he did, yet he did it anyway. He's a scumbag, pure and simple. So you're saying that the Muslims in Afghanistan are the equivalent of Pavlov's dogs? How racist of you. DogOnPorch Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Yeah... But there are penalties for being different within Islam... See the sectarian violence in Baghdad between Sunni and Sh'Ite sects... Look at the sectarian issues around what's going on in Bahrain... I agree...and they'd go at each other tooth n' hand grenade in Western society given half the chance. Sir Bandelot Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Giordano Bruno was killed, for not believing in the ptolemaic model. Let alone the women who were systematically tortured and burned. Catholics killed alot of people Quote
Jack Weber Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) You can get the Koran in English...I have the Picktall edition. But it is usually said something is lost in the translation since Allah apparently spoke to Big M-- in the Arabic of the day. I know... The same excuses are made about original versions of the Bible being transalted... Many devout Catholics think the King James version (translated by Sir Francis Bacon, amongst others)does'nt convey the "true" message of Jesus... Frankly,we no longer speak in Shakespearian, and certainly not Chaucerian,English,so I'm not sure the translation arguement holds alot of water... Imagine what carnage would happen in Europe if that were to take place now??? Quote The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!
DogOnPorch Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Classical Arabic hasn't changed much in 500 years being the big difference. That's aside from colloquial versions of Arabic which no doubt have changed. Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.

Like England with the Witchfinder General, some of the German duchies and bishoprics had rather generous profit sharing plans between the local authorities and the accusor re: the accused's property. Bonam Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Yep. And the pope, is catholic. The Pope is probably an atheist, though of course his career depends on pretending to be a Catholic. You can't get that deep into the workings of the Church without realizing it is all built on lies. Quote

Of course... However, with The Vatican, one could pay their way out of sin and redeem themselves with a cash payment... Marty did'nt like that very much... The "Witch Burning" Monty Python scene is very funny, but it's also based in historical fact.. One could accused of being a witch and being in league with Satan for nothing to do with the occult at all.A wart,or being left handed,or a big shnoz,or being mentally retarded,or having a covetous nabour (for your property,or otherwise) were all valid reasons for being accused of being a witch... You can't get that deep into the workings of the Church without realizing it is all built on lies. I doubt that... The current Pope,a former member of the Hitler Youth...said in 2006 that only Catholocism was the real church...All others were false churches...the Eastern Orthodox church was only partly false... The reasoning?? The other (Protestant)churches did not recognize the primacy of the papacy and did not follow the edicts of the magisterium... This is after reinvoking the Latin Mass... This is after going to Turkey and calling Islam a wicked religion... Essentially,in a 9 month span...Undoing whatever sectarian bridgebuilding John-Paul II did during his entire tenure... I have met 3 Hitler Youth members in my time...They really don't change that much... Quote The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!
