Teenager experimented with alternative spirituality? OH NOES!

The only people I can imagine caring about something like that are ultra-conservative religious kooks... too bad for her, that probably describes 90% of her supporters. Oh well.

But is this being presented as serious criticism of her? I can't see it. If you're not checking stuff out when you're a teenager, you're just not doing it right. Like, I even went goth for a couple of weeks.

But if she was into Dungeons and Dragons, that's different. Those guys are just too weird.

having listened to her a few times, i still can't take her seriously. on the other hand, i can't deny the power of the loud and ignorant america who supports these idiots.

wait, does she believe in the rapture?

In my view, this is far more important. She is a Creationist, so being an End-Timer would be no stretch at all. And those poeple are craaaazy!

As for the witch thing...as someone else here speculated, my opinion is that she probably made it up anyway. She probably never dabbled in witchcraft. The "Satanic altar" sounds a bit dubious to me. (Not impossible; dubious.) Possibly it's more of an "I know of what I criticize because I personally was once..." deceptive anecdotal thing.

Either way, I don't care. I'm more concerned about her current reactionary lunacy than her navigation through adolescence.

As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand.

Yes, I'm getting pantsed. You're obsessing over what somebody was doing while they were in highschool. Stay classy.

Like I said. I think she might have played Dungeons and Dragons as well. I figured you might be interested since you obviously don't care about real issues.

I'll take that as a humble apology for calling me a moron for O'Donnell's mistake.

Just for the record.

Obama dabbles in cocaine while in his 20s. No problem.

Coons dabbles in marxism while in his 20s. No problem.

Byrd dabbles in the Ku Klux Klan while in his 30s. No problem.

Biden dabbles in plagiarism while in his 40s. No problem.

Christine O'Donnell's HIGHSCHOOL activities. Houston we've got a problem!

You yourself were inconsistent with these 5 examples. Who else was ? Pipe up, people - show us your inconsistencies...

Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase !

Sadly for you, the people who have a problem with it are her right-wing christian base. Everyone else is just exploiting it for that reason.

And because it's very funny.

Indeed. She may have been only a teenager, but Satan's Mark has been placed upon her for life!

Now if we could only do something about those terrible Harry Potter books that are causing so many of our young people to be doomed to eternal damnation! Harry Potter is worse than abortion for all of the young souls it has destroyed.

Why are all of the books and shows for young people about witches and vampires and zombies and dabbling in the occultery and leading people to experiment with Satan? Why isn't anybody writing about JESUS Potter?

And if Christine O'Donnell participated in Dungeons & Dragons then clearly she is full of the Devil's propaganda! !!!!!

Great point kimmy.

And as a young person, O'Donnell may have also listened to *gasp* the rap music. :o

Just as long as she doesn't listen to the rock and the roll music.

All that suggestive rocking and rolling of the hips is clearly intended to incite young people to have s... e... x... and it is no wonder that so many young girls are becoming pregnant since the rock and roll music became popular.

All the incredibly sarcastic and incredibly idiotic posts about dungeons and dragons and rock and roll are missing the point. I don't think anyone criticising her past really care about it. The point about all this is the hilarious hypocrisy. The Democratic candidate makes a sarcastic quip about marxism in college and stop the presses! He's a danger to society. Yet, now that really weird shit comes out about the tea partier and now all of a sudden "the past is the past." Too damn hilarious.

The funniest part is the people defending her actually think the people making fun of her are being serious and coming to her defence with said sarcasm as if it's actually about her. It's really about the hypocrisy, people.

Stop what presses? I've barely heard it mentioned by the media. That hasn't got one millionth of the coverage. Your premise is complete false, and void of reality.

You're quite right kimmy. The rock and or roll music can be quite destructive as well.

I'm not talking about the press, I'm talking about you. You're taking his quote seriously but are laughing off what your candidate said. Talk about hypocrisy. As I said, no one here cares what she said, we're all laughing at you. Get it?

Who's being sarcastic?

Christine O'Donnell's witchcraft dabblery is apparently big news!

Again, it's only a big deal to her right-wing christian base. Everybody else is just talking about it to make sure her base knows about it.

I agree it isn't important, but unfortunately she depends a lot on the support of those who are likely to think it is.

Oh you mean the book by the same guy who wrote "God and George W. Bush" which says Bush invaded Iraq to spread Christianity and because God told him so? You mean that guy Shady. So you agree Bush invaded Iraq because God told him to? He sent Americans to die in a crusade? I love when Shady lives in a Glass house and does not research before he posts anything. The guy who wrote this book is either a nut or you got bigger problems.
