An interesting thing happened in doing some research on this, waldo. I was reading the wiki site and Coons was over in Kenya doing some summer work for some "church" group. So I continue on and wind up getting back to wiki and the reference to the "church" group was removed.

Wouldn't want a conflict with the democrats between church and science I guess. It seems all references to religion regarding Democratic candidates are being removed. Gotta distance themselves from the crazies, I guess.

Anyway, let's see where it goes, waldo. Right now when I google Coons I get more references to O'Donnell.

His transformation was from being a Reagan Republican to becoming disillusioned with the American dream and Free enterprise. Whatever that means? Could be anywhere from a left wing centrist to a hard left socialist. He seems pretty embedded with Obama though and supports a, carefully worded, "responsible implementation of Obamacare". Looks like he wants to get elected but realizes he has to be careful about his socialist leanings. He won't be advertising them, waldo.

But I really don't understand the obsession some people have over what she's said back in her 20s. I mean, Joe Biden was plagiarizing his speeches when in his 40s. And Robert Byrd was trying to hang Black people while in his 40s. And you have Charlie Rangle who won his primary as possibly the most corrupt and unethical congressman in the history of American politics.

Exactly. I watched some of her debate last night. She talked about how she said several stupid things when she was younger and more naive but enthusiastic. She said that she's matured, and so has her faith.

What we've seen over the last few days is the politics of personal destruction. But judging from the debate last night, this campaign will be based on issues. Both her and her opponent impressed me a lot.

You know, I just read the Wiki page and I'm surprised to say that she doesn't seem that crazy to me.

Like Shady, I don't believe that everything everybody said in the past needs to stick to you forever. But, I'd never vote for somebody who said they would never raise taxes, and she engages in enough hyperbole to send up the stink of populist dorks who think that any tax increase equates to socialism.

I literally had this exact conversation with a Jehova's Witness who came to my door on Nov. 10,2009...And I was given the same response...

And this is someone the Tea Baggers are championing as wonderful choice...Amazing in it's cluelessness!!!!

By the way,I remember watching that Poltically Incorrect show.I chocked up her silliness to youth and not being very worldly...To see that she has not outgrown this insular mindset,and that insular mindset actually appealed to large number of people is truly frightening...

See... here's the thing Pliny... wiki has an edit audit/history and a feature that allows you to compare versions... you can also report/flag concerns you may have with editing... and, of course, you can add your own edits. Now, the Coons wiki page I've just scanned, states that shortly after college, "He then worked as a volunteer for the South African Council of Churches and as a relief worker in Kenya". Did you add it back in Pliny? (of course, if you're reluctant to state you edited Coons wiki page to correct a most egregious omission (/snarc), as I stated, you could be very precise (to the respective id/edit#) to support your claim that it was edited out... and put back in. You could do that, hey Pliny? Or we can just accept another example of "Pliny facts" are on display!
