The corruption that is rampant in the system needs to be jettisoned somehow. Campaigns cost too much money, and the system suffers from that. I would start there. Not sure what that means, but... at some point somebody is going to realize that the whole gong show that is American politics needs to be separated from the entertainment industry and its attendant graft. The first 3rd party that manages to do that properly will see some traction for it. The system doesn't need money any more than a 400 pound person needs a burger - and I'm sure you can look out the window right now and see one walking into a Burger King without much problem.
