BubberMiley Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 This campaign is truly bizarre in how it seems it could never be resolved. Shady Posted December 17, 2008 Author Report Posted December 17, 2008 This campaign is truly bizarre in how it seems it could never be resolved. But looking at the numbers, Coleman must have had another bad day. He's down to 35. It's already been resolved. Twice. Al Franken just can't accept that he lost the election. Twice. And no, Norm Coleman didn't have a bad day. Nothing's changed. Coleman's ahead, Franken's behind, with the Minnesota Secretary of State a few days away from declaring Norm Coleman the winner, despite what any gambler's website may think. However, things don't look good for the Franken campaign. They've been reduced to releasing pathetic, propaganda videos via . Quote
BubberMiley Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 Again, you haven't been paying attention well enough to know that there is an ongoing dispute involving rejected absentee ballots. The secretary of state's totals don't currently include them, but they will include some. Right now, it appears Franken will benefit from that revised total enough to eke out an extremely narrow victory. Have you been paying attention well enough to know that Coleman is being investigated by the FBI for corruption? Shady Posted December 17, 2008 Author Report Posted December 17, 2008 Right now, it appears Franken will benefit from that revised total enough to eke out an extremely narrow victory. Where do you get that from? Other than the Franken campaign of course. Quote
kimmy Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 With the Republican victory in the South Carolina run-off election, there's not a lot of importance left to this from a big-picture perspective. With the "supermajority" thwarted, a Franken victory might ironically be better for the Republicans. With Coleman under investigation for financial shenanigans, they'd be better off if he wasn't in Senate. And if Franken wins, then after 4 years of having this annoying cartoon character in the Senate I would think that just about everybody would be ready to vote for somebody else in 2012. Probably the only way the Republicans could lose to Franken in 2012 would be if their candidate is Ben Stein. -k {looking forward to the great Franken-Stein debates of 2012.} Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

Shady Posted December 17, 2008 Author Report Posted December 17, 2008 That left-wing rag, the National Post:http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/p...t-just-win.aspx Well, your gambling website InTrade disagrees. Looks like Coleman is up 8. And what an amazing source you site. A story that states Franken "might" win. And their source? The New Republic. A leftwing website. Of course Franken might win. And tomorrow, I might win the lottery. Quote
BubberMiley Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 Well, your gambling website InTrade disagrees. Looks like Coleman is up 8. . It's not my website, though it may seem I'm trying to advertise it. I didn't realize that Coleman had dropped way down to 30, but his spike is fully representative of the data out there. His odds got better, I agree. I have no problem accepting data that may not be compliant with my personal ideology. kimmy Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 BTW, does anybody find it odd that the state that had to have a 2nd election already has its senator, while this state still hasn't got one? -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)
sharkman Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 Yeah, the longer it takes, the more likely there are shenanigans going on. Quote

bush_cheney2004 Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 (edited) BTW, does anybody find it odd that the state that had to have a 2nd election already has its senator, while this state still hasn't got one? It's not odd at all....the new Senate won't be seated until January....the state has two senators right now. Each state sets (often different) election rules by law. sharkman Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 Or the more likely they are being careful that every eligible vote is counted. But they already counted, then recounted how many times? How many times do they need to recount? Until Franken wins. Then they would stop recounting. Quote
punked Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 But they already counted, then recounted how many times? How many times do they need to recount? Until Franken wins. Then they would stop recounting. They counted once, under the law they had to recount becuase only 180 ballots separated the two. Now they are recounting and Franken is now ahead becuase of the recount. So they counted once then recounted once. That is it. You look stuipd for not knowing this. Quote
Shady Posted December 18, 2008 Author Report Posted December 18, 2008 Franken is now ahead becuase of the recount. No he isn't. Quote
BubberMiley Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 No he isn't. But he sure isn't the favourite to win. I notice today Coleman's dropped another 10 points on intrade. If he wins, $21 will pay $100 to those confident enough in their convictions that he will pull this election off (only to have to resign after being convicted of bribery). BubberMiley Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 As oppose to stealing this election, only to have to resign for not paying taxes. If Franken wins, which is appearing quite likely at this point, it will be because more people cast legitimate ballots for him. I don't see how that could possibly be considered stealing the election. Minnesota has been running their recount quite well. It doesn't look anything like Florida, where Bush won even though Gore had more legitimate votes. punked Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 No he isn't. Ohhhhh i am sorry he is behind by two with almost all the challenged ballots breaking his way. Quote
BubberMiley Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 The Star Tribune is projecting a Franken victory. Shady Posted December 19, 2008 Author Report Posted December 19, 2008 Ohhhhh i am sorry he is behind by two with almost all the challenged ballots breaking his way. Yes, how convenient. It looks as though all of the "boxes of votes" found over the past few weeks has begun to pay off. Folks, what you're seeing here, is the stealing of a Senate seat, in real time. How many more "misplaced" votes will be found in the "trunks of cars" and "basements of church's" before the count is over? Quote
