  1. What about alcohol? I would consider it child abuse as well. And I would not call pot poison. Quite the opposite.
  2. I should remind you how the World Trade Center was taken down my commercial aircraft. With minimal logistics, communication, training or experience. They definately had the will to act. Don't think this cannot possibly happen again. The attacks don't have to be large scale to make a huge impact.
  3. So if the road is gridlocked, with all these gasoline cars, how does my new electric vehicle slow all your poor poor petrol-guzzlin-car people down? General Motors EV1 was a great fast electric car. This was about 10 years ago. Documentary "Who Killed the Electric Car". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ev1 Toyota yaris http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Vitz And that is the SPORT model of the Yaris. Slow?? Uh huh. If people learned how to drive, gas or electric cars, the roads would flow as fast as they could. But the human factor plays more part in traffic than the vehicle itself.
  4. Pope John Paul II is a pretty hot number. When that man dances, he is on FIRE ! Jesus showed up at a Timmie's here in Canada. I think he was trying to hit the drivethrough, but now sure. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m319..._19/ai_53120339
  5. If this god exists, then the priest will surley suffer for it in Hell. If this god does not exist, maybe that is the reason he has not done anything about it yet. Or this gos is lazy and has delegated it to child molesting priests. Keng333 Why is it jiberish? If all are not welcome in God's house, how can one repent their sins if they are not even allowed to have a chance to repent their sins? Or was the other part of his post jibberish? It seems like there is more reports of religious leaders molesting children than ordinary people.
  6. Keng333 I want to point out something for you. I could not really care about the joint you smoked last monght. But I will care about that joint you smoked just before you got in the drivers seat. I think slaps upside the head for anyone who drives drunk or stoned. I even deserve a few myself. Simple question. Do you drive stoned? If so, how often? Shavluk, from your article you linked I would point out that the rest of the sentence should read, that we would want to talk about." Using the Lawyer and the cocaine before the nightclub, he would not share to his circle the stories of the cocaine. I have personal experiences with weed, hash/oil, speed, mdma mushrooms, acid. I think that is about it. Extacy can be mixed with cocaine, heroine, speed and some other stuff. So I will assume I have consumed those drugs as well. I gotta tell you though E is quite fun. Take your recreational drugs responsibly. Just like alcohol. Basicly, and this will sound funny, treat it with respect. I operate and work around heavy equipment. The 1.5 tonne pallet hauler I am using can snap a leg without effort. They don't stop on a dime with another tonne or so of grocery product on it and ,,, well you understand. I have seen arms bruised, broken. I even crushed my left hand with the handle of it and a cement post. Know the machine, learn to operate it properly and it will work for you instead of running over your leg. Treat drugs with respect. Know your limit. If you are going to do some of those crazy hard drugs, do it in a safe surrounding. Not sure, but all of this just seems like common sense to me. But people override that for some reason and bend to pressure of 'ok, just one more'. The one more thing aint a bad idea if you already have a plan to get home safe or whatever. Doing some hard chemicals in a strange/new environment can lead to strange unwanted results.
  7. But again, I must point out I am not a Christian. And I am not in Christianlandcountry. SO these so called 'rules' do not apply to me. I do not recognize the rules. For I am not a Christian. So, there is no point in trying to make me a Christian. I will never subscribe to any religion. Just like there is no point trying to turn a homo straight. All your religion in the world cannot change then homo to going straight. The homo does not care. The homo just wants to live a normal productive life. At least most of the homo's I know. Some of these homos run companies, and very well. Some are politicians. Some are teachers. Some of the people you even know Keng333 are gay. How do you deal with a long time friend that you have known since a child, what if that friend told you he was gay? What also if he told you, that he never wanted to tell you because he feels that you would not understand him, or never want to speak/deal with him again. What if a relative told you they were gay? Would you hold up your bible and protest SINNER! ???
  8. shavluk I am a pot smoker. And I can tell you 100% it does impare you in some ways. Don't be saying that it does not. If you don't think it does, you are one of those people I would not want to associate with. But don't believe me. I am only a daily pot smoker of 6 years. I would not know anything about it.
  9. Why does this only come in after Turkey decided to start attacking the PKK 'Rebels'?
  10. Keng333 Thank GOD I am not a Christian. The Rules do not apply to me!!! I guess that makes me both ignorant and intolerant?
  11. Hmm.. you just made me think of something. Afghanistan is to the east of Iran. Iraq is to the west. Now, if the US breaks up Iraq, it is all about divide and conquer after that. Iran if invaded, could be broken up the same way. Strategicly, this makes it easier for the US to maintain control over the favoured new 'countries' that control the most oil. Energy reserves. http://www.globalresearch.ca/images/harita_b.jpeg http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?con...;articleId=3882
  12. Guyser, hard to show some emotion through words. I did not see it as an attack. It was a great point to bring up, at least I think. Compared to what others have said here, this is something that even I can overlook !! Yes, I can see that for sure. I would still want to wait for the formal investigation. But, at the same time, the driver and employer are initially held responsible in the mean time. If I owned a bus company, I would consider myself reponsible for what happened. It is my bus, my employee and last but not least, other people's childern that ride these busses I own. But alright, I will wait for the formal investigation to be complete for a verdict. ScottSA
  13. Stop getting off your own topic. We are talking about GAY, not pedos. So, stop it. If you want to talk about the immorality of pedos, I'd say put up another thread. Let's deal with the gay.
  14. Guyser, roads are static indeed HOWEVER, things that travel across that road are not. Sleet, hail, ice, snow, fog, ect ect ect. No matter how carefull a driver you are , crap happens, and on an icey road, even the best of drivers can ditch it. But I agree under normal good driving conditions, it would be hard to prove. Nitpick, but actually it does bring up a valid point.
  15. AngusThermopyle, your last post is being facetious? I cannot find an appropriate word for what you just did. But in response to your previous post. No way!! You mean all of us do not know the details but some have already pegged her being a Muslim? And you reply to my point that is really about the same thing? Who knows what happened, I also said that other things could have been a factor. COULD HAVE, but are not definate. Guyser And others like ScottSA are ready to convict her due to the speculation of a Muslim type veil/headdress, without waiting for the final results. No no no dude. I hold her and her employer responsible for the accident. That is what it comes down to. I have not made any convictions. But it is the driver and the company who holds responsibility at this point, untill further notice. Pending the investigation. I also said that other things could be a factor, but feel free to ignore that part of my post.
  16. You can just blame Corporate America for this problem. Americans are too expensive to hire, they want high salaries to buy things. To keep up the American Dream lifestyle. So corporations come to Canada, and go to other countries. Most of the stuff you buy comes from outside of the USA. Even here in Canada, I am hard pressed to find anything that is 100% made in Canda, or the US for that matter. Cheap labour and lax environmental and political systems that account for the move to China and build a big plant there is way cheaper for the company and makes bigger profits for the fat cats in the company. All about the shareholders profit. Pure and simple. If the host country is cheaper........?? But blame Canada for Corporate America's pursuit of the all mighty dollar.
  17. The fact about her being Muslim is pure speculation as of this point. So no, you are wrong. We are not defending her because she is speculated to be a Muslim. I would still hold her accountable in the death of a child. She is the driver of the bus. But keep on that path if you want. Call me an apologyleftist if you will. But you would be dangerously wrong here. I have not defended her. I hold her and the employer responsible for the accident. Again if the employer knew the scarf or whatever she was wearing would restrict vision and cause a saftey concerns, why did they hire her in the first place? That puts the kids at risk before she even steps on the bus. But yes, see it so narrow as to it being all her fault. 100%, because she is speculated to be Muslim. In the article they ScottSA, you have shown your true colours time and time again. They are not pretty colours either. They clash with the rest of the canvas. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/calgary/story/200...9/bus-folo.html No mention of any muslim type dress in this report. Then again it does not seem to be an OPED piece. http://www.cbc.ca/cp/national/071018/n1018102A.html It does not take much to throw a vehicle out of control. If any of you have gotten into an accident where it was your fault, please tell me now if you were wearing a Muslim-Type-Headress. I have been in 4 accidents, 3 where I was the driver. One was my fault, one was the other guys fault, and the other was pure crappy road conditions. One were I was a passenger in a truck, we were drving to another store, down a freshly snow covered road. He turns to me asks " Does my driving scare you?" "Nope" I replied, we rounded a corner, he changed up gears, back end of the pickup slipped, we did a 180, slid backwards in the other lane, and rolled down the bank twice before landing on the wheels again. He was not wearing anything on his head. He was just being an idiot and hit the gas to hard, he did not think at all, fresh snow, small pick up truck, hmmm might not be safe to speed. Was stupidity a factor in the bus crash? Was mechanial a factor in the bus crash? No it was those stupid Muslims again right ScottSA? Show us your colours again.
  18. G Bambino, you hit a point there. Why not complain about those femaile teachers who have sex with minor boys. Are we going to South Park this all up and say "Niccceeee!" ??? Or are we going to be hypocritical about it?
  19. The bus company is to blame as well. For argument sake, I will say she is Muslim. The bus company should have seen it right away that this is a saftey concern and not a religious one. If the bus company knowlingly hired a muslim woman who has her face covered all the time, then they are stupid for putting those kids as risk. They are to blame as much as the driver of the bus. Actually the bus company would be MORE to blame becaus they knowingly put those kids at risk. The woman being a Muslim was not mentioned, but speculated. Proves that even non muslims wear stuff that restrict their vision. My Oma drove a school bus and she wore scarves on her head at times as well. She was also a very good driver and took care of every single child on her bus. Yes the death of the child is not acceptable in any case. But pointing out the Muslim-Factor without getting the accident reports and investigations, all this Muslim crap is pure speculation. The issue is restrictive clothing/activities that can either restric your vision, or distract you from the road. Hell, several times I have just about hit the ditch when trying to change a CD in my car. Now I make sure they are easily accessable so as to not distract me. Many things beside a headscarf can cause things to go downhill in a hurry. I have had enough with idiot drivers these days, so I take the bus whereever I go.
  20. I am a supporter of legalizing pot, but dude, you need to be more coherent. Driving drunk or stoned is a really really really idiotic dumb thing to do. I bet there are pot-only accidents on the road, but there is no formal efficient way ot testing that. It needs a blood test to find that out. If you want to be sure. I must point out again in this thread that stupid things = stupid results. Like 3 guys here at work smoking pot on their lunch break. All 3 were fired because of it. It is not about legality of the drug in my eye, for if they were drunk or on some other 'controlled' substance, the result is the same. Stupidity gives bad results. I can make my case even better, we drive heavy equipment in the warehouse. Forklifts, pallet haulers, bakers ect. NO ROOM FOR STUPIDITY in this environment. If they had hurt someone and I did not say anything, I would feel bad about it. It is the saftey of others that I had to consider in making this decision. I am a pot smoker myself. Daily. BUT I do not do it before work, I do not do it during work. But after work? No problem. I sit at home on my doorstep with a couple friends with a huge fatty and a beer or two and shoot the shit. Common sense must prevail in all these incidences. Some people do not even have the common sense to be sober at work. Not the kind of people I want to associate myself with. Yes I think it is a worth while cause to make all drugs legal and at the same time there should be some real education on what these drugs can do to your body and health. Some are bad, some are good. At the end of the day self control and common sense should prevail. If it does not, this banter about legalizing drugs means nothing.
  21. American Woman And it is not kosher either. Of course. Muslims are bad because they are not Jews??? It was a subtle connection, but one that is not lost on me. Old people cannot see much of anything but they drive. A muslim wearing a headscarf or something that coveres their faces is no big deal. I do think it restricts vision, but so do sunglasses, certain types of hats. All the crap people have on the dashboard or hanging from the miror. OH what about the darkest window tints out there? Does that contribute at all? All the stickers on the windows 'Baby on board'. When driving there should be nothing that can impare your vision to the outside. Yes we are talking about a schoolbus, but if the woman was driving a car and did the same thing, this poster would still be bitching about the headdress. All sorts of things can restrict your vision while driving. POOR EYESIGHT can contribute to this as well. Those idiot women who drive and put on their make up at the same time. Those idiot men who don't do a shoulder check before changing lanes can cause issues. I would blame the bus company's bosses and training for not addressing this issue if it was indeed a Muslim-nonkosher-type-indian-headdress. I can also tell you that school busses are in accidents often enough. Hell when I was a kid I remember our bus driver broadsiding a car that was comming out into the lane of the road. It was a white man driving the bus. We were not going fast and some of us did not even realize we hit a car, it was not a very hard impact and minimal damage was done to the car and the bus. Was she falling asleep at the wheel? What other factors beside a non-kosher mussie headdress were contributing to the accident?
  22. Kengs333 I would rather be a happy gay, than a depressed heterosexual. It is not a matter of choice. It is a matter of knowing who and what you are. If you are gay, and you have decided to be happy and gay and believing in yourself, who cares what the likes of you say to people. It is a non issue. If I am forced to become something I am not, something I do not believe I am, I will not lead a happy productive life. Immoral? Proof? What is also immoral, is adultery, but instead you kick on the gays for ruining things. Do they ruin the sanctity of marriage? No I do not believe so. Divorce is so common now a days, it is common to see people go through 2 or 3 marriages. That far outweighs the immorality of being gay. Do gays ruin society? Why do you want to ruin anyones happyness for being who they really believe they are. If they are gay and know it, and are proud of it, not much you can say or do to change that. Even all your ranting here about how immoral it is, you cannot change a thing. I would bet that one of your family members is gay. How do you deal with that? Or are you man enough to deal with it? Would you tell him he is no longer a family member? I have had gay-ish experiences when I was a kid. Does that make me immoral? Or does that just make me human. I explored it some, and found out it is not what I am. It is all about knowing who you are and being happy with who you are. Depression, anxiety and many of these other mental disorders are caused by internal conflicts in people. It is about who they are and what society tells them to be. Have you ever done something against your wishes? How did you deal with it? Were you happy? No one addressed my post before about how this Harry Potter business got millions of kids to read books. They are reading. Learning. If they have questions, that is why they have parents to answer these questions. Questions lead to learning and understanding. I'd be more scared if these books did not make children ask questions about things. Keng333, you are definitely not a live, let live kind of person. Could this be your own personal struggle with homosexuality? Are you gay, but the conflict in you and your upbringing tells you that you should not be gay? EDIT.... I want to add this. Keng, have you been homosexually abused as a child?
  23. Millions of children are reading books. Learning, expanding their minds, learning, exlporing. Thanks to JKR, millions and millions of children are reading and learning many things. Is this not what we are supposed to do for our children? Get them learning and asking questions about the world we live in? This is a non issue about a character in a fictional book being gay. OH NO the books have witchcraft as well. Some think that is bad in itself to expose children to these 'evil fantasies'. Were any of you kids once? Did you read fantasy or sci-fi stuff? Play Dungeons and Dragons? Did any of you care if a character was gay? Did you even know? So now that Dumbledore is gay, does it really change your views on the Harry Potter 'universe' ?? Not for me, to me it is still about growing up and exploring new things. Also self discovery. Now that the Harry Potter is an adult in the novels (over 18 right), does that change how things are done? I think yes! Kids have grown up with Harry Potter, so it seems like a no brainer that the content of the books could change as well in time. More serious and more adult related content. But the overall thing is here, kids are learing to read, and loving reading. JKR created a fantastic univserse for kids to wonder and explore. They talk about it, ask questions and grow. Is this really bad for kids?? One gay character ruins that whole experience?
  24. All this violence in all our media has more of a devestating impact on children than homosexuality. One freakin gay character in the series of books is a small issue compared to the violence that is in the Harry Potter movies. What about bisexuals? Half-Deviants? Uneducated ignorant people always complain that being gay is a bad thing.
  25. Rue. So attacking Syria sends a message to Iran? Like, what the Israelis did not have enough balls to test the sysem on Iran? Why Syria? Closer? Weaker? Quite test? This can be considered an act of aggression by Israel to Syria. Syria has every right to respond in an extreme fashion. Like Israel did to Lebanon summer 2006. But if that happens Syria looks like the bad guy again. Eventhough they are not (well maybe I am not reading the right reports) attacking Israel. Go ahead and attack a so called soverign nation. You want to be recognized? Maybe stopping and thinking would be in order.
