  1. You actually expect something from me?? *yawn* And I like ... actually... I love simplicity. The US and Canada were created by themselves. Israel was created by a UN mandate. The US and Canada took decades to come into being. Israel was created instantaneously. The US and Canada took over the land on their own. Israel was given the land, and not by the locals. I know this wont hold water to most of you buuut. Canada now apologized to the Natives. Maybe it will take a couple more decades for Israel to come about. Hisself. I agree with you. The US uses the UN when it is convenient for them (as do most countries ... even OMG Canada). Even people like BC have no use for the UN. So how can they support a mandate by an entity they have no faith in, and do not even want to be a part of. How can they support Isreal, when they do not even support the UN? OH and the PalestIndians are still attacking.
  2. Ahh so it is all in how you look at it. What is being 'rich' is all about. For the most part, though, when you talk about wealth, you talk about how much money you have, banked money and assets. And if you look at national debt...... how rich are we??? So we should define what is being rich and wealthy. So where did all this money come from then? Any country can print money. Does that alone make it valuble?? Wild Bill That is something I had not considered. and you bring up a great point.
  3. I expect to be called an anti-semit as well in this thread, eventhought it would be wrong. Huh ??? The US attacked America during the six day war?? Maybe I should ignore this bit ... but I will give you the chance to clarify yourself. Isreal has had major support from the US and abroad. Military hardware. The US does not need to be directly involved, but when you have the US constantly shipping weapons to Israel, that are far superior to anything that is currently in the majority of Arab nations in the Middle East. There are different kinds of support and different ways to fight whatever it is you are fighting.
  4. What will blow your mind is that there was no cloaking device to begin with. Maybe you just took your blinders off. I have always taken the stance that the creation of Israel was a bad idea to begin with. I have stated this in other threads regarding Israel. For over 50 years we have seen plenty of violence directly related to the creation of Israel and even now with this sabre rattling with Iran clearly shows that this is the case. But since Israel has the US as a major backer, this is why Israel has not been whiped out yet. The Arab countries understand that it will mean retaliation by Israel and the US at it will not be pretty. It's like that once peice of expensive dinner ware in a bull shop. And if you want to tag me as a Star Trek race .... look at my signature.
  5. Well, if the slavery debate wages on in this thread, it is because some of you support slavery, or this thread would not exist, or gotten past the first page. Slavery is not a good idea... so nothing more needs to be said .. hence end of thread. It is not an authoratative 'EOT' but more or less a statement of what should be. I use this on other forums regularly. Good example of the use of EOT is on shacknews.com .... So slavery = bad idea. If you support slavery, be a slave to show us how much you support it. If not, then it really is the end of the thread.
  6. But this shows how advanced North Korea is compared to Iran. North Korea already tested their bomb, and went back to the drawing board. Iran is still on the drawing board for the first bomb. Because NKs bomb fizzed out, they now have more knowledge on how to make it work. With computer simultions that supercomputers can do,, you can build a virtual bomb and test all your workings. Much can be done with computers before they even physically make a bomb. Giving the chance of the bomb of actually working, a much higher probability. Isreal has been a real pain in the middle east ever since it's 'rebirth'.
  7. We can do a small study hehhe.. Take the average yearly income of 20 years ago adjust it for 2008 inflation. Also take into consideration the population growth since then. Compare the cost of goods from then and now compare it to that average income, I would almost bet that the ratio of cost/wage has decreased. Look at overall distrubution of wealth (ratio of wealthy to poor) and compare from 20 years ago to today. The world is no richer than it was 100 years ago. If you are looking soley at the monetary value of paper money, which used to be backed by hard currency like gold (which no longer is the case now, so much more money than gold). I make 50 grand a year. By many that is rich. However, I live a modest life. My parents 20 years ago together were making 50 grand, with modest living and supporting two children. I only have a cat. Inflation kills whatever wealth richness that has been gained. Need more money?? Simply print it. This devalues the currency and makes it worth less over time.
  8. M Dancer Even democratic nations have sponsored genocide. So by that, many countries cannot take the high road because for the most part, their human rights record is about as abismal as Iran's. Don't discount propaganda from both sides to make things seem way more urgent/threatning than what it really is.
  9. When you have corporations that have that much influence over governments, then you have a failing situation. Canada is not a poor country by any standards. But it is getting poorer than 20 years ago. When good jobs are shipped over seas for cheap labour, it is a double whammy because those people that lost their jobs will never make that kind of cash again. So they can only afford those cheap ass products from overseas. This has been going on for quite a few years, but people are starting to realize and understand that now. All that is good for the corporations bottom line, but never good for the customer (we are not consumers, once we get that mentality out of our heads, then we have the power to change things).
  10. Slavery is not good idea. End of thread.
  11. Wow those hostages in South Korea sure live the good life ... for hostages. You would be correct to day that North Korea holds it's own citizens hostage, for they have no contact with the outside world. South Korea is a free and open society that even exports pretty damn fine cars.... hostages .. hahahhaha. Would be hard to hold Starcraft tournaments in North Korea.
  12. You are correct, for whatever reason I had Rogers in my head regarding Virgin. Still with them riding the Bell network, I got better reception and service with Virgin... which is really dumb.
  13. Iran will never get the bomb. The US and Israel will make sure of it. So this is why I do not consider Iran a threat because they will be taken down before they get the nuke. Iraq was the same way. There was no threat because the US led coalition (pssst BC ...should I put Canada in here to re: Iraq??) took out Iraq. Israel helped by bombing the Osirak reactor in the 80s. After that they had very little chance to develope a nuke. They tried sure, but it was doomed to fail after the reactor was bombed. North Korea actually HAS nukes. But we hear of nothing but 'talks' between NK and the west. NK thumbs their nose up at the west often enough, and STILL HAS NUKES!!! Iran will not throw the first volley. But they won't hesitate to fire back. This is what people should be understanding. All this talk about apeasement with Iran and comparing it to Hitler and Nazi Germany, I think are missguided. During Hitler's reign, he annexed quite a bit of land from neighbouring countries. ---I don't see Iran doing it. Apeasement was made by the west and allowed Hitler to take over parts of other countries for a new unified bigger Germany. ---I don't see Iran doing this. The west then realizing their mistakes, went to war with Nazi Germany.
  14. Almost every time, you have brought up Canada's stinky shit, I have agreed with you. Unfortunately the stench from that litter box to the south overpowers this Canadian stink. But again, I agree that Canada is part of the problem. But you will always downplay this every time I mention the stench from the US. Poor poor BC, almost seems like you are frothing at the mouth whenever you mention Canada. Iran is no threat the the US or Israel. If anything the US is the threat in the middle east right now. Plain and simple. The US is already doing covert operations in Iran, and at the same time the US complains that Iran is doing operations in Iraq. This goes on and on and around and around. Just like my conversations with BC. Round and round and getting nowhere fast. Untill people stop apologizing for everything that is going on and saying 'well that is the way it's always been' this bullshit will keep on going, and the thread will keep on growing.
  15. Virgin piggybacks on the Rogers network. I get better service with Virgin than I did with Fido. My new phone with Rogers (company cell) does not need the SIM card.
  16. But it is done in a very timely manner. Or else the business can't operate.
  17. [smug] Nah, I figured it out quite some time ago. [/smug] Since we have an expert on Canada here, (ahem.. that'd be you there BC2004) , I really don't need to say anything on Canada, because we all have you!!!. We know with 100% predictability, when someone bashes the US, you have what it takes to say 'BLAME CANADA'. No doubt you are the expert here. So from now on, I shall rely on your replies to tell me what Canada is doing. Then we can have no doubts on it.
  18. LOLs, seems like I am not the only one that noticed the trend. Let's say this special person wanted to run for pres, I figure the slogan would look something like this ........... "BC2004, blaming Canada for everything and taking responsibility for nothing."
  19. Yes locked into a contract, sure you can opt out early, for a hefty disconnection fee. Well you can buy the phone at full price, without a contract, or you can buy the phone cheap or even have it for free, but you are locked into a 2+ year contract. My choice has not been restricted, my personal phone is with Virgin Mobile. Their plans and rates are simple and to the point. I use the pay as I go plan. Which is perfect for me. Since I do not use my phone all that often. Almost easier to get ahold of my by email. M Dancer If you have an unlocked phone, you can go with whatever provider you want and it will be compatible. If your phone is locked, then you can buy the SIM card to put into your phone to make it work on that providers network. Hope that clears things up for you.
  20. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,381302,00.html And the US is going to abide by this? That seems a whole lot of messed up. Pakistan is an ally, but is harboring the same terrorists Pakistan is supposed to help fight. Something not right here at all.
  21. However they did produce stand alone speakers that needed an amp. If you are looking for Canadian speaker manufacturers, deal with Paradigm and PSB. From the UK, Mission for sure (my 5.1 set up is all missions but the sub, it is a Polk Audio) I gave up my Paradigms for the Missions !! BC. it is having a good ear, and good hearing. I have walked into many stores and instantly shuddered with a chill down my back because something does not sound right. Also.. heheh one car audio shop had this old thunderbird,,, back seat ripped out to make a box that holds 3 15" subs, 4 6" two ways in the doors.... I sat in it .. cringed and got out .. one guy says 'huhuhu too loud for you??' .. I replied .. 'nope it sounds like utter shit'. Out of the 4 in each door, they were places so low on the door, and so far back, 3 were basicly firing sound under the front seat. Wow it was horrible. Angus, I bought an M-Audio card for my PC, and loooooove it. Does not pick up on the internal clicks and whirs of a PC like the on board sound does. For the same price as a fancy shmancy Bose, you can get a better system, that sounds better. Just need to put some time an effort into listening to many speakers. Also listening to them in the audio shop will sound different when you get those same speakers home.
  22. That was awesome. Shows that these leaders need a queue card and a podium to make speeches. They cannot handle these questions on the fly. 'Check my voting record!!!' HAHAH McCain you should check your OWN voting record. Viagra should not be covered. Birth Control should be covered. Plain and simple, and the majority of people will agree that should be the case. This is a good set up for how he handles everything else.
  23. Do you think it was alright for Turkey to cross the border into Iraq to bomb some Kurds?? I am just showing how hypocritic people are. Only because Iran is in the spotlight about things, Turkey is an ally. Personally I don't think Iran is messing with Iraq as much as the US is messing with Iran .. US Spec Ops have been in Iran for over a year now. So who is messing with who? OH, the US already messed with Iran decades ago.... that worked out well. You make me laugh.
  24. You forgot Petro Canada as well there... but good job as usuall. You are too predictable.
  25. United Nations - Our world government forums type of thing. World Bank - could be where the world government gets the money from, working with Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) International Monetary Fund. World Health Organization World Trade Organization International Criminal Court World Council on Churches. Smaller parts are the European Unon North American Union. African Union ... along with their respected 'think tanks' that do lobby and influence and shape nation governments to get the results they desire. There are things happening behind closed doors that none of us are aware of. But they seem to reveal themselves in the media in some way or another. it is subtle and kind of hits the subconcious.
