Conservative Eve Adams crosses the floor to Liberals

Except den Tandt is not a right winger unless your name is Marx. Karl Marx, not one of the brothers. He has been shredding Harper relentlessly for years and loves Trudeau deeply. Not so much any more. -

are they really? My friend in SW Ontario sold tens of millions of $ worth of small solar setups to people on the basis of big tariffs guaranteed for 20 years by Ontario Hydro. Are they reneging on their contracts? -
speaking of PC leaders , is Rob Ford finally going to step forward and lead Ontario back to greatness?

as did the Liberals with Jean Chretien. The Cons were on the brink of canning Mulroney but he quit to save face before a ruinous election. -

So is Michael den Tandt of the National Post. He has been a relentless Trudeau cheerleader for at least 3 years, from well before he was leader. -

Is there anyone in this country more overpaid than realtors?
overthere replied to Argus's topic in Business and Economy
how much are commissions there? $433k would be about $17k in commissions here, and negotiable downward. -
Yikes, that is serious money. Albertas debt is around $12 billion, which is up from zero a couple years ago.

The attendance record in the Senate and House of Commons is not reflective of hard work. Perhaps you could expand on the hard work required to be appointed to the Senate. for one side of the deal means a total commission of $26K. That is an expensive house/condo -
No, there are 14,000 season ticket holders in Edmonton for years and none of them bought them so they could go to one game, when the Leafs are in town. Leafs fans do pay goofy prices- I'be heard as much as $1k each in Edmonton - to watch two awful teams. There are so very many economic refugees from Toronto in Calgary and Edmonton it is no surprise they attend games. Ottawa dn Buffalos they can drive. Winnipeg- you had it right. Nobody goes there voluntarily.

Proportional Representation Discussion

Sorry, you cannot use Greece as a model of any kind of responsible govt, withthe possible exception of the city states of 2500 years ago. Since then, they have been pretty much pathetic and that defintiely includes their new government. Greece is not in trouble because of any external factors, they are in the crap because they have mismanaged themselves for many generations of corruption, dictatorship and rampant personal greed. Your references to The Troika as some sort of evil empire is laughable and silly. Tspiras represents a 'us vs. them' rallying screech because it is a convenient Orwellian bogeyman. Oldest trick in the book: invent an enemy because it is more pleasant than the truth. And the truth is that the Greeks have been borrowing and spending other peoples money for a very long time, and now that is over. They need to start collecting and paying their own income taxes, for starters. All the doors are closed for Tspiras, nobody except perhaps China will lend him a drachma, and he will not want to imagine the terms they will extract. He is going to be backpedaling furiously from all the idiotic overpromises he made during the election. More bad management. -

Buffalo already had the 1 or 2 pick locked up, they were almost certain to finish last since the Olers are playing much better lately. Now they have 30th place locked up. That means they get McDavid or Eichel- for this year only they cannot drop more than one place in the lottery draft. They gave up their best defenceman and some offence in Myers and Stafford. In return, they got nothing that can help them now- which is fine for them. Winnipeg wins, they got two players that can help them make the playoffs. Overall, a draw. -
Proportional Representation Discussion

Canada should follow the lead of such stellar economic giants as Greece, Portugal, Italy and Spain all of whom use some form of proportional representation. It's really worked out well for them, why not us? -

well of course she is desperate. The Cons had just told her she was not going to be allowed to run anywhere in Canada for the Cons. The reason was her misconduct in her riding during the nomination process. She is a few years short of qualifying for a fat pension. Connect the numbers. -
The Oilers will be in their new $600 million arena in late 2016. The managment has been sending surveys to season ticket holders on possible scenarios for transferring season ticket rights to the new barn. They've also laid out a range of possible prices for those seats, nearly all of which involve substantial price hikes. You have to wonder at the extreme balls required for that, at this time.

Huh? Any informed buyer will have a good idea if the market is favouring buyers and sellers. It's not a secret The advice you noted may well be excellent and truthful.
