Army Guy

We do have Canadians guarding the inside of our embassies. The Retired Gurkhas were guarding the outside of the compound and control entrance ( main Gate). Canada does not want a heavy military presence in any of our embassies, and has a long history of using contractors to do this job. In fact most of our military in the embassies are not in uniform but civilian cloths unless there in a official capacity....and then the security is only a couple of MP, military police...no Army guards such as Marines....

Here is what the first couple of lines say.......they report a 22 % increase for 2015 on violent crimes....... And below here we see over all crime states also see increases this time by 5 %.....for 2014/15 SO when Bonam quotes crime stats have been on the decline since 1990, that statement is not true, they have been increasing since 2014.....

Here is the first couple of lines in the story.......you be the judge does it say violent crime is up 22 %......So if it is UP....that would be the opposite of Down would it not.....Bonam has posted that crime has been declining since 1990.....and yet Here is the next couple of sentences....which show over all crime was up 5%, another increase so looks like crime is not declining , but rather increasing since 2014..... and while it may still be below the 1990 peak numbers....it is still an increase is it not.....

According to the media the company has made payments. It is not a problem with Capitalism, this is a third world company , that pays out 3 rd world compensation, with that said what harm would it of created if Canada had said we will match NAPAL's contribution, it would have been a great opportunity for Canada to show how generous it is, after all it was Canadians diplomates that these Gurka were protecting...I mean 23,000 us dollars is spent every min by our government and a lot of it on useless shit.....here we would have gotten back so much more for our investment....

Liberal's making friends every where they go.....This does not surprise me , Canada can not even look after it's own soldiers.....but to take this stand on the inter national stage is stupid for the lack of a better word. Are they at historical lows or are they on the raise.....perhaps a source that shows 2017 is even lower than 2016

I just like to point out , that regardless of how much taxes you pay, each Canadian citizen has but one vote, each one being of equal value, one tax payer does not have more say or influence than the other based on taxes paid ....Second each Citizen does not have a say as to where each of their tax dollars is invested, you can express your dislike through media, or rallies etc etc but one does not get to say i want all my tax dollars going to support health care for instance....so to guarantee you pay more in taxes than the rest of us is a mout point, and more of a dick measuring contest..... The government has a responsibility to invest funding into what is best for the country....some of these policies may not be popular, but they still need to be taken seriously.....and they still need to be funded.....People like you forget that each one of our soldiers, are tax paying , canadian men and women, and when you tell the government you want to starve them, it means you place their lives in danger though cheap equipment, and supplies, and reduced training.....but then again, it all comes down to money for some canadians, it is cheaper to bury our own citizens than to pay for good equipment.....unless it is your son or daughter. It is this attitude that is spreading across the country....you should be so proud, to place a money value on live itself.....if this is what we value our soldiers what do you think your life is worth...... Your comment about starving civilian leaders of the tools because they can not be trusted is "paranoid" and unwarranted for our nation, i could see that if we lived in north korea, or some unstable country on the african continent or middle east.....but Canada come on really, maybe if someone messed with Hockey night in Canada, or closed the beer stores, or said no sex when it is 20 below.....but that is not the case......and you call the right fear mongering.... First of why elect them if they can not be trusted,.... with running the entire nation.....i mean one could destroy our way of living without even touching our military, through destruction of health care, or economy, etc etc you get the point..... ...to even suggest that Canada has a powerful military is even crazier than your "i can't trust them" comment.....it would take decades upon decades to build a military that could influence the out side world.....today we may have a military that might be able to influence PEI..... Here in Canada the land of plenty, with excesses of everything ever where you look, you've come up with It's all mine , all mine, precious .....and i don't want to share with anyone.....regardless of circumstances....they are starving, or destroyed by conflict, your attitude is to Ffffeeing bad i can't fix the world...Sounds like a Canadian thing to do....or is it just you... You make it sound like the US is stuck, that they have no choice but to bear all the burden, of costs and manpower ....while the rest of the lurkers go on parting like it was 1999. What exactly does the US have to do to make you believe that the free ride is over.....and yet maybe they are doing it because their are tired of paying the bill and the US does need NATO, NATO needs the us, you should keep that in mind.....they are standing at our table with their hands out....time to man up and give up some of the party money...

I've got nothing to hide.....i may have the odd beer sitting on my tail gate....but i don't get bent out of shape when driving, to the point i break a women arms, or pepper spray a 2 year old....So ya hook them cameras up....i might give every one time to think about what they are doing....might even save you some money on a insurance claim, maybe even a ticket....

You have said that, and yet your vision is the one clouded not mine.........My experiences in the war, have colored my view....i seen riots on a massive scale over 100,000 people in one space at one time, rioting because a American soldier mistakenly burned some qurans.....45 people died at their own hands....this happen twice in one tour.....all we did was close down our gates and watch, sad really ....we also seen the after math of stonings down by locals, for stupid stuff, all of them ended up with dead muslims with the others clinging to back ward believes, hoping that one day it is not them that has broken some rule. And while this is Afghanistan and not some of the so called moderate muslim countries.....you will still see these back ward beliefs raise their ugly heads...all of it can be tied to their interpretation of their religion. I do want Muslims to stand up and say enough is enough.....But they can't they are not allowed to close ranks to change the face of their religion....it is not permitted....and the rest of the world can not do it for them....Dialameh is going to have to let Islam fight it's own battles....

Perhaps it is because ISIS and other terrorists have a much larger voice, not to mention groups of muslims in europe and the US who are actively seeking sharia law, when it comes to describing Islam to westerns...It is not enough for a few muslims to stand up and denounce them.....what is needed is for entire nations to stand up and put an end to these groups.....actions speak stronger than words.....But perhaps it is these nations that are supporting these fringe groups.....Making our fears true....

They are shaking the boat , they have grown tired of paying for everything, and ponying up the troops all of the time.....they have every reason to complain....Canada has been free loading for quite awhile now, it's time to live up to our agreements.

Yes, it would be nice to have a government that would spend the bils we need to repair our infra structure.....and even though ours is not in good shape that is not an excuse to go rambo on fellow drivers, and for a man to attack a women and break both her arms, or spray a 2 year old with pepper spray is cowardly.....as in there is no excuse that could ever explain these attacks....Last time i checked your drivers license is a privilege not a right ..... Dash cams on every veh would hold everyone responsible for their own actions.....or at least record the crime and provide police the evidence to convict....which is what we want right to take these wingnuts off the roads....i don't mind the loss of a small bit of my freedoms, to ensure our streets were safer...

I used the example of the Canadian Coast because the Liberals were going to use this agency as a underhanded trick to boast military spending, to make it look like we spend more of our GDP on defense....nothings is above the liberals including lying to our allieds in order to not pay our agreed amount in percentage of GDP...which shows the world our actual commitment towards NATO....towards any of our defensive agreements.

Yes the Defense review we have all been waiting on, this is where we find out exactly how the people of Canada think about our military, by answering those important questions, like how should it be funded, equipped, etc.....Now we already know that the majority of Canadians do not want to spend more on the military... so how is all this current NATO spending going to sit with those Canadians that took their time on the surveys.... Not very well, the liberals are looking for the US to find some middle ground..... In fact they are looking at 1.2 percent....now there is a huge compromise on NATO's part..and if that was to much for Canadians to swallow ....they will try and include the funding of our Coast Guard into the the DND budget....but wait a minute, the coast guard is not armed, nor do they have the mandate to defend anything really, we'll have to keep an eye on this one, because the Liberals have already changed the way things are reported to suit their needs. Remember how our F-18's were counted and how their numbers were prioritized , a quick stroke of the pen and boom shac alaca boom.....now we don't have enough F-18's to do the job...that some how we had enough for 25 years. SO to sum things up.....there is going to be increases in military spending ....according to liberals they are going to low ball NATO, to see where that goes....Canada will try a little bit of magic by deploying it's forces around the globe to make up some of the shortfall in it's NATO spending.....According to the Liberals don't expect any increases to our military this year....their proposed increases will be over 10 years.....WOW that will address all the shortfalls within our military....i can't wait to see how they deal with other problems in the country.....like legalization of pot.....more disappointment all around...but hey sunny ways are on the way....just 2 more years until the next election cycle...

Maybe it should be mandatory to have cameras installed in all cars, capture this non sense on tape and have the laws changed to have driver license suspended for a time period....or for life....I get it that i have called some drivers a few words that are not so nice, most of the time under my breath as i haul my grand children around now....but to follow some one home, pepper spray a 2 year old, now you've crossed the line, and should not be driving period.....in fact you should be locked up...

No, i happy to answer most questions, Canadians should know more about our military and what they do, i might be the reason we have such a disconnect....between the two...that being said i don't want to become someone's science project either...this has happened in the past.
