What scholars up until this point in this topic you've presented 3 opinions of 3 generals on what they thought of the use of the atomic wpn on Japan...are these the scholars you talk about.....perhaps you'd like to let us in on your sources or the supposed scholars..... There are dozens of recorded uses of Chemical wpns , by at least 3 different groups in syria one being the Syrian regular army, groups loyal to assad, and the rebel group....and it has not been years....since the last attack....

War is a very powerful event , it can bring out the worst of people and the best of people......nobody knows how they are going to react to this environment, from one day to another....I say this because i have seen it first hand and read many accounts from Victoria cross and medal of honor winners that showed heroic accounts on one day, but also cowardly accounts on another....it was very common in WWII for soldiers to just wonder off during combat, and travel back to the big cities for a rest, get caught or give up to MP's and return to their unit.....The human brain can only take so much horror....before it does something, such as puts the body into a catatonic state, to the point you might hear voices or do something not in your nature, such as gun down civilians...you may be alright one day, and then totally dysfunctional the next....the longer you are in a combat zone, exposed to death and destruction, they worst your condition will be....So it is easy to judge those that have had these conditions.....by others who do not understand...They did not create this monster.....Our governments did.... Above is an example of how they conducted their study and arrived at their numbers....i take it you read that part of the source.........they did a survey of 1850 Iraqi households, then used math to come up with their numbers for the rest of the country........and this is the gold standard of estimating Casualties....what we do not know is how many were wounded, how many killed, and by whom, .....now according to you and your source any of these deaths or woundings, would not have happened if the US and it's coalition were not there......so all fingers are now pointing at the west..... I also want to point out that the numbers they estimated for Iraq conflict are 390,000 to 940,000......WOW that is the gold standard for accuracy...sounds like odds you get at the horse track.....this is what confuses me that my wiki source, has sources list within it, such as WHO, UN, NGO's, even Amnesty inter national ....now they say there numbers are from counting the actual wounded and dead.... and some how they are not good enough for you, that you had to resort to this source that guessed..... One more thing , i added up the numbers for Afghanistan, and Iraq, but they don't even come close to the 4 mil mark....in fact they don't come close to the 1 mil mark....of course maybe i'm guessing.....or using the new math.... Sorry i misunderstood your question.....Syria is backed by Russia, therefore it restricts what the west can do to Syria, without causing another conflict....Keep in mind that Turkey is part of the west, and it is also taking part in this conflict...... I am not justifying anything.....What i said was those 4 million killed is a lie.....not true.....If you add up all those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, you will find that 85% of them were killed by other muslims......But that is not what we are talking about is it....we are just talking about deaths of muslims attributed to Coalition forces.....and while that number is still way to high, But we are talking about a war here , and innocent people are going to die that much is a fact.....It is not just a western thing.....it happens when there is a conflict....
