I see the incidents are similar, what i don't see is an ... a equal response by both sides...For instance during this attack, there has been overwhelming response by all Canadians to condemn this attack, Canadians are Pissed off, not just the muslim community but most Canadians....they want justice and they want it bad....we are talking more about this attack as a nation, not all of it is good, but we are talking..... Cpl Cirillo attack , on the other hand , yes it sparked some discussions, most of them were about muslims, and terrorism, and the muslim community did say a few things....condemning the attacks, etc etc , but there is always a but.....their response was some what muted to a point.....Here we have other Muslims offering to pay for funerals, to rebuild the mosque, and so on....we have other Canadians also offering help both financial and in support of making this right...... and alot of this support response is coming from other Canadians, across Canada....Not that this is a bad thing, maybe we are just growing tired of the terrorism thing....and the next attack i hope the muslim community steps it up as well.....they need to be the leaders in this fight....regardless of whom carries out the attack.....show other Canadians where they stand, to stop this growing tit for tat thing....all terrorism needs to be put down hard....it needs to happen fast....Canadian muslim population needs to send the message to incoming muslims as well ....you rock the boat, we'll throw you out....don't bring all that hate into our new country....They need to earn the trust of other Canadians....

He was wearing a uniform, a regular US army uniform, his red cross arm band was turned inside out, as to not show his red cross..... as required by the genva convention when carrying a wpn ( long arm).....He was following the convention......Omar was not wearing any uniform nor any identifying flag or band , contray to the convention....he was a civilian, who illegally took part in combat.....which is again'st the law.....which is why he can and was charged with murder.....see those conventions are made to protect civilians and soldiers alike.....if civilians start engaging soldiers it becomes difficult for soldiers to know who is who....See Omar was a Canadian citizen.....not afghanis....while not illigal, it is once you pick up arms for that nation.......he was later found out he was working for a terrorist outfit.....That's a big fat illegal......it's a criminal charge....during his trail it was proved he carried out terrorist activities....such as reporting troop movements and planting IEDs against coalition forces.......another criminal charge....the fact he was employed in a bomb makers shop was a NATO death sentence, meaning a kill order did not have to be generated to raid or capture any body involved with making IED's translated he could have been killed/ captured any where at any time.....he was lucky to have survived.... The fact he had a Sat phone on him and had used it the night before is what brought the shit storm all down.....as they knew who he was talking to , and they knew it was a high valued target.....and they wanted to know who he was speaking to.....happens to be omar.... as for the Sgt Speers him and his unit came under effective fire.....WTF did you want him to do....the fact that he was treating othesr medically during the fire fight means shit to you....because he was not acting as a medic at the time.......he was doing both.....i know hard concept....Omar was not charged with killing a operational medic, which is and has it's own set of conventions........he was charged with killing a US soldier, in a battle that omar should not have been in....

Reality is we could do alot better .....lets talk refugee for a min, what happened to all those that we interviewed , but had no papers or ID's because they were lost or destroyed in the conflict, or so the story goes, also how long did each interview last, i know some of the guys that were over there they say on average 45 mins, some less some more.....45 mins to determine good or bad.....little indepth research was conducted, as most of the time there no way to get a hold of character witnesses, or references....lets remember that this was a first time mission for the CF, and they conducted it as best they knew how......the rest of the organizations there had not conducted this type of mission either....it was all made up on the fly....
