  1. We pay incomes tax. Someone released a story the our day claiming we pay 45% in taxes in this country. More than one pays on food and shelter combined. We are taxed to death in this country. http://www.canadafreepress.com/2007/klaus042007.htm
  2. prove it I don't have to prove anything. Your anti capitalist rants smearing good companies proves it.
  3. that is the opposite of truth -- the Peace Corps and Volunteers In Service To America have been venues to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ - helping mankind, improving the lot of all men it is the servants of greed who spread sex-slavery to the Mariannas Islands and produced the criminal corporations of Enron and Haliburton and it's slugs like Dubya who hired Brownie and Monica Goodling and Scooter Libby and KKKarl Rove Commie nonsense.
  4. There are four core industries. From which all else comes from. That can't be changed. It is a natural law that has always existed and always will. Kyoto would devastate those industries and the everything else would collapse along with it.
  5. Until liberals turned government into a self serving bloated bureaucracy.
  6. That has nothing to do with the constitution or treachery. On the other hand. Like Clinton himself said, the constitution is a obsticale to good government. Which is wrong. The constitution is an obstacle to tyrants like Clinton and the dems, who would sell the country out. Just like the left in this country who worship the cesspool of corruption.
  7. Oh yes.... right from the jaws!!! Loose lips sinks ships. The left are the enemy from within.
  8. Hell ScottSA, they've been traitors for years. They are the experts at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
  9. More information. http://www.ec.gc.ca/doc/media/m_123/toc_eng.html This will be the good news. There are to many variables that they can't factor in. They can only factor in how many business they know will close their doors, they can't predict what business will actually do. They make assumptions that business will pay the extortion and not just close their doors and move out of the country. There is no way of knowing how investment will react. If investment doesn't get a return, they pull their money, foreign investment would avoid the country like the plague. They can't predict the effect it will have on wages. Exactly how many people will lose their homes and most likely collapse the real estate market. They can't predict how it will snowball. How many people are living pay cheque to pay cheque with mortgages and other payments. Even if they have a job they're gone immediately. It takes a long time to build a economy and it becomes complicated in the process but wrecked virtually over night.
  10. That is the biggest pile of stupidity I have ever heard.
  11. 'Fat Freddie' date='Apr 18 2007, 03:45 PM' post='209448'] If there is a problem with gangs, then ban the gangs. Banning fire arms is one definition of a police state. The people should wise up to politicians who call for banning fire arms and toss them out. The proper solution here is right to carry laws like they have done in most of the states.
  12. You just said two different things. You said ban the use, and ban fire arms.
  13. We have a tax like that here, and nobody likes it. It's also on labour, and it becomes tax on tax. For instance. There is tax on gasoline, then they apply the 6% GST on top of that.
  14. The FairTax Plan is a nonpartisan national grassroots campaign to replace the federal income tax system with a progressive national retail sales tax. It provides a "prebate" to ensure no American pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level, dollar-for-dollar federal revenue replacement and, through companion legislation, repeal of the 16th Amendment. How would you rebate it.
  15. No, you do not have to be Methuselah.
  16. date='Apr 17 2007, 09:45 PM' post='209173'] ... Nonsense. Have you ever seen where a forest fire clear cut a forest and then it grew back. I have, many many times. If they say that's what they are taking then that's what they are taking. In that type of forest I expect that would be true. Clear cutting only occurs where that is the only feasible way to log. Not only that, but those types of forest need to be logged that way. By taking some trees but not others leaves those trees vulnerable to being blown over by the wind because their root system in that type of setting will not support the tree in a wind. Thus those trees are lost anyway. Even clear cutting doesn't take every tree because not every tree is big enough to be a log. How do you now that's logging and not land clearing.
  17. 'Guthrie' date='Apr 16 2007, 05:54 PM' post='208608'] CO2 is a tiny component of green house gases and virtually irrelevant. It never controlled temperature in the past and it is not now, nor have the alarmists proven it does. Water vapor is the main green house gas. The rain forest is not being destroyed by cutting a few trees for lumber, and infact if you cut it all down it would all grow back. If you cut non of it. The trees they now cut for lumber would die anyway and be replaced. Only a no nothing leftist would say making a living is greed. They would rather create jobless people and poverty.
  18. The problem is not with the banks loaning money, it is the way they calculate interest. Some people think the government could just hand out free money. Well they couldn't. They would have to do it the same way the banks do or it would have no value. Countries have tried that and they ended up printing more and more money becoming more worthless every time. Banks may create and manage the money, and financial transactions, but they also see that it gets it's value, and government controls the supply. Money is what you pay, and value is what you get.
  19. But he did. The 911 perps never had a gun that we know of, and a hell of lot more died. Maybe if we didn't have planes, buildings, box cutters Arabs, no one would have died.
  20. Actually what happened today was over a girl. So I guess you don't have a point. In fact you never did.
  21. 'gc1765' date='Apr 17 2007, 01:32 AM' post='208847'] This a credible source. The sources who are not credible are the one's who all but kept it a secret. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/8/28/110744.shtml http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/10/8/112447.shtml http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/10/8/112447.shtml Iraq has proven it's self to be a threat to the US since at least the first gulf war. We have Saddam's own words of what he wanted to do. That is enough. But they choose to fight in Iraq. We don't know is, isn't, might or might not be. But we will deal with those who choose to be. Well like the old saying goes. You can feck fight, old the light, or get the hell out of the road. We didn't start this war and no matter how much you wish it would go away, it's not, and we have to fight it.
  22. That's really as far as I'm reading. Tell it to the 30 some that got it today in virgia.
  23. 'gc1765' date='Apr 17 2007, 12:58 AM' post='208832'] Well they were, the yellow cake story is actually true. Iraq did try to buy yellow cake but was turned down. Iraq already had yellow cake which the Americans flew out of Iraq after they defeated Saddam's army. Iraq was a threat because they already proved it. You don't know that for a fact. That is the way war is fought. Choose the battlefield. By your own words, if the terrorists are busy in Iraq, they can't be in the US at the same time, their world wide networks have been disrupted, many of their leaders killed. The fact there has been no more attacks on this side is at least evidence it is working. Like I said before, it's not over by a long ways. They have plenty of patience, and we need to learn patience and quit looking for the quick fix. It's not that kind of war.
  24. Since Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11...perhaps you could explain how Iraq was a threat without brining up 9/11? Iraq was a threat to everyone. They were trying to restart there weapons program, Saddam call for killing Americans many times, he was funding terrorists we know that. He had to go, but more than that it gave us something we didn't have, and needed. A second front. Another battlefield to split their forces, a draw for terrorists, and it has worked. This war, didn't start with Iraq, it started a long time ago. Iraq is not the war, it is just one battle in war that is going to continue for some time yet.
