How a man like Klein who keeps making such outrageously poor taste and judgement statements can keep getting elected in beyond belief. I suppose Albertans believe that he put the oil in the ground????
-
Anyone who would vote for a man that uses this type of racial slurs should hang their heads in shame. Any Quebeckers who wish to separate and become better friends and trading partners with the USA; should re think the idea.

Well, I think British Columbians have enough of Gordon Campbell; he makes any other choice look good. Better a government that spend our money unwisely in and for BC than a government that gives away all our assets and jobs to foreign interests. -

people with common sense and decency voted to ensure Harper and company did not rule this country, That would have been disastrous.

Bro if you read the article you would have noticed that he is being investigated for hate crimes and counter terrorism. Don't make false statements without investigating your idea -
Where did you get that pearl of wisdom. Canada ia too small to get good trade deals now. The USA m,ust be an exception.

No it is why the working man gets shafted so the rich man get richer. It has nothing to do with China or any other country.
-
We work just as hard as Albertans. Now with a right winged government the money guys get the money and the people who do the dangerous jobs get shafted. I am not a environmentalist nut but I do think we need to pay attention and make a better effort at protecting the environment. We need to consider future generations, too. Our fishing industries don't get bailed out like the east coast; we were hit by SARS which we controlled (prior to Campbell replacing all our healthcare hospital workers with the cheapest alternative); we still din't get baled out by the feds. In BC we just get back to work without the unending whining. It is a waste of time and energy. On the west coast; we may often get the short end of the stick but we are still better being part of a larger entity such as Canada than we would be as a small country such as BC alone.

Equalization payment are only there to help with making the poorer provinces more equal. They are not supposed to be a permanent subsidy. If the province becomes as rich as Ontario then Yes, definitely, they should be paying towards other provinces equalization payments; not continuing to recieve them. Geesh. -

Stoker; can you not realize that whatever else happens; man does contribute to polluting our planet and that is better to err on the side of caution then to go in denial so that we can carry on with our rape and plunder of the planet to satisfy our selfish interests. I may drive an SUV but I don't drive it often. I use transit for work and use my vehicle for grocery shopping. Last month I used less than 16 dollars of gas. -

Here is a well know source for you stoker -
There are many dangerous occupations; including logging or truck driving. Government regulations need to be tightened up to ensure their safety. However, I would bet that the big American oil companies that are reaping the profits from the oil workers prefer to save money and consider them acceptable collateral damage.

I think this article says it all; that Bush's action are unjustified and evil.
-
Under no circumstance would I wish for four more years of Bush/ Cheney. I do not believe that he can do no more harm. I think that if America re-elects him it will appear to be condoning his actions and that may fuel even more terrorism. I think that many more people here will lose any respect and faith in the American people acting in good faith. I would sure cross them off my X MAS card list.

Hopefully we will not develop our off shore oil industry until it can be done safely without injuring the environment. We don't need oil spills on our coastline. My understanding is they do get the money from their resources; just diminishes their subsidy. Why should they still be subsidized??? I don't think BC gets much of a subsidy anyhow and we will be soon one of the ones paying out as before. -

Is that not what the feds have offered; however these provinces want their cake and eat it too. /They don't want this new found wealth to cut their subsidy. -
We are already paying a recently increased Medical premium to the provinces with no improvements. It is not by hard work that Alberta has wealth; it is merely their luck that they have good resources that produces the cash; OIL. No by working hard just luck.

YOUR SOURCE Everyone has an opinion; why not err on the side of caution and quit polluting our planet unnecessarily. eh -
There is no magic bullet but Bush's departure with his puppet master Cheny would go a long way towards normalizing relations with the USA. Hopefully, Kerry would be a little more respectful of other countries right to their own decisions.

That is not the case here in BC. They have been in power and hopefully, will be again come May next year. I do like many of their ideas but many we really just cannot afford. However, since we have a right wing government now that seems intent on selling off all our assets to foreign powers and neglect Health Care, education and children's ministries in favour of fancy transit system to the airport while our buses are falling apart. The one I rode home in today kept scrapping the street because it had too full of a load of people. The NDP seem to be a little more humane and honest but have troubles controlling spending. However, the "Liberals" here spend for the rich and cut programs for the rest of us. -

Trudeau didn't need 5 Liberals in Alberta. The NEP was good legislation. NFLD and NS have been being heavily subsidized for ever; greedy -
let's face it; Canadians are no more sainted than any other country's citizens. We have a robust underground economy. We just cheat a little so that Revenue Canada doesn't get suspicious.
