  1. Is it pointless to try and have a discussion with a leftist? These are typical responses over a mere two hour period. "Ewww, you are so gross you pedophile LOSER LOL LOL LOL" "As I said in another thread you are a 100% qualified pedophile LOSER " "Yup, in front of you alright...as you , the pedophile LOSER, seems to want it. " "So sad you try to disprove your paedophiliac LOSER ways and still remain a LOSER LOL LOL LOL These are schoolyard insults.
  2. It's hard to deny that this particular leadership convention was not cringeworthy. Seriously, 'equity cards'? They've made themselves look pretty foolish.
  3. If anyone was wondering if Carney would try to distance himself from CCP/Liberal MP spokesman Michael Ma and his shameful defense of the use of forced labor in China, the answer is..no. Carney will be attending a fundraiser hosted by Michael Ma.😐
  4. Keffiyehs are often worn by people that have an intense hatred for Israel and Jews in general. Government run grocery stores is just a bad idea. Why not let government run all stores? Union membership has been trending down for years, even when the massive increase in the public service is taken into account. I was in the Teamsters for 17 years and they were absolutely useless. The dues were high and Local 91 always shut us down every time we tried to get in on the Teamster pension plan. They did repeatedly protect the shop steward(who was also the biggest troublemaker in the shop) from being fired. The NDP member may have just chosen a leader that will pull the party down even farther than Jagmeet did, and that's saying a lot.
  5. I don't understand exactly how these NDP 'equity cards' work as they are different colours and I can't see what's written on them. But from the short video, it seems that they may be similar to a deck of playing cards in that certain 'equity cards' trump other 'equity cards' like a Jack trumps a 10 and so on, thus giving those with higher cards the right to speak ahead of others? I wonder what the highest card is in that loony deck? It is funny though😆 https://tdpelmedia.com/far-left-canadians-argue-over-equity-cards-at-2026-ndp-leadership-convention-in-edmonton/ “Equity Cards” are mini identifiers handed out at this convention that signal certain social categories — gender, race, disability, Indigenous status, and more — with the aim of encouraging inclusive speaking order and recognition. The system was introduced as part of the NDP’s effort to amplify voices historically marginalized in political spaces. But what was meant to foster inclusion instead became a flashpoint. During a caucus session, one woman objected loudly after she wasn’t recognized to speak, pointing to her equity card and saying she held “gender equity” status and deserved acknowledgment. Another delegate quickly responded, arguing that her own card — noting her identity as a Black woman — carried weight only within the enclosed political context and didn’t represent real equity outside the room.
  6. Is there an actual limit to just how far-left the NDP can go?
  7. So now it's official, Avi Lewis (they, them) is now leading the NDP. Pronouns🙄
  8. I can't see the US ever resorting to the A-bomb on Iran, or on any other country. The world-wide backlash would be massive. Even with all of the damage inflicted against the Islamist regime, they will never stop trying to develop nuclear weapons. They will start from scratch as often as it takes. And if did ever get the bomb, they are crazy enough to use them. Islamists cannot be reasoned with much less trusted. Having said that, I don't know that this war can be won without boots on the ground. The US should be getting more help from it's so-called allies.
  9. Matters with Stellantis are in the capable hands of Melanie Joly🤣
  10. Why not have DEI for professional sports teams? The Maple Leafs and Canadiens are too white aren't they?
  11. Michael Ma defending his government. Shame on the Conservatives for a sh*tty job in vetting this man before accepting him as a candidate. Shame on the Liberals for welcoming him into their party even after they knew who he truly serves.
  12. Matlock is rolling over in his grave now😬
  13. How sad that late night tv has gone from the the great heights of Carson and Leno, to the lowest, zero-talent hosts of today.
  14. The government did nothing in the past when the longest ballot committee targeted ridings to hurt the Conservatives. But now that this crackpot committee is targeting Terrabonne which is important to the Liberals, now the Carney Liberals have decided to take action by closing nomination loopholes. It won't be in time to prevent the LBC from using their childish tactics in Terrabonne, but hopefully prevent this kind of interference in the future. The Liberals stood idly by when it was used against Conservatives, but when it it's used against them.....
  15. Yeah, she loves to spend and clearly doesn't care about showing restraint with public money. https://nationalpost.com/news/governor-general-spent-3-million-in-travel-2022
  16. It is slightly higher but I would guess that it's mostly because of the poor diet of Americans and their easy access to junk food which is probably pretty scarce in Cuba. When I was in Cuba 20 years ago, I only remember seeing one person in 7 days that was a bit chubby, everyone else that I saw was rather slim.
  17. Hard to explain, but it is nice to see that we share some common ground on this issue.
  18. Whose side is the LPOC on in this war? Well, Carney has kind of condemned Hamas...but went on to reward them by recognizing 'palestine'. And then there is his inaction/indifference to the fact that terrorist groups are having a rather easy time raising funds in Canada. Add to that the fact that the Liberals are allowing these terrorists, IRGC members etc, to freely enter the country. Little to no vetting process it seems. Conclusion: their indifference most certainly helps the Islamists who despise the West. Canadians 'should be alarmed' Hezbollah financing activity is operating in this country, says CIJA official B.C.'s Seven Seas for International Trading, run by Lebanese‑Canadian financier Raoof Fadel, has been named as one company in an international network operating to finance Hezbollah https://archive.ph/zCXNp#selection-2115.0-2119.181
  19. She ticks off two extremely important boxes, indigenous and female. She has very expensive tastes too.
  20. The obvious issues, like housing shortages, out of control immigration, crime, grocery prices, homelessness, etc All issues that have gotten demonstrably worse under this government. Yes, THIS government. It's pretty much the same bunch of incompetents running the show since 2015.
  21. I do not. I think it's incompatible with Western society to put it mildly. I also believe that sooner or later, it's going to take root in Canada. It's probably already being observed in some muslim communities. "Muslim values are Canadian values!" Mark Carney
  22. When has the left ever stood up against these things that are apparently part of sharia law?
