  1. ...I think I am more conservative and I'll question it all.
  2. Cain is definitely not the most honest of them all, Ron Paul is. Has Ron Paul ever lied, has he ever flip flopped like the other candidates. Wait, he use to be for the death penalty now he is against it. Cain is inconsistent...he tells the people it is their fault for being poor and having no job then he goes on to say it is Obama's fault for the terrible shape the economy is in. So is it Obama's fault or is it the peoples fault that they have no job. Also, when Cain is asked what is stopping any future government from upping the 9-9-9 to 10-10-10 or higher, he just says that won't happen...of course that can happen. None of these "conservative" candidates have even offered up any real spending cuts except Ron Paul. All the candidates say they need to get government out of the way and let the free market work, I don't think they even know what a free market is, I think they use that term because they know it is one of the terms that makes republicans feel good inside. A true free market would not have a central bank.
  3. Good video. People will probably discredit it because it uses the words New World Order in it. I hope that song was actually blasting out the car while he drove.
  4. Is it indisputable that the vast majority of the Libyan people wanted him gone...I am looking at some videos of people who keep in contact with Libyans and report Libyan news and they are saying a majority of the people liked Gaddafi. I know they could be wrong but who knows...I stopped believing anything the Government and main stream media says so I am not going to take their word for it.
  5. I think the reason the they wanted Gaddafi out of power and dead is because he wanted to create a gold backed currency and trade oil in it instead of the US dollar, he also wanted other middle eastern and African countries to use it.
  6. Being robbed blind, ya, I think that is what they are protesting against. I wish these protesters looked more into monetary policy and central banking, until they do that they will continue to be robbed blind. They know something is wrong but they do not have enough education so they don't know what is wrong...there is no solutions in what they are offering. I am heading down to occupy Winnipeg tomorrow, I wanna try and better understand why they are there.
  7. If you are insinuating that Paul is against gays, he is not. He wants the government to get out of the marriage business, he thinks that you shouldn't have to get a marriage license from the government. He wants marriage to go back to the church, the church clearly defines marriage as being between a man and a women. He doesn't care if gays are together or if they want to create their own type of union.
  8. You'll come around sooner or later. What don't you like about the guy?
  9. Ron Paul announces his plan to restore America on CNN He wants to cut $1 trillion dollars in federal spending in the first year of his presidency.
  10. How is bombing countries better?
  11. Definitely not. We should end all our involvement in all wars abroad and bring all our troops home. Canada should get the hell out of NATO.
  12. I am not sure that your country has much more opportunity or corporatism. If it has more opportunity it would be because you have more of a capitalistic society.
  13. The tea party did not start off as being part of the right. I was following that movement before it was called the tea party. It started off as a libertarian movement. They were against the Fed, government intervention in their lives and for ending the wars. It was quickly hijacked by the right. I was also following the OWS movement before the mainstream media. Back when they just had a couple of camera's and they were streaming live on the internet. It was only about getting corporate influence out of government. I would also argue that it was a libertarian movement but it too was quickly hijacked by the left. I do not like what both the tea party and OWS have become. As for the rest of your post, I agree with the majority of it. I too don't think governments should be responsible for redistributing the wealth threw taxation. I am not looking for equality in income, what I want is equality in opportunity. Both here in Canada and in the US there is corporatism. We give special privileges to corporations, that is why they are able to grow so large and have so much influence over our lives. That is what I believe people should be protesting, I think the people at OWS are looking at the symptoms rather then the disease.
  14. Nah, that isn't it at all. The Tea Party was hijacked by the right, OWS is being hijacked by the left. What they both initially stood for is being lost in all the rhetoric but it will not be forgotten, you will see it coming back in another form.
  15. I think that starting with the tea party, now the OWS protests and I am sure there will be lager protests to follow...all together they are the start of what till be the second American Revolution. "If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." -Thomas Jefferson It seems like people are finally waking up.
  16. I was at the G20, it was only a small group of people doing any damage, the vast majority were peacefully protesting.
  17. I didn't see anyone trying to sell me on socialism or communism in those videos. There are many people on the right at these demonstrations too...a lot of them a Ron Paul supporters But the issue isn't right verse left as you keep claiming it is, it is more up vs down. It the people feeling knowing that they are not being represented. I think this video is a better representation of the spirit of OWS
  18. I would say the greater majority of the people on this site have no idea what occupy wall street is about, you guys keep claiming it is about increases state socialism and raising taxes on the rich but it is about getting rid of corporate influence in politics.
  19. Yup, he would make little girls cry. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7KfXkQdS64
  20. Please, educate me as to why they are called poor people. The reason the wealth is so consolidated is because we live in a corporatist world, we give corporations special privileges.
  21. I'm all for companies borrowing money and investing that money. What I am not for is banks and corporations being pumped full of cash by central banks. It is trillions of dollars, it is done in secret by central banks and worst of all is they make that money out of thin air. That isn't fair to everyone else especially since all those extra dollars that enter into circulation devalue the rest of the dollars already in existence which is hurts the poorer people. The monetary system is designed for banks and big corporations. Edit: Subsizing oil has nothing to do with national security
  22. If there weren't such heavy taxes and regulations in countries like America and Canada then you would see less of the jobs going over seas. Also, you have to look at the fact that we constantly subsidize oil which leads to lower oil prices which makes a lot of that outsourcing viable. But the thing I keep emphasizing the most is fiat currencies. Fiat currencies allow these large corporations to have such easy access to large amounts of capitol which allows them to make all the investments which allows them to accumulate all the wealth.
  23. You have it backwards, what we have now is essentially corporate fascism. Right now the wealth is being sent upwards to the hands of the few.
  24. Exactly. All the bad debt would be gone, all the good assets of those companies had would of been bought up, the market would of self corrected but we won't let the market work. As for a free market, there hasn't been one since 1913, we should of been listening to what the free market people were saying then and we would of avoided this mess we are in today.
