  1. Personally, I would stay out of the market. I don't see any reason why people would invest in the market unless a lot more money is pumped into the economy which will temporarily bump stocks up again. Maybe if you are good at short term trading. I would rather stick with gold and silver if you are going mid-long term.
  2. They are continuing a failed policy, this should be important to all of us. But the reason silver and gold have been going up is because they have been pumping so many dollars into the the economy. This announcement just means they will flood the market with more dollars, gold and silver will rise because of this.
  3. Of course this is big news. The monetary policy of the world economy has been decided, this will have a huge amount of impact on our societies future. The safest bet isn't US treasuries, if you haven't noticed, gold and silver have been sky rocketing these past few years. They have been safest or the smartest bet. They are doing it because the world is full of Keynesian that believe this how economic growth occurs. They think inflating will solve the problem of inflation. We have been wrong for the past 3 years, what makes people believe that it will work this time? This doesn't solve any problems, encouraging people to go into more debt by lower interest payments will just create a bigger problem. The big problem is too much debt is the problem, encouraging more debt will just create a bigger problem later on.
  4. Cmon guys, this is important news, why is there no talk about this but something as stupid a mosque being by ground zero gets pages of discussion. We keep trying to prop up failed institutions, we've been doing this for three years...how long will it take for us to realize this isn't working and is creating larger problems.
  5. I probably don't fully understand them, I have never been in a war. At least I am not a chicken hawk. The green party still get coverage. We don't even vote for senators, they are appointed. I will still stand by my words, spreading democracy threw war is wrong...I still don't believe these wars are about democracy, I think they are about oil.
  6. A video of Noam Chomsky responding to what Ron Paul said in the debates. Chomsky starts speaking at 2:00, and if you are wondering, he agrees with Ron Paul.
  7. I think people don't understand what communism is. What China and Russia had really wasn't communism, it was more of a form of totalitarianism that used the word communism because communism was desired by the people.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHRYhL4ofNo I really don't think people understand the horrors of war. You can't force democracy on a nation with bombs and bullets, it won't work, the people have to want democracy. As for your democracy in the States, why is it the media only focuses on two parties, why is it that out of the hundreds of candidates that run for president the media only focuses on around 5 candidates that generally have the same views on major issues. I think you guys need to work on your democratic process before forcing it onto others. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Canada is much better, truth be told I wish we ditched the parliamentary system and become a constitutional republic, but one that actually follows the constitution.
  9. For the math, I agree with you on the entitlements. As for killing people over there, the likely hood of them attacking your country with another terrorist attack has increased as a result of these wars, these wars are undermining your national security.
  10. Yes, but people are being murdered.
  11. It is both. And if you had to prioritize, why would you choose war over entitlements.
  12. Not sure then. So, nobody has any problems with the banks being pumped full of cash at the expense of everyone else?
  13. Did you just copy and paste another post... *Sigh* Thousands of people are dead because of this. It is costing billions and billions of dollars, the US is going bankrupt, they can't afford these wars. The wars are payed for using debt, that debt leads to inflation which increases the cost of things like food and gasoline for the US citizens.
  14. That wasn't a civil war, that was one country invading another country for their resources.
  15. To quote a great movie franchise that was based on a republic that too was under attack..."don't underestimate the power of the force".
  16. [m edia] [/media]That is how you you should of typed it but without the space in media
  17. According to ABC it was $29,500 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SGe5rxRqaM As for Perry, many of his talking points he stole from Ron Paul.
  18. I don't think most people are terrorists. I know don't believe Islam is an evil religion, I think it is a peaceful religion. Muslims are simply people whom embrace the culture of Islam, I don't think they are bad people or terrorists. I think that a lot of the people who are attacking NATO forces over in the middle east are simply trying to defend their home land from the invading force. They are not terrorists. For WW2, I blame both sides, that was a failure of humanity. The way I see things now, the Allied forces are the Germany of this World War. We are the ones invading other countries and murdering people. It is kind of crazy too, the governments label these war as being humanitarian so if you these oppose wars you seem like a bad person. This is what I have been trying to say this whole topic, I posted this in the Ron Paul section but nobody replied. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99Xei97NQ8E Listen to what he is saying...what would you do?
  19. excellent Ron Paul video
  20. Yes, prop up the big banks with more cheap money, economic growth here we come.
  21. After 9/11 your country and a boat load of other countries including canada retaliated by going to war. You condone those action but when thousands of people in the middle east have been murdered by you guys and when they retaliate, you consider their actions to be evil. Is that a double standard. People keep saying but they killed innocent people here which is true but it is not like thousands of innocent people haven't been killed over there. And as for whether or not your government is lying or not, look at the campaign going on in order to go to war with Iran. Iran has been neutral longer then sweden, they haven't started a war in over a hundred years(I read one article that said they haven't started a war since the 1700's, don't know if that is true or not), they do not have a history of wanting to attack others yet many people in your government and in the media claim they are a threat. Clearly that isn't true, there are some very powerful people in your country that want war, they will lie to gain support...just like WMD's in iraq.
  22. Fine not all Muslisms. Either way, many here are saying that these wars should continue, that we should murder more people over there. How do you react to that if you are living there.
  23. I want to try and understand why they attacked America on 9/11. You keep saying things about Canada's foreign policy...that is irrelevant to the conversation. There are so many people on this forum that are saying we should go and kill the Muslims. How do you expect them to react to this. Hypothetically, Imagine a Muslim person in Iran or wherever was reading the messages on this forum. Reading so many comments from people saying that we should kill them all because they are evil, how would you expect that person to react?
