This is one of his proposals that actually makes sense. 500,000 immigrants per year is ridiculous for a country our size. We have already have upwards of 1,000,000 students and temporary workers, and nowhere to house them. There are good things and bad things about immigration and the math is full of trade-offs. Trudeau and his government live in a fantasy world where the problematic issues with excess immigration are not only not being planned for or mitigated, but ignored altogether as if they don't exist.

A recession is imminent. That was something all the economists were talking about even during COVID lockdowns. The huge government spending would lead to rising rates, which would stall the economy. Back then they predicted 2025. It's probably sooner. Canada's probably already in recession. The US probably isn't far behind. That's not a financial collapse, however, and I'm not sure how a Chinese bankruptcy is supporting your case about a new Chinese-led world order. It seems like our justice and political system are content with kicking this can decades down the road, as they have been for my whole lifetime.
