I sense that you are much more interested in attacking me for my views than you are interested in the topic of the US had it coming. For clarification once again, my name simply means that aggression deserves revenge and it doesn't mean that individuals deserved to die on 9/11. I have also made a comparison to the Dresden bombing where I don't think Germans deserved to die but they may have had it coming. I won't be the one to decide on that but I certainly feel confident saying that the 0/11 attacks were revenge for US foreign policies over more than a decade on the Arabian peninsula. A reasoned denial of that fact would perhaps be more appropriate now.

No, there were several problems which arose over attacking Kuwait to kill Iraqis and so the US needed some solid justification to do the job and to also convince Saudi that a US amassing of forces on their territory was warranted. The Saudis then felt threatened we are led to believe and allowed the US troop buildup in Saudi. Or at least that's what we are supposed to think. I think it is quite likely that the Saudi monarchy knew it was all US lies but needed the lies to sell it to the people. Of course the Saudi corrupt monarchy has always been in bed with US aggression and it's always been the people who expressed the real wishes of the country. This obviously became one of Osama's main motivations as his people were being treated very badly by the corrupt monarchy. And that is another stoy which could be talked about here. But we do know that the US did mercilessly murder retreating Iraqis waving white flags of surrender and then plowed the dead and dying bodies under the sand, creating the largest mass grave ever known on the face of the earth. Of course that was the endgame all along because Iraq's military might needed to be destroyed so it wouldn't and couldn't ever threaten the coming US occupation. Another subject which should be talked about is the April Glaspie green light to Iraq over their invasion of Kuwait. All these issues together help to put the piceces of the evil US puzzle together for us.

I would asume that you are not a moderator and so I don't think it's your place to interrupt this thread with your smarta-- comments. I covered the possibility completely of the moderators wanting this thread moved and will do so if it is their wish. I think your comment only illustrates your intent to interrupt and be abusive. The intent of this thread before it was derailed was to show that recycled water contained a lot of contaminants. That is more an American issue because recycling water is practicaly non-existent in Canada because we have lots of water. Why would we bother. This was about Americans having to drink their own recycled sewers which is becoming the practice now because it is a solution to a water shortage and certainly a better idea than going to war with another country to steal their water. Canada?

The forum moderators have expressed an intent to keep threads more on topic. But upons browsing the thread on this section I find that very few threads are specifically on topic. One example is the US had it coming thread where one poster led the discusison to an issue on Lebanon and other countries which was of course off topic. What to do now? My opinion is that when posting in the US politics section the only limiting of discussion could possibly be a limit to subjects which somehow relate to US politics and even US politics relating to the rest of the world. Practically no limitations at all except to perhaps keep discussions on totally different issues such as questions to moderators, intorductions, or perhaps some other issues out of this section. I'm not sure and so I'll ask the moderators to take part here on this thread and of course others who see this as being a problem which needs clarification. I think we all want to abide by the rules and be as proactive in doing that as we can possibly be. That means that we want to follow the rules 'before' we are reprimanded because of our straying away from the rules and so prevent further undue interruptions of the forum. Are the moderators open to ideas from members? Are the moderators interested in adding their input to this thread? I'm not even comfortable right now in even putting this thread in this section because it is not specifically US politics but I felt it needed to be here for the best exposure. If it needs to be moved then I trust the mods will move it or have me move it. Let's put our heads together and come up with some answers on this important issue. The title of this thread is 'U.S. had it coming' and you mention Lebanon and Argentina which are both off topic. I would like to respond to your falsehoods but that would be following you off topic. So what to do???? Start a new topic myself to respond to your nonsense? Ignore you? Neither seem appropriate and so I will start a thread specifically on 'Off topic posts', and how much latitude should be allowed. It has been brought to my attention that the moderators are interested in keeping threads more closely on topic and I think we need some clarification on what the exact intent is. Or if not the exact intent then some guidelines. I'll have some suggestions to make on the new thread.

I watched Spitzer on t.v. last night and saw his wife standing beside him and really started to feel a lot of pity for his wife more than I cared about just another US bum being exposed. Then I thought, hey, maybe his wife was in the thing with him and was part of three-ways with prostitutes? That would certainly make a difference and it's definitely not beyond the realms of possibility knowing what is currently happening in that country. Do they have any politicians who are not either doing it with prostitutes or doing it with preachers or playing wide stance games in public washrooms? And what if his wife had a problem herself and didn't fulfill her marital functions in a normal manner? Or what if US society has degenerated to the point where it's no big deal to go and buy prostitutes and even take them home for wifey to share. Not to say that was the case with Spitzere but is it really such a big deal for Americans to cheat on their wives with prostitutes? As with wide stance Larry, they take the high road and pounce on gays every opportunity they get but then are found to be performing filthy acts in public washrooms! What is the rest of the world to think??

This thread is about US lies to justify war. We should all be very familiar by now about the US lies of the WMD in Iraq and the lies about the yellow cake. Most would know about the incubators lie prior to the first war against Iraq where it was claimed that babies were thrown on the cold floor by Iraqi troops so Saddam could use the incubators for making biological weapons. But apparently there are people who don't know about the US fabrication satellite picture evidence that Iraq had amassed over 100,000 troops and thousands of tanks on the Saudi border with Kuwait in preparation for an invasion of Saudi. The lies were exposed in this case by Russian civilian satellite pictures which were procured by the St. Petersburg Times which showed conclusively that there was no military buildup and hence no threat of an invasion of Saudi territory. Thanks for your answer but after doing a fair amount of studying the situation I really do fear that Israel has absolutely no intention of ever giving up any amount of it's gains as according to UN resolutions. Mainly because even as the promise of Sharon and Olmert were being made the expansion of settlements on land which was declared to be Palestinian land never ceased. Did it ever even slow down other than the worthless smokescreen offers of abandoing settlements which were mostly unoccupied anyway? Have you read Jimmy Carter's book? I'm beginning to wonder why it is that the Dems go down for hetero crimes and the Repubs all go down for gay crimes.
