  1. Yes you're right but I only follow the conversation and it's supposed to be kept on topic by the mods. People slip up once in a while when answering so many of you people who want answers. I'll try to keep it on topic.
  2. I didn't say you broke any law, only that you are talking nonsense which is clearly against Canada's policy in Afghanistan. It's public and everyone knows it lad. Canada does not hand over prisoneers to others who will toruture those prisoners. YOU tell us that you applaud the practice and you are also in a postion of authority. If anyone decides to shut you up because you are getting to be an embarrassment to our armed forces then they will ask the admins on this forum to identify you. That will cause them a lot of unnecessary trouble. Now just stop that kind of behaviour please. I'm a Canadian too and I don't want you telling these Americans that Canada hands over prisoners to be tortured.
  3. So then stop the personal attacks and insults and show us that you can go toe to toe with the big kids. I don't have time for whiners who only want to insult others. I'm getting more business than I need already so maybe think about it and then take a number.
  4. Well Melanie, it's reported that the US plowed thousands of dead and dying Iraqis under the sand on that ocassion and I don't know of any other mass grave that large with so many bodies. All the mass graves the US tries to invent turn out to be non-existent. how's about you give me an instance of a bigger one with more bodies? Show us you can go toe to toe with the big kids on the block Melanie.
  5. I'm not calling you a denial monkey Dog.... but I am calling the rest of the rabble that. That's how they want to play the game here. If you are a respectable person who doesn't want to engage in the personal attacks then I welcome you to my thread. I'm not sure though what kind of reference you want me to find though. I think it's rather ridiculous to go looking for it when in fact it may not be on the internet now as it was around 18 years ago. I think it would be more to the point to send off an email to the St. Petersburg Times and ask them for the details you seek. But really Dog......, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time but I think you are more interested in denying and covering up the facts than you are in knowing the facts. Jus my gut feeling on that ya know. So tell me more on your impression of this story. Do you think it was all fabricated? By answering that question I will learn a lot more about you in a hurry and save a lot of small talk.
  6. Yes guyser, what he said was that he didn't care what happened to captives when the Canadians handed them over to others and he aslo said he was in a position to command others. This is very troubling to hear as Canada's position is very clear on not handing prisoners over to others who would torture them. Do you think he knows something about what's going on in Afghanistan that we don't know. If he wants to pursue the issue further I'm going to ask him. This could be the breakthrough we have been looking for to expose torture by Canadian forces!
  7. Melanie darling, you haven't read what I said was non-negotiable obviously. If you had you wouldn't make such silly comments. Your groundless personal attacks against me for my opinion isn't going to get you anywhere Melanie so you should stop it before you get angry. Isn't that the timer on your stove going off that I hear?

  10. Maybe his wife likes three-ways. Who knows what happens in the land of the gun.
  11. Of course Iraqi production is still below previous levels and the plan is to exceed previous levels by millions of barrels a day. You're completely out of touch with reality. Of course the US doesnt' export enough to influence the price but they are now involved in influencing the price by increasing Iraqi production and by pouring billions into Canada's tarsands production. Again you are totally out of touch with reality. The US manipulated prices prior to the first war agaisnt Iraq down to $14/barrel in order to put economic strains on Iraq in an effort to convince Iraq to invade Kuwait. As well as aiding Kuwait with it's slant drilling into Iraqi oil fields. And along with causing the Kuwait monarchy to oppose it's Iraqi 'brothers' who had protected them during the Iran/Iraq war. Along with persuading Kuwait to increase it's production. Again you are out of touch with reality and so poorly informed on the issues that it's hardly worth talking to you anymore. I wouldn't but most of the other US apologists are hiding and trembling in fear of getting more lickings for lying.
  12. Oh yes he did and not only that he said that he didn't care what happens to prisoners after they are handed over. Clearly the lad is not incapable of not putting his foot in his mouth because it is expressly against Canada's policy to hand prisoners over to those who torture them. And he has already said that he is in a position of authority over some men. If the lad is telling the truth then he has someting else to apologize for now, or at least try to explain away. I think he would be much better off to just clam up before he gets reported and the military finds out who he really is. They can do that on a forum you know and it would be a lot of trouble for the admins on this forum. Not that I'm threatening to do that but if he doens't clam up somebody might. At this point in time I don't even think he's for real!
  13. As it is my intent to let this topic stray to Iraq oil I will comment on that link. It's right on the money of course. The US will continue to pour bilions into Iraq's oil resources but it will also attempt to get the last drop from domestic supplies as well as find new domestic oil. Bring the price down by increasing supply is exactly what I have said. I'm pleased that you are now starting to understand what your war is all about! And now the logical place to go is to deal with the US lies and the plain fact that the US had it coming.
  14. If telling the truth is insulting to Americans then that's just too damn bad. As Canadians we need to take the high road and expose the truth. This is what political forums are all about and if you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. That is my final position on your issue and is not negotiable. What is negotiable in my opinion is a clarification of how much straying from the topic is going to be allowed. Why not at least forget your silly pride for a minute and see if you are capable of addressing that?
  15. Yes, I think you're right because it's easy to overlook the human toll for Americans as opposed to wearing a sweater in their livingrooms and turning the thermostat down to 65. And that also begs the question of whether it is worth it or not. My morality will never allow me to say that killing people for economic reasons is justified but I don't speak for everyone. If a majority of them think it's justified then so be it. It's just that they aren't honest enough to just say it.
  16. Good opener for a discussion on the religion section! It reallly is that bad isn't it. Maybe that's why they are all upset about us talking about their drinking (sewers) water.
  17. Yep, you applaueded and expressed your support of waterboarding people you refer to as scumbags. Then you said you were in a position of authority and that became quite troublesome for me as a Canadian. And then you said that you had stepped out of line on the issue. Now you're just interested in damage contol and trying to pretend that you didn't make the mistake you admitted to in the first place. I sincerely hope that you are not representative of a person of authority in the Canadian military but I fear you are. Hillier himself gave cause for us all to start worrying when her referred to people of Afghanistan as scumbags. It was quite unbecoming of Canada's top General and shouldn't have been used to show he's a tough guy. He is no tough guy and reminds me of one of Gary Larsoe's dumb cartoon nerds.
  18. Haha, good one! It's a great country all right but the way they need to preserve that greatness is what's worrying the rest of the world. Off of the lives of their victims specifically.
  19. You've got it. I think? But you need to understand too that the entire war was cooked up by the US to destroy Iraq and that was because Saddam was promising not to be cooperative with his oil resources. The US must continue to manipulate the price of oil by being completely involved in the business of the oil rich countreis. In that way the cost of the oil is returned to the US in labour to develop, to ship it, to have US companies pumping it, and other involvement. And of course to have control over the supply versus the demand in order to keep prices in a range at which the US can afford to buy it. At the present with the Iraq war going poorly and the oil not fully flowing, along with lack of enogh US control, the Us is being bankrupted by the high prices. It's an exact repeat of US control over Saudi oil and also has similarities which should be recognized with Canada's oil resources. Just consider what it costs the US each day to keep the cars running and the fires burning! This is what all the lies are about and this particular one is a good example.
  20. monty burns wrote: this comment only shows your desperation of not being able to rebut my points in an adult manner. I annoy you because I bring you the truth and if you can't stand to hear the truth then perhaps you don't want to be here. I have never suggested that the US is the greatest demon in the universe but I think I would be totally justified in saying that the US is by far the greatest threat to peace in the world today. But again, this is about waterboarding and so I merely point out your hypocrisy in needing to execute Japanese prisoners of war and then continue to suppor the practice when it's done by Americans. What possible explanation could you have for that which would make you look like a decent global citizen? None of course because the US is not.
  21. Read all about it: http://robinrowland.com/garret/2005/11/wat...-war-crime.html It looks like there's even a book written on the subject. In my opinion it would be better for you to either support the tactic or oppose it as being torture. Denying it happened just leaves you Americans with egg on your faces. I don't feel anly need to entertain that kind of behaviour any further.
  22. True in one sense but not true as to the intent of this thread. When water is recycled through the clouds from the ocean the impurities don't remain unless it is through air pollution. We were talking about Americans needing to drink recycled sewers as opposed to Canadians getting their water from pure sources. It's quite obvious isn't it, when you don't have enough water you need to recycle what you flush down the toilet. Apparently it becomes not bad water but I wouldn't want to drink it myself just because I would be reminded of the toilet.
  23. On the waterboarding issue I have provided information that the US put to death Japanese captives for waterboarding Americans. That left you people pretty well flatfooted on the issue and that's where you needed to start with the personal attacks and other off topic ciriticisms. It's not my problem if you can't read long sentences. I think the Us hypocrisy has been amply exposed now.
  24. A good book to cover the subject of US lies for war and other issues about the first US war in Iraq is Ramsay Clarke's, The Fire This Time. Very easy reading for those who don't like the deep stuff and full of pictures of the horrors of the results of US use of WMD's on people.
  25. I am certainly as guilty as anyone for going off topic but it has been mentioned to me by a moderator that it is their desire to keep threads more on topic. That is why I started this thread because it's a little confusing to know what is considered outside the rules in that regard. Do you have any ideas? Lacking more clarification from the moderators I think that the wishes of the members would be valuable at this time.
