The Conservatives are financially prudent?
Alta4ever replied to punked's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
NOPE, but I do see the sheep following the red party. If Harper had lived in the us as long as Iggy I know exactly what would be said. I have my problems with the conservatives and some of their policy that has come out over the last couple of years. It may not be perfect but it is better then what is offered by any other party in Canada. -

Tory aide tried to scuttle Hanukah event, school says
Alta4ever replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Their are original texts, they are scrolls and the church of the day decided on which would be included and which wouldn't. That is why their was such contraversy over the dead sea scrolls. -
The important ones the directly effect me, yes I would sit down read them and digest them. Everyone in the country should read the budget so they know what the government is doing, instead of relying on unrealiable media to to give them tid bits about what they do or do not agree with or what is in line with their current pet causes. Most bills are not that hard to read or understand. The one on senate reform was a wopping 2 paragraphs but then again liberals as demonstrated by the liberal dominated senate have trouble reading and digesting such bills, they never did approve it after many many months of sitting in that house.

you must not be reading any

If the shareholders would actually revolt and kick these money grubbing excutives out and hire someone to deal with the unions, restructure , rebuild and listen to the market, none of these companies would be in this mess.

Their is a reason why these people are lobbing so hard for a bailout, and it isn't for the individual worker.
-
Doesn't anyone find it funny that its inly the big 3 in North America that need this bailout? What is it about their business model that is so ineffeicent? Doesn't anyone think that maybe chapter 11 would be good, it would cause them to change everything and start over.

BoC warns of possible mass home foreclosures
Alta4ever replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There are too many idoits out their that think the amount that the bank will lend them is always within thier budget. They all fail to realize that onus of budgeting and knowing what can be afforded is up to the customer not the bank. -

Alta4ever replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
From what I understand the money was gone long ago during the days of Chretien, it was a matter of legers showing that their should be this amount sitting idle in the countries general revenues. -

Really how could that be when the EI account was just created. Before EI went into general revenue. -

Quit making excuses, no matter what the offer is waste is waste, and conusmers who buy into a good deal, for only that reason deserve what they get. Have a little self control and will power. -

Manning, Grey to receive Order of Canada
Alta4ever replied to kimmy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The competing egos between them put a damper on any kind of come back the party may have made. They also were a big part of rejecting anykind of merger or agreement with the alliance, until Peter Mckay and the breakaway alliance.
