So it should be banned. In a free society of equals we should be able to look into the face of our equal citizens.Male or female. No one should be allowed to wear a mask unless they are physically deformed. Bank robbers are not allowed to wear a mask. I wonder why? I love the joy I get from passers by who smile in recognition of me as a fellow human being. This is not a mandated Koranic Islamic religious symbol. It is most certainly a male subjugation and ownership of his female family members in the Islamic world though. Without being able to be blessed by a persons countenance does foster mistrust and suspicion. Is that masked person smiling at me for openng a door or are they frowning at my western manners,laughing,insulted or grateful? We communicate with facial expressions and our countenance gives us our individual uniquness. Canada should be a start for Islamic female liberation.No more hiding females faces from the sun . No more arranged marriages. I say freedom from this course tradition of female ownership by male dominance. Where are the left wing feminists liberators of the sixties and seventies ? Why are they so quiet of this symbol of male ownership? Then there is the safety issue if one drives with a full mask. Of course in much of the Arab world women are not allowed to drive. Is that a safety factor? Just a few thoughts.

I love it! I remember well my first day in basic. Got a hair cut,a bunk then piles of kit. Had a couple of minutes so I thought and started to write home to Mom as promised. Some guy walks by and asks if I am writing home. Yah says I. What he says?,Are you deaf Bud say I!! I then got introduced to Corporal M. You get on your feet and put your heels together when you talk to me you bloody diseased civilian! All the basic drill NCO`s had the greatest lines to berate you with and make you laugh. Of course you laughed and you got into more crap. we started out with about 40 guys and ended up with about thirty when we passed out of basic. You sure were a proud Soldier on that day. Unlike in the film clip they were never allowed to touch you harmfully except in self defence. To offer harm to one of those guys was a really big mistake. Enjoyed myself once I got into the game of basic training. Learned how to take care of myself. great life lesson. I enjoyed the clip. Only thing they were not allowed to call you was a bastard or a SOB. This was forbidden out of respect for Mothers.

They speak out of ignorance of history. They have no idea why they have the right to speak.A trip to Hong Kong,South Korea, France ,Belgium and Holland amongst other places to see the Canadian Military cemetaries just might be an education.

lets get a couple of things straight. All professors are not smart. Not all kids should go on to University nor are some deserving. I was a lousey scholar and did not finish grade school. I was not deserving. I still managed to be a relative success in life. Some would give all the credit to the Gal I married. I have been asked to speak in high schools and not only do I find students ignorant of Canadian history the teachers are darn right obtuse.

Ah man! Now I have to dig out a dictionary! How about useing $200.00 words instead of $5.00.I can`t even make change for a fiver. Yes these other countries do speak their mother tongues. But not by force as could have happened if the western world militarily had not stood up to the dictators.

If this is true,thats pretty scarey. Were the NAZI` s not into that book burning thing ! I think Stalin and his happy gang of Commies banned books too. Who were these protesters then? Although I am all for scholerships for the children of Canadian soldiers killed in combat or on any risky mission , I am not so sure sending their youngsters into harms way by way of these Professors who bastardize history is such a good idea. None of these professors ever served and have no knowledge of how they recieved the right to blather such nonsence.Imperialism indeed! If not for the military these guys could be teaching in Russian , German or Japanese. But this is Trudeaus legacy in our so called schools of higher learning. A guy who would not serve with his peers.

They did just that through intimidation .Who won? Coulter did. She got more publicity than she could have bought. Houle and the University of Ottawa look really bad in the eyes of academia in the western world. Coulter won the day. End of story. Move on folkd theres nothing more to see here.

Free speech,your right it is not absolute. We all know you can not yell FIRE in a theatre. Is setting off FIRE alarms in a crowded theatre be exempt? The left hurt themselves in Ottawa yesterday . Their thugish behaviour will bring upon themselves scorn from left ,Right and center.

Well before tonight I had an open mind about this Coulter Gal. But I must say the left have disgraced themselves by their actions in shutting down the speaking engagement at the U of A. The Reform Party did advocate for a pension plan ,but it was to be bronze for MP`s,not gold. It became obvious that if they did not join in they would go without/ If memorey serves me correctly .Preton Manning and Werner Schmidt left politics without pensions.Those that were going on to longer careers had to capitulate or watch those who advocated for the Gold prosper and they go without altogether.

I believe MP`s do pay half the contributions to their pension while sitting. But where else in Canada can you recieve a gold plated pension after only 6 years? the reform Party did try their best to fight the Gold plated pension.

Ezra levant was subjected to the harsh and unfair human rights tribunals, but was able to defend himself. You or I would have to capitulate or go broke defending ourselves. so it would be interesting to see the shoe on the other foot. But I suspect the University would be able to use tax dollars for defence. You and I would not.

To compare the so called plight of Quebec,(if that is what Duceppe said) is ridiculous and is an insult not only to French citizens who fought so bravely to free themselves from the yoke of tyranny, it also is an insult to Canadians. Canadians French , Jewish,Poles, natives , English etc who fought and died to free France and drive NAZI`s from their soverign country. Don`t you think you should? Or is it only right wing speakers who should get warnings about free speech. You know a lot of people fought for freedom of speech and were killed ,wounded or maimed for life. You owe them to preserve that value.

So how many foreign speakers invited to Canada get letters warning of the restrictions on free speech from Vice President of a University? I have never heard of such a thing!
