  1. No, he's not saying that he "believes" it is, rather he's stated outright that it has been altered.
  2. I'm trying to figure how why you feel yourself justified in critcizing Dion for supposed inability to understand the question that had been posed to him, when you yourself are completely incapable of noticing that you were asked an illogical question. The question asked was: if you were made Prime Minister right now, what would you have done 6 months ago? You do not see the problem with that question? If you were made Prime Minister "right now" you could not have been Prime Minister 6 months ago. Are you telling me that if you were asked such a question on camera, you would simply answer the question despite the fact that it was illogical, or would ask for clarification? And repeatedly ask for clarification until the question was properly and logically posed?
  3. Since when are you so concerned about how the Greens conduct their affairs? I thought that the Greens were just a "fringe party" not meant to be taken seriously, now you're concerned that May is compromising its "advancement". LOL
  4. So would you drive a car manufactured by someone being paid $8.75/h? Corporations fail because they produce products for which there is insufficient demand. If they produced better products, then they wouldn't be in toruble. This has nothing to do with taxes or wages. Well, except maybe those overinflated executive salaries.
  5. We simply need a PR system.
  6. Answer this question:

"You are made Prime Minister right now, what would you have done 6 months ago?"

  7. LOL. She's a traitor, now?
  8. Funnily enough, as we speak our economy is taking a nose dive and it has nothing to do with taxes and everything to do with corporate greed... Our economy is a little stronger at the moment because of oil, but if you haven't noticed the price of oil is declining rapidly and with the imploding American economy, where about 75% of our exports go, is resulting in decreased consumer demand already and corporations closing up shop in Canada.
  9. I just love how Harper tried to spin this one yesterday... Biggest bald faced lie yet!
  10. I'm wondering whether it may actually be a Liberal minority. When you got 35% support and most of it is concentrated in three prairie provinces, forming a government is not a sure thing. The Cons are goners in the Maritimes and Quebec. It really depends on what happens in Ontario. He may lose St. Catharines and Haldimand-Norfolk, and Tony Clement may get the boot, too. I can't think of anywhere where he might gain in Ontario.
  11. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if you on consider the Cons to be legitimate, so who really cares what you think. In a democracy, any party that receives votes and has a political message is legitmate.
  12. Too bad brain transplants aren't possible, you might need one of those...
  13. You made the claim of 90%, the onus is on you.
  14. Oh, so we should not have corporations paying taxes and paying people non-liveable wages so that they'll stay in Canada? How exactly do corporations make money if they don't pay people enough to afford the products they buy? Don't want corporations "driven" out of Canada? Would you agree then that we should get out of NAFTA asap, then?
  15. Yeah, it's funny how pre-teen kids and family pets suddenly have become so supportive of the CPC. So they changed the laws to eliminate a political rival rather for democratic reform purpoese. Go figure... Funnily enough, though, the Conservatives have there own little scandal in this regard, have they not? Coming from you I find this most ironic...
  16. The fact that they don't pay their fair share of taxes, that they underpay workers, that they constantly unemploy people and move to Mexico or China, etc. etc. etc.
  17. What if your heart says: "vote strategically"?
  18. Duh! Really? Well, they might get one or two, but whatever the case, I think the reason for this has already been discussed elsewhere... A party with 8% regional support can get about 40 seats, a party with 8% national support cannot... Something's not right here. It's sad that certain tactics have to be resorted to in order to make our system truly democratic...
  19. But I could live with a Liberal or NDP PM because I know that even though they have differing perspectives, they still have the best interest of Canadians in mind. Harper is only concerned about corporations.
  20. So when several hundred economists suggest that we need a "green shift" that's not based on expert opinion, knowledge in your opinion? The fact of the matter is that the Conservatives have offered nothing of real substance, didn't even plan on releasing a platform until it because an issue. And they don't even know how much the Afghan mission is costing, so why should we trust them with the economy? Remember, they've mismanaged it to a near deficit.
  21. And income trust, accountable and transparent government, etc...
  22. Argus: you seem to spend much time preaching to the choir with your long, useless posts.
  23. When has she advocated ABC? Do you mean when she encourages people to get out and vote? That includes the Conservatives, actually, because the Greens believe in the democratic system and the involvement of citizens in the democratic process.
  24. It's funny how the media is so intent on having Harper as PM while 65% of the electorate does not. Hmmm... I wonder why that is?
  25. How is the Green Party a "fringe" party when they're polling higher than the Bloc most of the time?
