I can see what you are saying but I can also assure you that Scientists do in fact have beliefs, just as much as anyone else. As for the next post with its Wiki reference. It states "commonly", if you were to read some scientific periodicals that deal with the subject you would see that "commonly" is hardly on the cutting edge of scientific research. Just as the theories of dark matter, strong force weak force et al are hardly in the common public discourse.

Actually they strongly believe now that multiple universes exist. Would that mean that our universe contains all the other universes since it includes everything?

100% correct. I worked at Honda Alliston for a few years before moving out west. I hated the job but I have to give Honda top marks for treating their workers in an excellent fashion. By the way, which truck plant and where is it located? If its the Alliston plant then its no big deal. They also make the mini van and the civic in Alliston. Considering that they're just finishing up the new engine plant in Alliston that will more than make up for the loss of the truck division.

Thank you, nice to see a person who can see both sides of the coin. As for how much we should spend, well, at least as much as sponsorship scandals, golf balls, gun registries and mysteriously missing billions.

Muslim Immigration and Integration
AngusThermopyle replied to eyeball's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That was a rather interesting post Kuzadd, and it did contain some truth. However you entirely failed to address the point which was raised. Is it your contention that there are no problems related to Muslims in Europe? That in fact all the incidents of rape, murder, rioting are nothing more than fantasies generated by an "old" way of thinking? Or, will you admit that there is a very distinct and prevalent problem that can be placed squarely at the feet of one particular group of people? -
The waterboarding poll
AngusThermopyle replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
He wont. He's already been asked to substantiate his claim about none sense in Afghanistan and when he realized that he was full of sh*t he just brushed it off. -
Actually we're all waiting for the "facts" you speak of. So far all we've seen is unsubstantiated claims about a satellite that apparently doesn't exist. When asked for solid links (not mere opinion) the silence is deafening. Just because one hates the US does not cause immaterial objects to become material and gain legitimacy from nothing. Either that or the Russians have come up with astounding stealth technology. That satellite is so stealthy that its existence never even occurred, apparently.

Okay, I'll vote for Hillary then. I'm not sure how well a Canadian voting for Hillary will go over but I'll give it a shot. -
Nope, its just you.

Incredible...just...simply...incredible. Its always so nice to meet someone as humble as yourself, "maybe we'll talk about your subject". You should give it up. BC and I don't agree on much at all but I will say that you're seriously outclassed if you want to tangle with him. -
How to deal with off-topic posts in general
AngusThermopyle replied to UShaditComing's topic in Support and Questions
Telling the truth is not insulting, you are. Since you arrived all you've done is toss insults and snide remarks around. That is the primary reason that I ignore 90% of what you have to say. The ten percent that I do read is the stuff where you twist and manipulate discussions to support your hatred of America. Your condescending manner doesn't help at all either, oh yes, and your boundless egotism. The above would be a prime example of what I'm talking about. As for what you think is or is not negotiable, well what makes you think any one here gives a flying f*ck what you think is negotiable? That would be indicative of the egotism thing you have going. I could go on but I hate wasting my time. Now be nice and apologize to Army Guy for all the insults you've tossed at him recently. After all, you should respect your betters. -
Like to back this one up? Jane wouldn't wholly agree with you. She has observed signs of co-operative behaviour amongst Apes, on the other hand she has also observed as many or more signs of non co-operative behaviour amongst them.

Woman in Hiding since Driving over Moroccan Thief in
AngusThermopyle replied to Regulus de Leo's topic in Religion & Politics
This whole debate has boiled down to nit picking. If the paper reports that the Police told her to go into hiding then we must assume the information came from the Police. The alternative is to have concerned officers making public appearances stating what they have said to the newspapers. That being the case we would want the same from the Palestinians, the Israelis, the Americans and on and on. What is known beyond any shadow of a doubt is that a very serious problem exists in Europe. This can not be denied after so many examples and instances have been made known. Its not just Van Gogh, its the riots, the lawlessness, the rapes. These are facts, not fiction. Write a book they don't like, go hide for the rest of your life. To refuse acknowledgment of these things is to be willfully blind and ignorant, an Ostrich. -
Hmmm...wonder how that worked out for him.

Marc Emery Extradition
AngusThermopyle replied to DrGreenthumb's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
What! I say what! Are you seriously suggesting that the government legislate dizziness? Does this make you a supporter of smaller less intrusive government? Gotta say that your statement quite simply astounds me. Just how would you propose they do this? Perhaps come out with a portable "Dizzilyzer" machine they could keep next to the Breathalyzer. -
Me too. He was funny.

Why we don't fight in Darfur.
AngusThermopyle replied to eyeball's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I'd say somewhere around the end of the month....hmmmm....March 31st. I'll miss him though, just like chauchee. Its always fun to read the ignorant rants of the uninformed and egotistical. A never ending source of amusement. -
The waterboarding poll
AngusThermopyle replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I hate to burst your bubble but you should know that torture is nothing new. Other nations have been doing far worse for time immemorial. The way you talk makes it sound as though these "freedom fighters" have only just started using torture because the Americans did some water boarding. Wrong, these guys are the masters of pain through extreme trauma. Is it because you truly don't know anything about the subject? Or is it that your loathing for the States is so profound you would excuse any others of anything whilst pillorying the States for something relatively innocuous by comparison? Here's a news flash for you. Whenever I was deployed it was with the full understanding and expectation that my captors would torture me should I be taken prisoner. This had absolutely nothing to do with water boarding and 100% to do with my understanding of these people and their ways. Before you yack about "ensuring" anything you should do a little work and find out what is accepted as a part of life in other parts of the world.
