  1. Happy turkey day everyone. I don't like turkey so I'm having atlantic salmon baked in maple syrup with scalloped potatoes.
  2. When future references are made to TransCanada cancelling energy east, it will be recalled that this disastrous decision was made while Justin Trudeau and his Liberals were in government. They will not be left unscathed.
  3. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/abortion-clinic-safe-zones-ontario-liberal-pc-1.4341113 In addition to getting caught engaging in wedge politics, the Ontario Liberals look positively amateurish for claiming they need to consult interest groups after tabling draft legislation.
  4. Today the PCs tried to turn the tables on the Liberals. They said they agreed with buffer zones around abortion clinics and the homes of related workers. The PCs agreed that legislation be passed today. Wouldn't you know the Liberals put on the brakes and said "not so fast". Of course, this move by the Liberals is to ensure abortion continues to be discussed in order to paint the PCs as anti-abortionists. How transparent of the Liberals to play this card hoping to increase its popularity.
  5. Yeah, strange indeed. No worries for 19 year old Ontarians straddling the Quebec border. Just hop over and buy your weed at a Quebec weed outlet. A major concern is that federal excise tax on pot will be set so high that it will be cheaper to continue buying it from a local drug dealer. IE, federal tax to be set at $1.00 per gram to a maximum of $10.00 (10 grams) then it increases. Is this marijuana legislation really to protect our youth from predatory street drug vendors or a convenient tax grab? I'm stilling mulling that over.
  6. https://globalnews.ca/news/3783935/abdulahi-sharif-accused-in-edmonton-attacks-ordered-deported-to-somalia-in-2011-u-s-officials/ How is it even possible for this guy to get into Canada after being ordered deported by the US? Some public security system we have here.
  7. As much as Mr. Singh likes to think (and says) that Quebec is a progressive province, IMO his wearing of religious symbols will not go over well in La Belle Province. It took Quebecers a very long time to get out from under the thumb of the Catholic Church and religion is not an element they want to contend with in their modern politics.
  8. Maybe he's asleep at the bar...maybe he's signing a lullaby. Do you really need to see his eyes? Me, I don't want to see any pictures of him...none...ever.
  9. It's only the beginning. John Manley weighs in. http://www.bnn.ca/big-fish-moving-money-out-of-canada-because-of-tax-proposals-manley-1.863592 This current Liberal government is pitting Canadians against each other. No good can come of this.
  10. Right you are. Actually I listened to a podcast of an interview given by Fife to Evan Solomon on CFRA. Fife relayed his findings to Solomon and he indicated more was coming. The info in the interview is contained in that Globe item.
  11. According to Trudeau, he is not involved in the management of his "family fortune". The question is, would the financial gurus handling his fortune advise him if that was the case? Robert Fife et al have already uncovered the details of some Trudeau holdings and investments as per the OP's link. They are actively digging for more details.
  12. He stepped in deep doodoo when he said he was not involved in the management of the "family fortune". (He must have bit his tongue hard after he used those terms.) Being the beneficiary to a family fortune places him in the very best position to close legal venues for the wealthy as they attempt to lower their tax rate, since his financial advisers use those very same advantages to lower his own taxes payable.
  13. Drug dealer caught smuggling 8 Kinder Surprise eggs in his rectum into an Ottawa jail. The eggs were filled with a total of 59 grams of marijuana, a gram of MDMA, tobacco, rolling papers and matches.

Ewwww! Who would want to eat those! Perhaps Kinder should start advertising their eggs as a surprise in every rectum.

  14. Whatever turns your crank.
  15. How observant of you dialamah. As a matter of fact, my views about Islam and Muslims do align pretty well with those of PIK's. In fact, those views align pretty much with those declared by some other posters here. Therefore I don't feel the need to repeat what has already been expressed in this regard.
  16. You were mocking PIK and I called you out on it. What's weird is you did not defend your words to PIK so I take it I was right. You may now continue with your vociferous defence of Muslims and Islam.
  17. What? You think on a discussion forum some of us should shut up?
  18. As I began reading your reply to PIK, I thought your question was genuine and well intended. Then as I read the rest of your post, I realized you were actually mocking PIK. Par for the course.
  19. It's not a sticker, it's a permit. See here: https://www.ontario.ca/page/get-accessible-parking-permit
  20. Isn't it nice that said BIG BLUE can log in, in spite of being suspended. That allows BIG BlUE to navigate the forum and prepare contributions for whence the suspension is lifted and he/she can add comments or start threads. Maybe I'm wrong, we'll see.
  21. Earlier today, I spent close to $100.00 in a beauty salon. I love the West and our capitalist system. Capitalism, where equality of opportunity flourishes.

  22. Cuban President Raul Castro:

" Let’s face this task of recovery with the example of the Cuban Revolution’s Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro’s, he who taught us with his unwavering faith in victory and his firm will that impossibilities don’t exist. At this difficult time, his legacy makes us stronger and we stand united."

Uh, Fidel's dead and can't help (or hinder) Cubans in their difficult time.

  23. The intent of those inflammatory posts is to generate discord. I would not be surprised if that poster has previous accounts here.
  24. As much as I think that siblings or relatives having a sexual relationship is unsavory, to each his own, let them go at it. My only concern is when such sexual activity results in an offspring. One aunt of mine married her first cousin. They had four children. One was born with a hole in his heart where he lived a life dependent on medical care and all four had a variety of mental health problems. They lived a very difficult life, one committed suicide; I'm not attributing the suicide to genetics but it makes you wonder. This does not appear to be a widespread problem so let's leave it alone. We have bigger fish to fry.
