http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article18644.htm Fifteen months ago, the armed wing of Lebanon’s Hezbollah party, listed as a terrorist organization by the United States and most other Western countries, attacked Israel’s northern border, capturing two Israeli soldiers and killing eight more. Israel replied with a month of massive air attacks all across Lebanon that destroyed much of the country’s infrastructure, leveled a good deal of south Beirut, and killed around a thousand Lebanese civilians. >>>>>> I see it is that old double standard, as Dyer notes also but hey what the heck else is new, but wait, it get's even more twisted! Now what was it GWB said about Oooops!

first off the UN has been around longer then ww2, different name, so the myth is a nice story. Secondly, given that the UN has largely been a lackey of the US until China and Russia, started actually acting in their own interest, the UN has been just hunky dory. Thirdly the UN has always done the bidding of world leaders, under the guise of "peacekeeping" and more. Anyway........the UN serves it's purpose, always has.

The US hasn't tried to asassinate any foreign leaders????? Oh boy!
-
Yup!!! actually Putin was postulating that. The "missile shields" being equal to the Cuban missile crisis, and that made the US so pleased. But hey Putin is "bad" for being against that?

can't believe this is still ongoing.......but not surprised either. . I looked at the pic of the woman , her face was not covered at all The truth is this would not have even been posted here, had the bus driver been wearing a toque and scarf on a chilly morning. NO one would have posted it. But any opportunity to scapegoat Muslims, must be taken.

Yah and lawyers are on that list, like Francis Anthony Boyle, an American citizen. His name ain't mohammed. hey Betsy http://www.myfoxkc.com/myfox/pages/Home/De...mp;pageId=1.1.1 KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- An 8-year-old Kansas boy is causing a national security stir after his name popped up on a no fly list and airlines banned him from flying in fear he might be a terrorist. Bryan Moore's mother said she couldn't believe what she was hearing when her son couldn't fly home from a trip to see his sister, because his name appeared on a terrorist no-fly list. Bryan Moore Brian Moore Bryan Moor Brian Moor how many people named that are on the list, oh 8 yr old little boys!!! are you scared?! http://www.komotv.com/news/archive/4153866.html DES MOINES - Cecilia Beaman is a 57-year-old grandmother, a principal at Pacific Middle School in Des Moines, and as of Sunday is also a suspected terrorist. "This is not right," she told us. It's not right!" This past weekend she and several other chaperones took 37 middle school students to a Heritage Festival band competition in California. The trip included two days at Disneyland. During the stay she made sandwiches for the kids and was careful to pack the knives she used to prepare those sandwiches in her checked luggage. She says she even alerted security screeners that the knives were in her checked bags and they told her that was OK. But Beaman says she couldn't find a third knife. It was a 5 1/2 inch bread knife with a rounded tip and a serrated edge. She thought she might have lost or misplaced it during the trip. On the trip home, screeners with the Transportation Security Administration at Los Angeles International Airport found it deep in the outside pocket of a carry-on cooler. Beaman apologized and told them it was a mistake. "You've committed a felony," Beaman says a security screener announced. "And you're considered a terrorist." WOW, she's a terrorist!! soon we all will be.

some folks need those "word games" to fool themselves. Some need them to fool others Some need them to make themselves feel better or justify makes no difference, you say to-may-to, I say to-mah-to it's all war, killing , maiming, brutalizing, raping. perhaps it should be called "living hell" to better and accurately reflect the reality? BC, I would prefer the direct lexicon also, that way there are no illusions, or delusions

considering one name on the list = more then one person. The list actually affects substantially more people then named. For example if the name Bob Smith was on the list. How many people named Bob Smith are therefore on the list? 100, or 1000 Bob Smith Bobby Smith Robert Smith could all be interpreted as Bob Smith. therefore the list could already affect millions of people. SCREENING FOR TERRORISM The number of terror watch-list records [1] more than quadrupled over roughly a three-year period: June 2004 158,374 May 2005 287,982 June 2006 515,906 May 2007 754,960 [1]: One record reflects one name but not necessarily one person.

lol! peace activists? protestors? ladies wearing too tight t's? breast feeding mothers? non-bush supporters? people of different opinions? How big will this list get, will everyone soon be on it?? http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-1...POE=click-refer WASHINGTON — The government's terrorist watch list has swelled to more than 755,000 names, according to a new government report that has raised worries about the list's effectiveness. The size of the list, typically used to check people entering the country through land border crossings, airports and sea ports, has been growing by 200,000 names a year since 2004. Some lawmakers, security experts and civil rights advocates warn that it will become useless if it includes too many people. Is the US just making everyone a 'terrorist" ? ya know if you keep creating new laws, eventually everyone will be a criminal. Keep making more "anti-terrorist" laws and soon everyone will be a terrorist. if the list keeps growing at the rate of 200,000 a year, in 10 yrs there will be nearly 3 million people on that list.

Iraq, Iran Venezuela Saudi Arabia Oil and gas always plays a role strategically speaking, and alot of people are getting killed/have been killed, will be killed because of it. Oil and gas can be used so many way. agree to supply cut off supplies over throw to ensure supplies Countries can go be divided for oilpipelines let us count the ways there are to bully. the NED is used for destabilization, through "other" means. But destabilization is still destabilization. You are not seriously claiming the US has not done each and every one of those things are you?? On many, many occasions. Anyway, the points made are that the US has restarted the cold-war and that seems accurate, based on what we know, not on rhetoric.
-
Hmmm, sounds EXACTLY like what the US is doing. Or when all else fails there is always the NED. Or maybe it is the NED first, then using oil and gas for bullying and blackmail??

http://www.counterpunch.org/khan10222007.html and isn't that all so appealing to the non-thinking western news consumer?? doesn't politics make for strange bedfellows ? or not? by why does Mushareff do this for Bhutto and not for that other fellow, Sharif??? Bhutto is quite the sly fox, who btw, in her previous time in power did nothing to advance women's causes. But she will talk the talk the western audience will love to hear.

An interesting turn of events, after the Bush admin. paraded the Kurds around, prior to the attack ,(as if the Bush admin. cared) now he will bomb them. I think Turkey has already done some bombing??? or attacking? on there own, in response to Kurdish incursions.

vodka and russians go way back before Putin, if I can recall Yeltsin, was a stinkin' drunk, but anyway....... The simple facts are from Serbia to Afghanistan and on now, to the "independence movement" of Kosovo, the "missile defence" in Russia's back-yard, the US has been kicking up the cold war, several notches. Russia had been complying, but apparently enough is enough.
-
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article18590.htm Remember when Bush said something like he looked at Putin and saw his soul? Oh wait he said well working with Putin has not been Bush's raison d'etre. He doesn't even mention the oh so cozy Yeltsin years. I understand somewhere posted on the Rand site, is a plan , a US plan for the balkanization of Russia. Heard this in an interview. It would not surprise me in the least, divide and conquer. The cold war was restarted by one country and that was the US.

US Senate votes to divide Iraq
kuzadd replied to trex's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Many have contended that the entire Iraq fiasco, was a great boon to Iran. What with the natural affinity towards the shia population. An autonomous oil rich shiite controlled region, would make a great ally. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn41...03/ai_n16658765 from the chicago times U.S. attack on Iraq strengthened Iran I can recall reading other articles of this nature , previously. But clearly it makes sense. -
51% of Afghans Feeling Good About Country's
kuzadd replied to Alexandra's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
One of the naivest assessements I've ever read. what brought the Taleban to the forefront was the USA and oilpipeline deals. Via the war in Afghanistan, USA vs Soviet Union , in which the US trained tens of thousands of mujahadeens, to INITIATE the invasion of the Soviet Union, looking for a response from the Soviet Union, which did eventually come. Question: The former director of the CIA, Robert Gates, stated in his memoirs ["From the Shadows"], that American intelligence services began to aid the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan 6 months before the Soviet intervention. In this period you were the national security adviser to President Carter. You therefore played a role in this affair. Is that correct? Brzezinski: Yes. According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979. Q: Despite this risk, you were an advocate of this covert action. But perhaps you yourself desired this Soviet entry into war and looked to provoke it? B: Q: When the Soviets justified their intervention by asserting that they intended to fight against a secret involvement of the United States in Afghanistan, people didn't believe them. However, there was a basis of truth. You don't regret anything today? B: conflict that brought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire.Q: And neither do you regret having supported the Islamic fundamentalism, having given arms and advice to future terrorists? B: What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war? Please let's at least get the facts straight. from an interview: The CIA's Intervention in Afghanistan Interview with Zbigniew Brzezinski, President Jimmy Carter's National Security Adviser Le Nouvel Observateur, Paris, 15-21 January 1998 -
51% of Afghans Feeling Good About Country's
kuzadd replied to Alexandra's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I would have put the number at 80% but these people really ARE animals I guess. Scum of the earth. really, they are scum of the earth? they are ANIMALS?! exactly who invaded an entire nation on the flimsiest of premises (getting OBL, removing the Taliban LOL) and has killed thousands of civilians?? -
who cares if dumbledore is gay? Great books, good story, good movies. My kiddo started reading 'em when she was younger from the 1st book, through to the last, all those yrs later. BTW: we live in a neighbourhood, with at one time two 'gay' couples, 2 males and 2 females. Wow, if kids don't read it in a book, it's real-life, so what? and furthermore, the 'gay' couples in the neighbourhood, hasn't ruined my marriage, nor influenced my kid in a negative way. Much ado over nothing, IMO.

Or is that the problem that Christianity does not shine in the light of scrutiny? That it looks, corrupt? Stealing funds, misusing funds, using violent video games, to indoctrinate kids, to "bring them in to the fold". Fire and Brimstone to manipulate the masses. Preachers cavorting with prostitutes??? Is that the problem?
-
Of course there is no such "rule". Who said there was? Religion is a PERSONAL belief, therefore, it should be kept in the church and the community of the church. If someone wants religion they will go and find one appropriate for themselves. pointing what finger at christianity? the finger of truth? the finger of oh look at the hypocrisy? the finger of 'stop pretending christianity is superior' which finger? and more interstingly why does that concern anyone? if christianity is so superior, as is alleged, it can stand up to scrutiny, so what's the problem?

It's about scammers and scandals. not limited to just taking money, thought that is quite a part of it. Scandals are another part. Like Ms Coulter Like Pat Robertson spouting off to the flock Like the use of the ultra violent video game Halo III, to get kids to go to church. Here about that one? Outrageous! I was reading up on that one. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/07/us/07hal...ref=todayspaper Thou Shalt Not Kill, Except in a Popular Video Game at Church Ken Kenerly, 43, is a pastor who recently started a church in Atlanta and previously started the Family Church in Albuquerque, N.M., where quarterly Halo nights were such a big social event that he had to rent additional big-screen TVs. David Drexler, youth director at the 200-member nondenominational Country Bible Church in Ashby, Minn., said using Halo to recruit was “the most effective thing we’ve done.†hey why not liquor'em up! This is absolutely ridiculous, and this is the new 'tool' to get kids in????? Interestingly you have to be 17 yrs old to even buy it, but that hasn't stopped these christian churches from using them to lure kids in, ooops I mean "bait" them. Allejuiah! Though I too, wonder why everything has to wonder off, to Islam, when this is about CHRISTIAN scammers and scandals. There are just so many scams and scandals to choose from, heck , just about everyday!
