They could have sweetened the offer for another volunteer. There were over a hundred other people on that airplane, someone would have volunteered. It might have cost them another five hundred or a grand plus a hotel. Even if it cost them ten grand it would have been well worth it because now it is going to cost them millions, maybe tens of millions or more in lawsuits and lost business.

They should be ashamed of being such idiots.

Argus you seem to have actually no clue of what actually happened on that flight. The flight was overbooked!!! And the passenger was randomly selected to voluntarily get off the flight...If they did that to me I would bloody make sure their a$$ gets sued for this, which is what is happening to United Airlines...Serves them damn right!
