  1. Who said that? They have stopped whining about the 'fiscal imbalance' largely since Harper took office. He massively increased transfer payments. Think that is a coincidence? There are stll mutterings of course, but not the near riots of 3 years ago and there is a reason for it. I think the cities still need more funding for infrastructure however (over and above the 2cents/litre) they are getting now. I think Infrastructure is critical and like that part of the liberal platform.
  2. On a second look, keep Streit
  3. assists count the same as goals? Do PIM's score any pts?
  4. Schnieder at first glance but I would look up and see anythign about health issues. I assume you can make a limited amount of trades during the season?
  5. Horcoff is a consistent pts getter and he is on the past year of his contract. Also, the Oilers should have a pretty high scoring team this year. Spacek is a great Offensive D man. Just watch for injuries, but hopefully he will be ok this year.
  6. Nah, What it does is cheapen your credibility. ALL provinces have stopped whining about the fiscal imbalance, not just Quebec. But, whatever, you have obviously never been interested in facts.
  7. Simple solution then, don't vote.
  8. It was a private clinic. Privately owned. The definition of private.. I laughed when Harper called Layton on it. He muttered and flustered. lol He said well it was paid for by OHIp or whatever it is. irrelevent! He doesn't believe in private delivery of 'public healthcare'. what a hypocrite!
  9. I see. Did you also tell him that Harper was the original author of the clarity act? Oh, did you also tell him that Quebec's appetite for seperation is at it's lowest in decades? While we are at it, did you also ask him if he noticed that all provinces have suddenly stopped whining about the 'fiscal imbalance'? It's not even on the radar anymore. Did you mention these things? I mean, afterall, you were only opening his eyes to reality correct? You weren't being partisan or anything?
  10. Where there is a will there is a way. The will in this situation would be to get a better job, oh, say at Toyota?
  11. really? So you think funding for First nations should be massively increased I assume? You also believe in the right to civil disobedience for land claims I assume? Please enlighten us
  12. Ok.. for starters.. I'd take Horcoff over Sedin. Also, Whitney over Sharp (whitney is on your bench) Morris over Streit and Spacek over Rozsival
  13. Nah, I think your goalies are good. The rest of the lineup I have questions about. But, there were 12 people in your pool so maybe you are ok. I just thought there were too many Europeans for my taste (the tend to take longer to recuperate from injuries:) But I would have to see someone else's pool picks in your pool to compare really.
  14. my witty retort was the only funny thing to your post
  15. wrong. it is legal to have an abortion in Canada up to the moment of birth. and saying 'it's none of my business' is a cop out. That's like saying if a woman murders her husband, it is none of your business. it was her 'choice' after all right? Who are we to judge?
  16. Ok, cheap or expensive, Harper is helping to make it more affordable. What's the issue here (besides partisan)?
  17. ?? Ontario farmers use an Ox and plow? That's the only thing I could gleam from your post (between the insults)
  18. Oh, I see! And what point were you trying to make?
  19. Because contrary to public opinion, Toronto is not the centre of the universe.
  20. Crime? I think we should as a society orientate our sympathies to the victims of crime, not the perpetrators. A lot of the rhetoric you hear from the so called 'progressive' side sounds like the 70's when the rape victim was 'asking for it'. I also think that we should have more liberalized laws allowing citizens to protect themselves. Women aren't even allowed to carry pepper spray for chrissakes (unless it is properlya labeled 'bear repellant)
  21. ummm... that's not the crisis. That's the stalemate on a so-called 'cure'. A cure that should not happen in my opinion. Let the weak perish and the strong get stronger. Let's not reward stupidity.
  22. None of it good? ridiculous. This will relieve the expected inflationary pressured that would have resulted from this package leading to a real chance at stagflation. Also, not doing this package will certainly make the pains sharper, but shorter lived. I hope it stays dead.
