    He has a point about illegal immigrants using births as a way to stay in the country, and it's nothing to do with being 'white' or not.... I doubt it will pass a legal test tho. ETA: guess he realizes that cos he's backing off now, saying he would rather go through Congress.

    Trudeau should not be able to collect this data without our permission. I have read that the RCMP considers it surveillance because it is an active and ongoing process (not solely a one time data grab ) so they would need a court warrant to obtain this level of financial information. It is shocking that Ottawa can do this with no oversight. ETA: According to Global News, “Privacy Commissioner Daniel Therrien said in a statement Wednesday it’s launching the investigation after receiving complaints related to Statistics Canada’s collection of personal banking information.     One of the ways Canada can help stop anti Semitism is for the Trudeau Gov’t to immediately stop funding the anti Semitic UNRWA .  Sending tens of millions to such a rabidly anti Semitic org. sends the message that Canada condones such hatred, and in doing so, encourages it.

    Obama said that in 2005 actually Meanwhile they are refusing Mexico's offer of asylum but I'm not sure all of this is going to give their children a better life as these thousands of people have openly stated they intend to break U.S. law to invade that country. Personally I favour legal immigration but according to Pew Research, in 2015 there more than 30 million legal immigrants in the U.S. which is higher than the population of Texas. Legal immigration makes the country stronger and it is a lie to say people who oppose illegal migrants also oppose legal immigration. Most people do not fit into the nasty stereotypes that the left uses to smear people with who don't think the same as they do.     I've always enjoyed Star Trek, remember rushing home on Thursday nights to get supper so we could watch it. Don't remember which episodes where my faves but I still watch re-runs, and the movies. I did like Trouble with Tribbles Just finished watching the best IMO, The Voyage Home, with the Wrath of Khan a close second. Well, I love The Voyage Home also.... I just taped The Undiscovered Country but it's not one of the better movies IMO.

      Trump has made hating, vilifying and attacking groups "ok" with his rhetoric against Mexicans and the media.  When the leader of a country indulges in this way, it affects everyone and makes nutcases feel more justified to act against whoever it is they hate.  Trump is a piss-poor leader and its not a coincidence that attacks against Jews and all minorities have risen since he came to power.
