  1. We need good quality immigrants not just anyone as dre would suggest. Immigration for immigration's sake isn't going to help. We don't need anymore unskilled, poor immigrants. We're full on those. We need skilled immigrants and/or those with wealth to start businesses to employ Canadians. If the people we're letting in don't benefit Canada then we shouldn't be letting them in. We should be putting Canadians first and everyone else comes after that. Taking care of real Canadians should be the governments goal.
  2. Why not hire people on merit alone? Are you implying that non whites aren't as smart as whites?
  3. Immigrants assimilating is giving up their culture? Are the Jews giving up their culture? What about British Canadians? Is their culture being given up? No, it isn't. Who's culture is it to shun outsiders and not become part of the social fabric of your adopted country?
  4. Sometimes I think a right wing federal government and a left wing provincial government would be best. I like some of what the NDP has to say provincially. But then I remember Bob Rae and mayor Miller and I get scared.
  5. I used to hear a saying when I was younger that applied to women in business. "You have to give head to get ahead". Obviously this manager decided not to live up to that saying and decided to move away from that. Maybe he should be applauded and congratulated.
  6. Some posters I choose not to engage because I know they are only trolling me, many of them calling me Mr. Canada. Others who I know are trolling me yet I have fun engaging them. it all depends on the amount of fun you want to have.
  7. Sweat shops are good if not a great thing for developing nations. They want more of them, not less. The standard of living they are afforded because of those factories is incredible and much higher than they could make by farming. They love to make our toys, clothes and shoes and want to make more of them. If we paid factory workers in Canada to make those things they would be too expensive for us to buy. Since we have people willing to work for pennies on the dollar we, as consumers, make out very well as do the share holders and the workers themselves. Everyone is happy.
  8. Michael hardner, nice to see you back. I haven't seen you on in a while. I hope you had a good holiday. I tried to msg you this but it wouldn't let me.

  9. It's this woman's own fault for continuing to live in an area that the new non European immigrants have taken over. if she doesn't feel comfortable living around new immigrants she's free to move. That's the glory of our western countries, people can move around freely. Most of these new immigrants are very clan orientated so they will only live around work and family and those things happen to be concentrated in the cities. I live around many Muslims and they scare me a lot. I am also disabled so I am doubly worried that I will become a victim. I am also very poor and on odsp so I cannot afford to leave here. But those who can afford to flee the cities make the white flight to the suburbs. The city of Toronto is 60% minorities and 40% white now and continuing to drop. It still feels fairly safe to me mind you and many new Canadians hold doors for me and such so I am coming to terms with the new Canada. I guess the old Canada wasn't good enough for everyone. Many urban centres in Canada are seeing the same type of flux. In a few decades the urban centres could be 80% non whites and only 20% whites with the majority of the white population in out lying areas. I find it interesting how tribal humans continue to be. We don't talk about it....ever....but it seems that human nature is to live near those who look similar to ones self.
  10. I would spend the rest of my life in school as a professional student gaining multiple degrees. Not really for the degrees sake but for the sake of learning. Expanding my horizons and broadening my opinion on all matters, truly becoming an expert on many subjects.
  11. Yes, I fear religions that chop off peoples hands, feet, stone women to death for looking at another man and force their women to be covered from head to toe in thick cloth. Yes, I fear that religion which seeks to impose Sharia Law on the rest of us who wish to live in a secular society. I fear that religion of Islam which seeks to dominate the western world through violence and will behead innocent people to try to meet its goals. Sharia Law must never be allowed to infiltrate our lives!
  12. The only thing she is resisting is the temptation to eat pies. By the look of her she isn't withering away and could stand to loose a few pounds. She isn't Gandhi, she's a middle aged women who makes more a lot of money per year to mismanage her bands funds which are supplied by the government. Perhaps the government will cut off her bands funding directly. The government needs to start taking control of the funds themselves because it's obvious that decades of letting these Indians do it has gone no where. The natives aren't good at managing their own money, that's obvious. I'd like to see the treaty where it says that the government of Canada needs to endlessly support the Indian people of Canada. Perhaps we should start enforcing the treaties exactly as they are written instead of giving the Indians handouts.
  13. I think you'd be in the minority if you think of Mr. Farrahkan when someone screams "racist"! Most people would think of a white person.
  14. You have to admit though that when someone screams that a person is a racist, it's automatically assumed that the racist in question is white. Our society has been programmed that way.
  15. Would you be ok with the admins of this forum doing a little research on the members here and posting your personal details for all to see?
  16. These treaties are causing too many problems. The government needs to just tear them up and stop all funding of native bands immediately and start treating them as equals and not special. They are not special.
  17. Really? So the solution to Canada's unemployment numbers is to let in even more unemployed people? Please explain this strategy. We need toget Canadians working first before we think about helping others. nothing wrong with putting ourselves first ahead of people who aren't citizens.
  18. There isn't a gun violence problem. This is all just knee jerk reactions. People wetting their pants because something bad has happened. Nothing needs to be done. More restrictions aren't needed.
  19. It's called supporting your side and being loyal to your side. Those not on your side is the enemy. Rep. sould rather the Dems didn't exist so they could rule forever unchallenged.
  20. Canada needs to slam the door shut. We have a recession here and need to get Canadians back to work before we supply jobs to the worlds most undesirables.
  21. So you're in favor of reduced spending and tax cuts in a recession? Good to know. Thank you.
  22. Native bands get Billions of dollars every year surely they could put some aside to look after their own people instead of lining their pockets. If the bands were responsible with their money they could provide clean water for their people but they choose not to do that. That's why such a huge outcry for the bands to open their books so we can see how our tax dollars are being spent. And if they are being spent properly. The regular native person living on a reserve needs to start questioning their own band leadership and stop thinking that they are automatically doing a good job.
  23. I applaud Pm Harper for not giving in to every wing nut who chooses to not eat. I enjoyed watching this person while eating a two turkey dinners.

    1. betsy

I thought "hunger strike" means no food at all except water. The chief's consuming fish-broth. It's more like she's going on a diet at the same time!

  24. Sorry but every citizen who poses a hunger strike doesn't get to have a private audience with the PM of Canada.
  25. My eyes are wide open. The left is always pointing to race. Either to show how different we are or to show why we should treat other races differently. This is wrong. There is one Canada and one Canadian. We don't need to divide ourselves. Divide and conquer is exactly what the left wants. Let's not feed into that type of thinking and open our eyes to what's really going on in Canada. Let's not look at our differences like the left wing wants but instead look for ways we are alike. Let's celebrate our likeness not look at our differences as ways to stay apart.
