  1. Seems to me that the countries not attending are proving this conference is a farce Israel has lost the media war. It is the only country in the middle east that allows full citizenship rights to a person of any religion. Try frinding that in any Arab country Borg
  2. Anytime the UN condemns Canada it ignores the true problems of the world. United Nations - Immoral, corupt and not worth worrying about - a now worthless organization Borg
  3. Hear! Hear! Of course, you could just donate it to Zimbabwe. Maybe Bono would give you a few bucks for it? Borg
  4. I am not overly concerned about who said or did what to whom in days befgore I was born. However I am for this punishment - as a poster said - it makes a statement. Might make others think abot more on it as well Borg
  5. M. Hardner - until today I thought of you as a respected poster on these boards. You took my post and twisted the words - taking them out of context. I now see you are in fact a man with an agenda - someone to actually be feared. You might even have an evil streak in you - possibly someone to be avoided. Get off that comfy chair - stop collecting your government cheques and indeed get out and see the world through something other than your rose coloured glasses. Buy the book and read it - Because They Hate May your children never have to live in a country run by or shaped by islamic peoples and islamic laws. It is coming to Europe - perhaps in your life time - beware of it coming to your country. You will have no one to blame but people like yourself. Merry Christmas Borg
  6. Ah yes - but even in the UN - some of us have more of those rights than others. As for the movie - I liked it and in the end I actually realized it was simply entertainment. A moment in time and nothing to get too stirred up about. Merry Christmas Borg
  7. When you sit on the desert during the day you can see nothing but rocks and sand. At night the lights come on. It is amazing how many people live there - and are ready to die for their ideals. Those who are not willing - because survival instinct is strog - pick a family member - knowing full well that if they do not - their entire family wil be killed. So they pick their weakest, or their retarded (their words not mine) and send them. Last week dogs were used to carry explosive charges into villages. One was suspected of having been surgically implanted with them and then set loose. It makes for an interesting life. The hate is strong and it is imported into all western societies through immigration and it does not go away - tribal warfare Decline of what you know today has commenced and it may not matter to you - but what is coming is quite possbly going to very ugly. I walk in the cradle of civilization - the place where math and science and medicine were once studied. If you were a person of wealth you came here for your education. Islam has killed this and bred hatred in return for anything other than the koran. Send your children to school today and they will memorize the koran - the girls will never go to school. To get sick as a woman is to die. To be educated as a woman is not to be. To keep the people under control where I am - the people are kept uneducated and they are kept hungry. Money in each islamic country I patrol is controlled by very few families. I have learned a great deal over here - and I have learned that our tolerance may very well be our undoing. Islam is to be feared. CBC partnerships? All in the name of tolerance - tolerance that will never be returned - despite the writings of the media and the sqawking of the politician and the screeching of the special interest groups. Borg
  8. Still the money will be spent - the hole will be deeper and we then will be hearing requests for even more money. Despite the pain it will bring, I am against this. Providing money wil only delay the inevitable. Borg
  9. I am not surprized - although I am sure no one of importance will be punished. After all, no one knew anything about it. Borg
  10. Money going out exceeds money coming in. Time to look at the expense side of the governments - prov and fed. I would be willing to bet there is at least 25% that could be saved if someone actually balanced the cheque book by deciding it was time to cut a few things. Almost any Mrs. Joe Sixpack and her nearly empty bank account understands this. Wait though - Taliban Jack and "whoever is running the Libs" would have every media outlet in the country screaming blue murder Hmm .... kill CBC - or sell it - or make it self supporting - that would save a pile of money and reduce the screaming by a good portion. Any more cuts out there? Must be lots. Heck go flat rate tax and get rid of every tax lawyer and accountant plus revenue Canada. Most folks I know would rather have a sister in a whore house than a brother working for revenue Canada anyways. Agree or disagree - but in the end we need to boldly change the very core of how we operate - not chip at it from the sides like some stereotypical limp wristed homosexual. Borg
  11. A typical, expected and certainly not well thought out response from you. Divert, hijack and attempt to change the topic in order to delay or even belay the truth. Why don't you start your own thread on Mr. Harper? That way we can all see what you really think. Hmmmm ..... I think you have said it many times before - a broken record perhaps? Perhaps you might like to add your enlightened comments on the titled person? Or better - you might try staying on track - at least for today. Have a nice day - Merry Christmas to you and yours, Borg
  12. What happens when this money is gone? Pretty tough to get out of a hole by creating more debt for the nation. Borg
  13. We would have been - already - if we had not sold the Chinooks to the Dutch and cancelled a helicopter contract. Libs in action. We reap what we sow. Borg
  14. Interesting comments As I am presently working in the middle east I happened to be in a certain country a few days ago. While I was talking to a man on the street neer the market place - his wife - being a good wife - got down on her knees behind him and placed her face on the ground so our eyes would not met. So - which way will it be in a couple of generations? Oh, the going rate for a pretty wife is fairly cheap - I turned down the offer - despite her attractive figure - did not see her face. My wife would not likely approve of a second wife Borg
  15. Born into money - educated - lived a great portion of his life outside Canada. Never professed any interest in returning until there was a possiblity he could buy his way into power. Really in touch with this country - knows how the average Canadian lives - knows how to balance a middle income budget and still send the kids to hockey, figure skating, soccer and gymnastics. For sure he knows what is best for Canada - after all, he is a staunch Canadian and has had to clean the dirt from under his fingernails after a hard day on the farm/in the factory while paying his way through college. Certainly understands how difficult it is to make ends meet after working a 55 hour week - including weekends and nights in the retail industry - dealing with difficult customers and a cranky cash register. Relates easily to the wo/man on the street. Is likeable and friendly. Shows his caring nature at all times to those who struggle to pay their taxes. Relentless in pursuing a better Canada for those who have had no chance at an education paid for by family members meaning they are unable to afford the PHD - after all, they have to eat somehow. Probably has never worried one day in his life about how to heat the house and still feed the family while hoping the engine problem on his old car will not cost a months pay to be fixed. Canada will be well and truly f***ed up if this kind and trustworthy soul ever makes it to PM. Of all of the people running with knives to cut the lib party leadership apart - this is the one most dangerous man in Canada. An opportunist who could not be trusted to protect anything except his own self interests. I think the bio missed a lot of "little" things. Borg
  16. So sue - there is bound to be a shyster somewhere that will take you on pro bono You can split the proceeds if you win Walk away with nothing if you lose - but you have stated you have nothing Sue - it is the new Canadian way - you have nothing to lose Or take it to human rights - as long as you are not white you should do ok Borg
  17. I voted other: I see Canada as a welfare state - so - to have a little fun: A fire was reported in a three family house midmorning Wednesday last week in downtown Toronto. Sadly, there were many fatalities. On the first floor lived an african family - 6 fatalities. On the second floor lived a muslim family - 13 fatalities. On the third floor lived a white family of 2 - no fatalities. A reporter at the scene made headlines with this story. The fire chief and his department were immediately attacked by the NDP, readers on Maple Leaf Forum, the islamic society of Canada and several black right's groups as well as the governor general of Canada as being racist in their handling of the fire and loss of life issues. There was some unsettling discomfort - when questioned further the fire chief explained why the family on the third floor survived the fire and the others did not. His response was, "They were at work." Have a good one Borg
  18. The common man or woman has no desire to decrease their income while you in turn want to increase their tax burden. When was the last time you stood on the deck of a fishing boat, turned wrenches with a man in the oil fields, cleaned a barn with a farmer, branded a calf with a rancher, sat in a combine in Saskatchewan, sat at the table of a single mom with a couple of kids and ate canned beans and macaroni from the food bank, discussed fixed income earnings with an elderly senior who cannot pay his / her heating bill, handled a drill at the 4500 foot level in a hard rock mine, visited the troops in Afghanistan / Sudan / Lebanon / Sierra Leone / Congo / etc. or pulled an all night shift with a couple of police or fire fighters? How can you think to speak for those who actully have to work and pay taxes - many risking their lives to do so - and vainly attempt to make ends meet - when you live so far (socially, geographically and economically) from the person who pays your wages? Borg
  19. My question to myself today - as I drove down the road was - "What if it is true?" Borg
  20. deleted - not worth it.
  21. Well, I have read the sum several times in other articles - so I believe it to be true. Still far less than what many players make I would presume. Bottom line is who cares what the amount is - I am sure there are many cuts before the money gets to the originator. This is a national institution. Cancelling it is something that people will get over - however it will indeed be missed by many. Borg
  22. Bravo! Waiting for a government to support you is about as smart as standing in the middle of the high speed lane of any highway. Be a man (woman) and go forth to support your family - and you did. Fort Mac is not called little Newfoundland because it is full of welfare folks - it is full of hard working folks who do what they must to keep full bellies ain the house. Gotta' respect that in a big way. Too many in this country are willing to wait for gov handouts. Get what they deserve. Borg
  23. Remember this statement when I rip someone to get a reaction Regards Borg
  24. That is because the extras do not have the skill to ride without them. Borg
  25. Margrace One of our businesses is raising beef cattle. Or should I say "was". We lost more than 300K in real dollars and have gone from several hundred animals to 10 - just for the family. Our government(s) lib and con - fed and prov - ALL talked a great story about subsidies for survival - we personally benefitted to the tune of almost 300 bucks total over the past few years and have withdrawn completely from the process - it costs more to prepare the statements than we could ever have hoped to receive. In fact accountants get very rich on some schemes. CAIS is widely known as the "Chartered Accountant Income Supplement". Our land is growing in value and we will use it to create an income. If that means using food to make oil - we will. As for the cost of food - as far as I am concerned - tough. We paid top dollar for our land and it will make a return sooner or later - and we will reap the benefit. Cheap food has always been an unwritten policy of canadian governments. As such the consumer has benefitted and the farmer - all types - has struggled. If the consumer has to start paying - so be it. If the farmer plans to rip up trees to grow something that benefits his wallet - good on him. Bad for canada but tough tittie - the farmer will do what he must to survive. Let the consumer eat from foreign countries - so be it. I may not agree with all of the above, as I believe the products grown in canada are safer and even better than many products grown elsewhere - but - and it is a big but - the canadian people as a whole are going to reap what they have sown. Life and reality are coming together - and I want to be on the winning side. Despite the little pockets of "eat local" and a few informed people - very few are even aware of or care about what is happening. Heck, agriculture is the second largest employer in Ontario and possibly the same in Alberta and many other provinces - yet it sucks the hind tit due to lack of interest by the public as a whole. Mrs. "I live in a chicken coop on the 12'th floor" (read voter) does not really care where the food comes from - it just needs to be affordable. So I no longer worry about it. Once the competition and the food source is controlled by off shore interests you can be sure the cost will grow - and that cost growth will likely be dramatic. Our land is now paid for and we do very well with the new system we have in place - we will simply make oil instead of food. When the consumer decides eating is more important we will adapt again. I do not see that happening for a long time. Profit drives our program - not social concious - the difference being one allows us to survive and one puts us on the street. We do well by looking long term and adapting to the situation - whereas the public - as a rule - does not and is not willing to do this. Finally - to answer your question about setting ourselves up - you are correct - but it does not matter - people are short sighted and only care about today. That is why so many of them will always remain in their situation - using reaction as their main standard. Proactive thinking is a thing of the past - it is more important to nuke that box of frozen stuff and watch the simpsons make asses of themselves on the boob tube. Borg
