  1. Seems to me a recent MacLeans magazine showed there was a heck of a pile of folks who are "narrow minded racists" (my words) by the standard of this discussion. A lot of them seemed to be fairly well educated. Perhaps you might ask this question - Why would they think that way? Another perhaps - Maybe there is a solid reason for this. Borg
  2. No, we do not need more citizens and an expanded economy. What we need are more people who WANT to be here and leave their baggage at home. People who want to be Canadian - not people who collect welfare from several different wives in different houses. Not people who are "passport of convenience" carriers and use our system yet put little to nothing back in. Not people who bring in family members who COST us money. Not people who demand we change for them. Not people who are determined to change us to fit the "old country" and the beat goes on. Damned liberals and their anybody but a European created a hell of a mess and it is going to get worse. Borg
  3. Screw that - a simpletons answer - if you do not like the response - then withdraw the question. "Love thy neighbour" is a two way street and so far there have been huge instances of no returned love. We could love them - but that new neighbour is now a pain in the ass and not worth the trouble of allowing into my country so I can support him / her. Many bring in so much baggage it is disgusting - I am tired of adjusting for those who come in - when is it going to be the other way around? Do not like the response? Tough tittie. Borg
  4. Oleg Slap me! I agree with you and in fact I believe you do not go far enough. We are in the mess we are today because of the damned liberals and their social experiments with Canada. Unfortunately we have lost control due to the social re-enginnering of this country. Not my quote - but read it here somewhere - and it is only a paraphrase - but close enough: "Acceptance of diversity is directly related to the distance you live from it". I have come to agree with this statement - and so have many more. Time for Canada to be far more hard nosed about who and what we let in. And even more so as to who and what we let STAY after arrival. It is going to be far more UNMANAGEABLE over the next few years of we do not watch our doors carefully. Borg
  5. Which is only one of many reasons why he is still so rabidly hated to this day in the provinces west of Ontario. When one speaks his name it is usually followed by a swear word or two. Deservedly so. His son is rapidly gaining the same following. Borg
  6. "Harper's chief of staff causing tensions in Tory circles" And who really cares? He will do what he is either hired or told to do. If he does not, he will be fired or asked to leave. Nothing truly news worthy or earth shattering here. Borg
  7. I love ads that tell folks about the other party -and bothe sides do it -then scream bloody murder when it comes back to them from the other side - it is all part ofthe game I do not call them attack ads - that is what the smug canadian calls them - attack ads my ass. In fact Iggy is nothing more than a transplanted American. Lots of folks out there in smug canada have no clue about this - even today. And Harper is a control freak. However Harper has kept things together quite well. Iggy has some work to do to catch up - if he ever does. Better to send him home - the libs are a pain in the ass and not worthy of coming to the rulers table yet. Borg
  8. Which is why - to this day - my people would drive 500 miles to piss on trudeaus gravestone before they would walk 5 feet to shake the hand of his git. Borg
  9. Nothing more than platitudes - for the laws of today would not allow the return to the days of old. However the past cannot be changed - time for those who believed they were persecuted to suck it up and move on. Just like your ancestors in kebec - but they are unable to do so. And by remaining this way they continue to create and perpetuate the animosity. My family did get over it and got quite wealthy by "geting over it" and taking it to the financial side. Living well is, after all, the best revenge. Fortunately your people are slowly being forced into the real world - it will be better for you in the long run. After all you speak English now - so you are slowly joining the main stream despite doing it kicking and screaming. It will happen in kebec as well. 50 more years and it will be the main stream language - I might even be around to see it. Unless of course they leave - which is a better solution. Saves the costs of bi-lang in Canada and even manufacturing will get a bit cheaper. No bi-lang labels and instructions. Gotta' run - Air Canada is not gong to wait for me and I want to head west across the pond - been away too long. One final note - It is YOU who cannot get over the past - your writing shows it very well - Argus hass picked up on it as well - time to look in the mirror and ask if you are as golden as you might believe. I think not. We see it and you either do not or you ignore it. Cheers Borg
  10. And this Ladies and Gentlemen is why - in the long run - we have lost - social re-egineering at its best. It is weak people like you who cannot face the reality of what it is like out there in the rest of the world - and you are looked upon as nothing more than meat in the shwarma Loss may come through this mentality of being fair at all cost. You are simply living up to the heritage of your ancestors, who have - over and over again - lost due to their weakness. The only way to negotiate with the enemy is with your knee in his chest and your knife at his throat. For he will do the same. Or worse. No one will remember the finer details years after the fight - they will just remember who the leaders were and how they won/lost. That is why Romeo is a hated man in many militaries. Must run for a couple of days Cheers Borg
  11. I have always stated the kebec language police create a serious division - the kebec politician wants that division - the common day franco loves it as well - the laws are discriminatory and beloved - never get away with that in any other province. It is a one way street inide the kebec borders and a two way street is demanded out side the kebec borders. Immigration is only good for canada if it it builds us up - more and more it seems to tear us down. Perhaps we are inviting the wrong people. Borg
  12. Can't beat them at the negotiating table, then beat them in the alley and the ditch - to win with honour? Or to win? Kill them all and let God sort it out? Romeo can talk - he has been turned into a bit of a cultural hero in canada - worked recently with a few other nations who were there - they are not so appreciative of his wisdom or his ability. If it talkes getting down and dirty then so be it. The only unfair fight is the fight you lose. Borg
  13. Have a good one when you go back to your roots Be sure to take the remainder with you Borg
  14. Seems to me the potential for weakening fences will be rather high Borg
  15. So the first protest for whatever reason - after the power plant is built - blockade the plant and pull the plug? Borg
  16. What I do clearly understand is that everyone is more than ready to make an excuse - as you have just done. I am not prepared to open the cheque book so my tax dollars can placate every special interest group - not interested in excuses - suck it up folks - the past is past and we cannot change it. Move along folks - time to get over it. My family did - so can yours. Borg
  17. Agree - however social re-engineering has made this a light weight issue in canada. Borg
  18. In this case, thank God - he was as guilty as the crow with the shiny metal piece in his mouth. Only the small players fell - there is no doubt he knew - he certainly did not live by the "Buck stops here" But the courts did let him walk I admit Couldn't have been happier to see his back when the dust settled - great day for Canada - and he will never be back Borg
  19. Perhaps he should have converted the old American saying into a canadian saying. "Canada - love it or get the hell out" Hmmm ..... he might have offended someone - so that just would not do. In fact I would have respected him more if he had done that. Borg
  20. Fine. NO torture please - after all he is such a sweet kid. Just put the food down in front of him and walk away - he can make his own choices from there. If we are lucky he will make the right choice. Borg
  21. Tsk, tsk, tsk You are treading on the toes of the "poor kid" folks here - and that will get your pee pee slapped by more than a few Borg
  22. It is just that some are more equal than others. Borg
  23. Tells you a lot about the average canadian Borg
  24. Money talks my friend - and bullshit walks. Never fear. They will stay for the cash. Borg
  25. Well, you need to take that one up with the feds - the libs got us into Afghan and of course we follow the corrupt UN like nice little lap dogs. Your beliefs are fine but we do have obligations that are necessary to fill - if we do not then we are out of the game. Do we tell NATO to stuff it? Do we tell the world that we are staying home? We could I admit - but there are more than a few people out there in the big old world that truly do rely upon us. And yes, we do a lot of good - but the biggest problem is there are a great many in Canada who tend to forget that - or start yelling crap from their arm chairs when something goes wrong. In the end - as good soldier we do nothing more or less than our bosses tell us to do - and you folks elect them. Hmmmm ..... I wonder when Taliban Jack is going to go across the pond and wish his fellow Canadians a good day? Anyway - there are times I agreee with you - and I have been across the pond to one of the smaller shows for the past year - home in July via a commercial airline ticket to Toronto and then a rapid escape from that hell hole a small piece of heaven. Off to the big show next March or April if all goes according to plan - or staying here if no replacement can be found for me. (Think on this last sentence a bit) Borg
