I have to give the girl credit where it is due - she answered as she believed - and in today's politically correct society - that takes a fair amount of courage. Good on her. As for the dimwit asking the question - he proved the young lady had far more class than he did Borg

Pretty early in the year for this to happen - I hope China has some more cash on hand for them. A full three months earlier than last year. Sooner or later this is going to hurt them big time. And then it will come to us - when the U.S. of A. sneezes Canada gets the flu. That tax payer well is going to run dry. Borg --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Happy Debt Day: Government to 'Run Out' of Cash Sunday, Earliest Ever Fox News / Politics | 04/24/2009 Debt Day comes early this year. Unfortunately, it's nothing to celebrate. The symbolic "holiday," which falls on Sunday, marks the point in the fiscal year when government spending exceeds revenue. In other words, the government will stop making money and start borrowing on Sunday. And it's coming earlier than ever, according to House Minority Leader John Boehner, who's pointing to Debt Day as yet another symptom of a government he says is spending too much, borrowing too much and taxing too much. Last year's Debt Day fell more than three months later, on Aug. 5. "All the revenue for this fiscal year will be spent as of Sunday," Boehner, R-Ohio, said. With the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, he said, "everything that happens after Sunday through ... the balance of this fiscal year is going to have to be borrowed from our kids and grandkids." Boehner penned a column, posted on his Web site, blaming the early Debt Day on an "arrogant culture of spending" and the Obama administration's "borrowing binge." "In short, about halfway through Fiscal Year 2009, Washington has run out of money," he wrote. The staggering budget deficit, projected to hit as high as $1.8 trillion by the end of the year, is due to a combination of symptoms. The Congressional Budget Office's monthly budget report for March, released early this month, showed the federal government has seen both a loss in revenue and a spike in spending. The report showed revenue fell by about $160 billion, or 14 percent, below its 2008 level for the first half of the fiscal year -- and spending rose to $1.9 trillion, about one-third over the 2008 level at that halfway point.

Obama's CIA torture exemption 'illegal' : UPDATE!
Borg replied to tango's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
And all the while the world carry's on and laughs as the U.S. administration either tears itself apart or diverts attention from the real problem - the U.S. is going broke. Bama is smart - divert attention from his very real inability to carry on as he promised. I believe his approval rating will soon plummet Borg -

Tories poured cash into rich West: Taxpayers' report
Borg replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Waldo Fact remains the money in the west is appreciated and well spent - no one there is buying votes to create a separate / keep a country together depending on who is in power - however if we could spend enough money to convince kwebec to leave I would be ready to increase my taxes. In the long run we would end up saving money. Have a good one Borg -
At the very least ths site is getting a lot of attention in the U.S. of A. Hoax or not? it is now a busy site. Thought some of you might find it interesting. The more cerebral lefty types here will attempt to dismiss it by attacking the site owners and those who read it - the fact remains this is becoming a huge topic and the media is avoiding it. Participating organizations listed below. I believe this topic will continue to grow and eventually the media will not be able to voluntarily ignore it as the presidents approval ratings drop. No vote scheduled on Tory bill to kill gun registry
Borg replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No, the argument more - much more - it is about what is required to get the registration - and THEN it is about the registration. Best look again my fine feathered friend. Do you believe you should have to ask permission to buy that car? If you have a vehicle do you believe you should be forced to allow police to enter your house to see it - at their convenience? Even if you have nothing to hide? Borg -
Obama Administration Keep US Ban on Maher Arar

Waldo Show me the proof please The politicians bowed to pressure in my opinion The guy is a liar in my opinion - and others as well So - has anyone ever seen this proof? Probably not I suspect our southern neighbours might have something as they will not budge - theymay not be perfect - but they will not allow that person the right to enter their country - a right any country has by the way - Canadians are - as usual whining about something they have no control over. Do you have it? The proof that is - just in case you did not understand the question. If not then as far as I - and many others are concerned this was a fraud and the guy can take his family and leave. Not to be missed He can keep the money - call it a final courtesy form comfy Canada. Borg -
Quite the rant my friend I am with you on this issue though On the flag - I took the flag down several years ago though - and no longer wear it on my uniform - I no longer fight for Canada - I do it for the guy on my left and the guy on my right. Borg

Canada did not torture him - if indeed he ever was. He travelled to his home country - a Canadian of convenience - and a great convenience it was. Made him and his family quite well to do. Syria - the country I was in today - is supposed to have done this. He and his family now have tons of our money - time for them to leave and go where they can live a fine life. Syria perhaps? I am still waiting for something other than his word for proof. That so called great evil - south of the border does not want him in for a reason - I do not want him or his in Canada for the same reason. Waiting for the proof ........ he has plenty of reasons to lie. It will never come. Borg -
He may be tough enough - but he is losing his grip on the polls, he has spurred firearms purchase, he has spurred ammo purchases, he has divided his country racially, he has embarassed his country internationally, he has spend millions to seal his college records and birth certificate (not his certificate of natural birth - in the US they are different) and he has more than doubled the debt within his first 100 days in office. Obama is in over his head and the US is in trouble. The US is in big, big trouble financially, and serious trouble along religious lines and along racial lines. I believe that place will see serious internal - and quite likely very violent strife over the next two years - it will follow racial lines and possibly religious lines. It will not be pretty. Borg

Too bad - but then again canada has a history of appeasement and weakness when it comes to terrorists Deport his entire family as well. Nothing but a risk and a cost to canada This shows it is a legal system in canada and NOT a justics system - a pox on the judge Borg -

No vote scheduled on Tory bill to kill gun registry
Borg replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Car registry song and dance To compare firearms to cars. You cannot prohibit me from buying a car. I can have an unregistered car on my property I can not be forbidden from transporting my car. I do not have to have family or ex family permission to own a car Police do not have the right to enter my house because I own a car And many more That is why we do not argue about car registration You need toget out more Borg -

As I am now living with an Arab family for the next week or so I believe you do not know me as well as you think you do. More to this man that meets the eye or is to be believed - papers and lefties love to kiss this man's ass. I got screwed and so did all tax payers. Show me the proof - cannot be done As for the racist comment hidden as you did - quite cowardly actually - perhaps your franco background makes you one as well - seems most in kebec or from that place are - at least against the Anglo - you coming true to form? On ignore Borg -

I think the RCMP need to mend their own image before they take on Joe Farmer and his firearms. Swing as they want - for sure you better lay down if they show up at your door - taser happy and quick to hide the truth - unless you figure you can beat the odds when they zap you - and they do not always seem to need a real strong reason to do this.. I no longer have the respect for their uniform that I did as a young man. Borg -
