  1. You aren't making *any* sense. Time to change the dosage on those meds buddy.
  2. This is a no-win situation for the Liberals and *all* the serious contenders are making sure it stays that way. Take a frickin' stand. Conservartives are going pro-Israel, that will help them electorally. NDP are going anti-Israel, that will help them electorally. Liberals are tying not to offfend anybody. That won't help them at all.
  3. Very punny! Iggy pissing off the Jewish community would be a good thing for the Conservatives in an election, but can he win the leadership without the communties support?
  4. OK shakey. Anybody you want to freak out on? Maybe you should get over your self. It's great you have kids. Doesn't give you a right to be foul-mouthed and pedantic. To whom are you referring? Wouldn't be a poster who swore at me because they were unable to actually formulate a logical argument? Would it?
  5. Yup, I was trying to put the Jedi mind trick on you. Seriously of the top four Iggy is the Conservative's best shot at a majoirity. - He's pro-Afghanistan mission, pro-torture and anti-Israel. (All play into the Conservative's hands.) - He's inexperienced on the national stage and already proven a penchance to stick his foot in his mouth. - If it's a Conservative majority, which it could be, it will be his only election as leader (like Dion and Rae). This means he'll be much more likely to go for the big bold move. (Something like Martin's desperation "get rid of the Notwithstanding Clause" that people might actually care about.) This means he is that much more likely to make a big mistake. That is the one big advantage to Kennedy - he can stick around for a potential five or six year stint in opposition.
  6. Yet another reason why Iggy winning the leadership is the best thing that could possibly happen ... to the Conservatives.
  7. Yet another reason why Iggy winning the leadership is the best thing that could possibly happen ... to the Conservatives.
  8. There's the rub. This thread is really just about Gerry trolling and trying to start fights. He has resorted to swearing, then chaning his posts sometimes. All very odd.
  9. Why did you edit your post to say SCR#W then?
  10. Wow you cleaned that one up in a hurry. If you truly don't care about getting banned why clean it up? Just gonna cut and paste this one in case you try and sanitize it as well. At least have the strength in your beliefs to leave your posts as you originally posted them Gerry. You're not swearing *anymore* Gerry. You're not swearing anymore.
  11. What is the purpose of this thread? To chastise Harper and the Conservatives for not following through on a policy they officially changed? To attack people? To finally cross the line and get youself banned? Good work on accomplishing all three!
  12. Wouldn't force these people to move if they didn't want to. But that still doesn't mean the government should pay for their internet. If they want it they can pay for it. I've been back in Calgary for about six months. In the last week or so I have noticed the housing market cooling off. Apartment buildings with for rent signs that are up for weeks. Houses and condos staying on the market for weeks and months instead of hours and days. >$1,000 a month for basement apartments might be in Fort McMurray but not in Calgary or Edmonton. It is much, much easier to find an apatment now than it was four months ago, when I luckily found my place. I pay a good price for my apartment. I talked to the landlord when I took it for July 1st. He easily could have gotten at least $300 a month more than I am paying in the market as it was then. He said that there was no reason to be greedy and if he charged the top of the market people would leave as soon as things cooled off a little. A short four months later he is looking pretty shrewd with that one.
  13. Why not move somewhere where they can work hard *all* year. Like a lot of us on this site?
  14. Hmmm, what more evidence do we need that Gerry is here under a different set of rules. F#ck me and my idiotic insults? Can't really see the guy getting banned for anything if that's not going to do it. Boy what a fasicating debate you have started Gerry. Please continue....
  15. The Internet is a luxury. Not a necessity of life. Let me get this straight, you start your comeback by attacking *right-wingers* but you aren't anti-Albertan. Hmmm, interesting. Why not attack Ontario, with the benefits of years of lopsided industrial policy and proximity to big U.S. markets? Why not attack BC, with a resource and tourism rich economy? Because Ontario and BC vote more along the lines of your thinking. i.e. not right wing.... Good work Rovik.
  16. You have all the right in the world to stand behind your children. Swearing at posters on an anonymous message board isn't standing behind your child. It's rude and infantile behaviour. Did you really chastise another poster for breaking a rule on the same thread where you called me a jackass? Nice double-standard there pal. Get over myself? I still stand by my word. You join the Taliban and I'll sign up for the Forces.
  17. They changed the policy *before* the last election. Did the Liberals break a promise beause five year ago Martin said SSM wasn't on the table? Think about it. Wait that would require the ability to think.
  18. How can you support the military but not supporting them doing their job? Say what you will but public opinion is moving towards the direction of the mission and the position of the Government. Just take a look at today's Toronto Star. Two columns supporting the mission. The last major public opinion poll published shows the majority of Canadians support the mission. Seems like things are going right for a majority. Just think of it four (or so) more years of Prime Minister Harper.
  19. Hmmm, three insults and one incredibly weak double standard (i.e. it's your business where I work but not my business where you work?) You are setting records for rule breaking in a single thread Gerry. Good work!
  20. Couldn't be nitpciking. Harper and the Conservatives change their policy. Just ignore that and point to an old policy. The Canadian people are smarter than that. That's why we'll win a majority in the spring. Man, pretty pathetic stuff... really..
  21. I didn't realize members of your family were forced to join the military Shakey. The decision of your children to join the military doesn't give you the right to behave in such a manner. Swearing at me is ignorant and indefensible. We live in a free society. People who join the military are defending our rights, including the right to freedom of speech. Your asking me why I don't go to Aghanistan is flippant and insulting. Your swearing at my for responding to your flippancy with the same degree of flippancy is unfathomable. What gives you the right to behave in this manner?
  22. As I have said before because I have volunteered in the past, am a party member, and will support them in the future. You still haven't said where you work Gerry. Or confirmed that you are actually employed. Quid pro quo? To attribute something to somebody you need a quote. Good work avoiding the issue again. I saw that you were taken to task on another thread by a poster tiring of your antics. Good work Gerry another few weeks and you can have an army of posters here outraged by your actions!
  23. Let's get it back on topic. While some thread hijackers try and point to some other *possible* Conservative malfeasance, this particular case is an example of the Conservatives doing well. The tone of accountability is continuing in the Government. Good work Mr. Prime Minister. Good work indeed.
  24. Hmmm, so wrong on so many levels. 1. The terms of the Petro Canada IPO were that no shareholder, other than the Feds could owe more than 10% of the shares. 2. The stock price fell by 35% within the first year. Not such a great investment for public funds. 3. PetroCan didn't have the capability to be a major player in Oil Sands at the time of the IPO. Things have changed a lot in the past 15 years. 4. The Don Getty fiascoes probably proved that it was a good thing for Alberta taxpayers the government didn't buy PetroCan.
