Maybe but Dion is good news for the Conservatives in the next election. Definitely not beloved in his native Quebec. His poor pronunciation in English is going to be a strike against him. Chretien got away with it as part of his p'tit gar persona. Don't see Dion getting away wit it so easily. Especially when Harper's French is far, far better than Dion's English.

Iggy waffling is great for us. No way the Liberals try and make an issue of Afghanistant with Iggy at the helm. Waaaaay too much can go wrong with that one.

That's a pretty tall order. Look at this board. It degenerates into partisan name-calling all the time. Who starts it really isn't material. Until all parties agree to stop it will continue. Such is life in politics. The higher ground is usually bandoned very quickly. A big reason is that as much as people say they hate "attack ads" or attacking one's opponents ... suich tactics are very effective.

Volpe is a laugh. I loved his reaction to Diebel's question. If it turns out the story in the Star is true, that is the one about people being paid by a federally funded job service working on his campaign he should retire immediately. Brison showed why he was being foolish in leaving the Conservativews. On every issue but SSM he is much more Conservative than Liberal. He made a great point about economic issue not even beeing spoken about. How could anyone trust Rae on the economy? Iggy did good. Which is great for the Cosnervatives.

I'm wondering if any of them can. Still think Rae has the best chance, but still an underdog. I got a kick out of Martha Hall Findlay being 'scrummed'. She actually had to pester the reporters to ask her more than a couple lame, standard questions.

As long as the rules of the board are applied equally to all posters it is a good place and a worthy use of public money. Inequal enforcement of the rules implies that public money is being used for partrisan purposes in a supposedly non-partisan forum.

If you want to hijack the board for your Harper-hatred don't expect to get a free ride of it. Should public money go to pay for it? Absolutely not.

I don't see him getting warnings. Of course he has the right to support his agenda. He doesn't have the right to break the rules of the form. Examples of his malfeasance? He starts multiple threads on the same topic, cross-posts time after time. Swears and insults other posters. Those are the sorts of behaviour I take offence to. That sort of behaviour shouldn't be the outcome of publicly spent money. I have the right to mention these concerns. Not breaking any rules by doing so.

At least you aren't swearing shakey. Good on you for that. Desperate? Hmmm, we are still in government and the most recent polls all put the Liberals and Conservatives within the margin of error. Pick your leader and let's see how much your support holds up? If Volpe's actions aren't condoned kick him out of the leadership race and strip him of his membership. Unless that is done it seems that his actions are condoned by the party.

I honestly think that Rae is going to be far tougher to beat than Iggy. Here are my reasons. 1. Iggy will make lots of rookie mistakes (ex. Qana - war crimes). Rae won't make those mistakes. 2. Rae's French is better. 3. The only real strike against him is Ontario. I hate to say it but I think alot of people will give him a pass. 4. Rae puts Afghanistan into play. With Iggy as leader it won't be an issue.

Good news for the Conseratives. Volpe sure ain't a team player. The writing has been on the wall for his chances for a long tiem now.

While it is an unfortunate double-standard Harper will have to explain our presence in Afghanistan. That's why we want Iggy to win. Aghanistan won't be much of an issue with Iggy at the helm.

w&w don't feed the troll. Grehatrick's only purpose here is to bait Conservatives. He has the tacit approval of the moderator to do so. His untold number of broken rules in the face of other posters being banned for lesser offences is proof of that. I'm not sure what the relationship is, but it is inappropriate. To get back on topic. It's in the best interest of the Conservative party of Canada to have Rae lose the leadership.
