Framing this is some kind of foggy leftist strategy reveals a misunderstanding of how issues play out in the public sphere. Right-wing and left-wing politics couldn't defeat neoliberalism because there's no platform, or there hasn't been a platform, upon which the public could discuss it... Meaningfully. If you want evidence of that, look at how global trade is being discussed now. And these are not left-wing people discussing it. Furthermore, identity issues are about rights... Individual rights is Not traditionally a domain of leftist, socialist thought. They're more concerned about economic equality. When the US was framed, they addressed the primary issue of individual rights at that time: the right to worship under their chosen religion. So identity rights are built into the American public discourse. Discussion of the Israel situation is the endgame of the current political confusion. Right-wing, left-wing.... Who supports Israel? It's all over the map.

You're asking if the US engages in biological warfare? That is, plans and designs for it? I don't doubt that. Would they cover it up? Of course. These are the same people who gave us wmd and the Gulf of Tonkin. What's the implication though? -

1. Nor do I, really. 2. It COULD be negligence, matched with cover-up. 3. Would the US lie ? Of course 4. And ? 5. No... it's implications. I'm not saying everything you say is wrong. I'm not saying that institutions are perfect, or even good, or even trustworthy. But I can believe parts of what you say, without attributing it to some kind of political and partisan plot. I don't think you're crazy, but maybe paranoid. -

I don't know these things to be true. I know that if it were true he couldn't do that alone, unless there was a conspiracy though. Why wouldn't people turn him in ? Answer: a conspiracy. Conspiracy isn't about the facts it's about getting away with it. I don't trust Fauchi, but I know how open systems work. I know how institutions work. Nobody could get away with 9/11. Nobody can get away with a Climate Hoax. Unless there was a conspiracy. Is there one ? -

It's conspiracy theory, that is all. You have an ill-considered opinion that the global network of public health institutions have alterior motives, that they were corralled into following in 2010. You think that you're equally able to be an epidemiological expert than someone who got their PhD and studied it for years? And you expect me to believe that? You're a stranger and so are they. They have qualifications though and that means something to most of us. -

1. The "TheyLied.ca" people set up a booth near a public park. First time I got to see some of these people in the flesh and I honestly just felt bad for them. They just looked uncomfortable, unhappy and ill-fitted. I did get mad, though, when one of them tried to hand my 6-year old a piece of anti-vax būllshit propaganda fashioned to look like a 20 dollar bill. They seemed shocked that I would tell them to not talk to my children, but I'll bet their at the school meetings slobbering about LGBTQ 'propaganda" in the form of a rainbow sticker pasted somewhere. 2. My longest friend was always a naive guy. Unbeknownst to me, he started listening to bro podcasts and went down into the muck. I told him I loved him when he explained his position and said we're done with this. Like many on here, he desperately wanted to "debate" undebatable things like values, opinions etc. 3. Same situation with me. My pal actually grabbed an AI page, neglected to clip the AI signature, and posted it to me as his opinion on things. 4. Right. So you can't build a system based on 100% agreement or engagement. Your experience mirrors mine. -

I think a "systems thinking" response on this would necessitate acknowledging that a certain segment of "the" public will never engage with an expert-led information model and we have to account for that. While I do think that public engagement needs to be curated at all levels, I also think that if you acknowledge that we can accept single-digit percentages of ... whatever you want to call them, let's say "refuseniks" ... then their involvement needs to be considered differently. Basically, you are doing this with them for 'entertainment'. You don't have a hope of convincing them, nor do you have any real stake in doing so. -

Also top story on FOX News website. I regularly do CTRL-F to find "Epstein" on that site. Usually results in some TINY PRINT story about a probe continuing... until yesterday when in big font they announced triumphantly that the Clintons are being subpoena'd .... -
Is Poilievre screwing up again?
Michael Hardner replied to Barquentine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Polls still provide objective measure of "public" opinions. If not, then I won't accept someone telling me what I think - either as an individual or within my neighbourhood, city, province or Dominion. Googled it: https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/15/politics/fact-check-canadian-protests-polls-trudeau-support-oppose-truckers-mandates In fact, poll after poll – including the very poll Ungar-Sargon was referencing – has shown that most Canadians oppose the protests and support both vaccination mandates and various restrictions intended to limit the spread of the virus. -
Poilievre? Look at Mamdani

What are you talking about? He's talking about our new economic reality. He doesn't have a lot of Rosy answers, but he is doing this. I'm not defending his vision, or anything else about him but your critique... seems off. And he's marginalizing Poilievre again by making friends with Doug Ford. Okay, this is what I take from this: I'm not on ignore yet. I came in hot. I'm sensitive and objective, so I can see that could have been true. If so I apologize, but I don't have the time to scroll up and look for the post. No backpedaling, you reading my mind and ascribing opinions to me is a regular pet peeve of mine with you. So I add that on top of everything else You acknowledge that you were wrong about my opinion on the punishment. That's a good thing. My opinion on the convoy is not as simple as you stated here. If my opinions are colored by their personas, then surely you must admit you're in the same boat as me. Just facing a different way. I don't think the people were chuds, I have friends who were there.. close friends. I will admit they went for the party. The paragraph where you put together a cartoon outline opf me is not accurate. For you to say I'm manipulating you, there would have to be some outcome other than just us talking. Since I can't get anything else from you other than a response to my ideas, how can you say I'm manipulating you any more than your manipulating me? I find that to be an odd accusation It's okay Graham. I do accept that I'm an annoying person to more than just you. You should post on here so you enjoy yourself. I did like posting to you for the odd time because you ascribe to a different perspective than me, far different, and yet you were able to accept some of my ideas some of the time. That's the commonality that I hope for on these boards with everyone else. I don't think it's possible with most people but we did do it from time to time and for that I'm grateful. Okay... Ignore away, I won't hold it against you. And I'm sorry if I was insulting. -

It's been reported that Epstein attended Trump's 1993 wedding. The Clintons and Les Moonves went to the one after that, along with a bunch of the swamp... https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story/news/2024/06/19/melania-trump-wedding-anniversary-celebrities-attended-florida-mar-lago-cost/74120180007/ -

So... I take it from all this that you realize you were wrong to put opinions on me ? Opinions that turned out to be wrong ? And that aggravated you ? I'll take my answer off the air. ❤️ Sayanora my friend, it was nice chatting with you at times. -

1. You prove my point in the last post. I don't think I have ever engaged in an indigenous person on here so why would you know that. It's pure arrogance the way you talk to me... looking down your nose at my supposed flaws worse than any PC liberal on here would. 2. Imagine... just imagine... if you were wrong on this. What would it feel like ? Would it "rock your world" ? You forget that we have had exchanges where I have changed my view and listened to your POV. But it harshes your "buzz" of talking to real people vs your fantasy stereotypes. Seriously frustrating for me, given the respect and care I have taken in our conversations on CPE. 3. Yes, I am p!ssed off at your continual arrogance and telling me what I think. 4. Holding up a mirror to you here... Yeah, if you care (since you haven't heard yet) I do think that the punishment proposed is too harsh. Please sit down after you read that in case you lose consciousness. -

1. I'd say so, yes. Why ? Do you think otherwise ? If so, that's pretty telling given I haven't even answered. 2. At best, we would get into a semantic argument on this and yet it's still not worth me having to repeat my past assertions which you have not absorbed. 3. And... here it goes with the scenario where you tell me what I think. So tiresome, Graham.. really... 4. Uh huh... (yawns) 5. See #3, then #4 above. Let's not and say we did... -

It's easier to feed people back their beliefs than to lead them through difficult matters. -
There are little sparkles of realization happening. Odd posts on Reddit/YouTube about MAGA voters, small business, who rely on imports seeing their business plan evaporate. Unlike a dirty Chud, I won't try to project my anecdotal observations into a wider trend. I'll look to PEW research and Nate Silver for the difficult statistics. ( https://www.natesilver.net/p/trump-approval-ratings-nate-silver-bulletin ) Here's another example for amusements. The host, speaking, points out that tariffs will be paid by Americans. Note the co-hosts, not speaking, and their reactions - akin to a gorilla being handed an iPhone...
