Liberal Khan to cross floor to Tory backbench
mikedavid00 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
He also seems to have a hard time speaking to the 'coloured people'. Dion is a segregated, French, elitist. A complete Quebecer in every sense of the word. Supposedly everyone around him is French and he's known to only speak French the majority of the time in meetings and such. Those who can't speak French don't participate and feel uncomfortable. Also I heard the Rona Ambrose in meetings didn't have her papers together or her facts straight. -

That's false actually. The point of the parlimentary system, sentate in the US, etc. is so this sort of thing can happen. All parties are supposed to work together. Of course, this is age old idealism that is historical, not a reality in todays world of opertunism so it's time to change the system to a US based one. We aren't Europe. -
In *YOUR* opinion. Again, *YOUR* opinion. You do not have the right to dictate this upon us the people. The people need facts that they are not getting. Why? Because they are not allowed to vote on propositions. "Proposition 87. Alternative Energy. Research, Production, Incentives. Tax on California Oil Producers -- Fail: 3,372,394 / 45.3% Yes votes ...... 4,079,106 / 54.7% No votes Should California establish a $4 billion Clean Alternative Energy Program to reduce California's oil and gasoline consumption by 25 percent through incentives for alternative energy, education, and training? PEOPLE VOTED NO ONCE THEY WERE EDUCATED ON THE FACTS: The underlaying moral to the story is that the PEOPLE make the descisions. Not the dictator, not the CBC, the PEOPLE decide. I Wish I could leave this country. I don't belong here.

He supposedly owns a Mazda dealership in Toronto. He's a businessman. He was with Liberals for power. Nothing more. The CPC has power. Now he's with them. It's typical. -

If Canadians cannot do the same, then why should immigrants be able to? You are laughable. That statement you made is like a quote out of the CBC. They don't find jobs in their fields because THERE ARE NO JOBS! -

I support work permits. The common immigrant vote does not. Immigrants already know that they are here not to work, but to enjoy free benefits within their own community. If they were here to work, they would have all moved to Calgary. They have not. There is a reason for this. They know that the working tax payers (conservatives) do not support them coming here becuase they have to pay for them. Immigrants are around my every day life and I am very close them. I have Christian Lebanese heritage. I've been around immigrants all my life and were raised by them. I should know them pretty well. They are not here to work and help out Canada. They are mostly here becuase Canada is the only country that will let them in. End of story. Immigrants help in other countries, just not in Canada due to our joke of a policy. And no, I do not believe at this point in time that people of Islamic faith should be allowed enterance into Canada at all due to security reasons. But your in the west where you take 4% of the immigrants. So what do you really know on the issue? The articles you read from newspapers by elites that also have no clue. I am in the trenches here in my city and and grown up around this. People come here to better their lives at the expense of ours. It's that simple. We don't need to stop immigration, we just need a 'policy'. We need to stop people coming in here aimlessly to 'live'. We need workers.. Kind of like how the Mexicans are in the US. -

LOL!! HAHAHA!! -
It's sad to see that the Liberals and CBC have the power to brainwash the public this way when we have our own dying on hosptial waiting lists. When we've lost 18,000 full time jobs in the last 2 months. It's really sad we have a gov't funded agenda driven media that shoves this down out throats. If Canadians actually had a say, they would learn to think for themselves and have independant though. Canada has *no* significant effect on global warming (fact). Canada is a clean and green country (fact). There are far more serious prioririties that we should be focusing on. But eh, the CBC and Dion dictates those priorities. Regardless, the environment will not effect the outcome of the election.

I agree. And this is why I believe we should pull out. We should also stop letting those people into Canada. The 3rd most immigrants to Canada come from Pakistan. We *will* see some major problems if we don't remedy this. -

Bingo. I'll even put out that he will never get a hold of his party and will be over thrown by his own party. Dion is not respected by his party IMO. Maybe the French wing but that's it. He's a failed leader as I predicted he would be and it's beginning to show. He has no clue about Canada. He's a completely segregated Quebecer. A liberal idealist who has no clue. -

"The poll gave the Liberals 40 per cent support in Ontario, compared with 35 per cent for the Conservatives" I want to see what the next poll is like and see if Wajid Khan affected anything. I must say, I am very suprised to see Layton and the NDP heading down in the polls.. Maybe it's because he's been known to work with Harper or epopel are clueing in that Layton cannot offer anyone real representation. -

The Focus obviously... maybe the Fusion... maybe the Ranger. Nope. The Ranger is the highest profit margin of those vehicles you listed. There's one vehicle you probably wont get. But there's one ifyou think a bit more you'll say 'of course, it's...' -

I can easily prove you wrong on this. But it's Friday night, I'm tipsy, and playing my hacked Xbox 360. I have 6 games downloaded already and more on the way. Again, you are wrong on this. Immigration in OTHER countries don't depress wages becuase they have 'immigration policy'. They don't let educated people with degrees just wander into their countries and look for work. Most will not get the good jobs, but many will at the cost of a Canadian. Myself, my fiance, and my brother have all had this happen to us on more than one occasian and I've whitnessed it several times. When you get 60 people applying for one job, you are going to pick the people with the best paper credentials. Some will hire Canadians, most will go for the credentials. I choose to invest in my fellow young Canadians and help them live their dreams, not someone who keeps two passports and doesn't speak English. I'm not going to help him get his dreams. Yeah. The immigrants from the 3rd world do spell better than me. I've worked for Department of National Defense (got paid to do nothing. white collar welfare), HP, Microsoft, Time Warner, and worked at Marketing company who handles the promotions for Ford. The 'Save the 1% GST Event" - we did that. The "Friends and family pricing promotion" - we did that. Not only this, I was the one who ran analasys on all those promotions. I can tell you how much Ford makes off each vehicle and how their promotions worked. I can't tell that information because it's confidential. I can say that ford loses money off 2 of it's vehicles. This is very confidential info so I can't say which ones. When I was at Microsoft, I posted once to a forum about immigration and islam and stuff. This was around the time of the London bombings. It didn't say anything that bad from what I remember. I just said that it's natural with our immigration policy that we will see low quality poeple from these countries enter Canada. (note I proved myself right when they arrested the 18 terrorists). So this guy took my IP (because I posted it from work computer), linked it back to Microsoft, and then sent an email to my employer. Thank goodness it was a large organization and it could never get traced back to me. But people will get SO OFFENDED when you dare speak of immigration or immigrants. They are so self hating, self loathing. They want to see Canadians dying on waiting lists. This makes them feel good. They just can't stand to see a young Canadian brother or sister do well in life. They want to see the rest of the world do well and come here to do well for themselves at our expense. This makes them happy inside. Guess you are like this also. Oh well, I don't understand where this mentality comes from> it's self destructive and self hating. It's unhealthy. Where did our pride as a people ever go? Or should I say, when? -
I have said that Paul Martin was a very good finance minister. Not searching through the archives for it though... I can legitmately say that I do not have 1 single positive thing to say about Trudeau. Not one thing.
-
That's impossible. Every gov't has done something good. The CPC more than any other new gov't in 11 months. If you can't admit to the good things they have done, you're just being biased and partisan. The 1% GST cut was a good thing. Everyone agrees. Why don't you just admit it? I've actually not heard one person call up the radio station and say negative things about harper. The ONLY time I heard negative things was during.. God.. I hate thinking of this.. The damn Lebannon fiasco. I wish that never happened and I hate all 50,000 of the Canadian document holding people in Lebannon. This caused the CPC to tank in polls. I remember previous the headlines where 'If there were to be an election tommorow, the Conservatives would win a majority'. I can't believe some international issue over welfare/healthcare international leeches ruined this gov't in the polling.

We're not Europe though. We are a work based, North American society with 1 week vacation a year and 5 sick days. Canada has more in common with the US then we do with Norway, Sweden, or Italy. I feel we should give gov't back to the people and let the provinces govern their own affairs. But that would be more American if anything. America has the greatest level of democrocy in the world. Also the greatest amount of freedom in the world where you can make your dreams come true. -
CBC to air comedy "Little Mosque On The Prairie"

I agree. I've encountered reverse racism on numerous occasions. Of course, giving people special privleges due to their skin color only encourages racsism. I agree. It's equality - something which Canada does not support. I don't have a problem with Islam. I have a problem with peoples interpertation with Islam. In Islam, it is permissible and encouraged to beat your wife if she missbehaves. It also states that Islamic land may not be occupied. The Quaran tells you directly how to live life. It's not a very grey, philisophical book as other religions may be. It's pretty black and white in its teachings. I've seen plenty. It's whether it actually gets followed or not. In the Bible an 'eye for an eye' is an example. It's a story that you learn a lesson from. The Quaran is not writen this way. It litteraly gives you step by step direction. And Islam has not moved past this. I don't think that it has been a serious problem in other religions. We arrested 18 terrorists trying to purchase meterials to make a bomb in order to carry out Islamic Jihad in Canada. I would consider this concerning. -
I just LOVE the way how this CBC article ends. It, or course.. suprise suprise... BURY'S THE CPC! LOL!! ""I think [Liberal Leader] Stéphane Dion has clearly said he's very concerned about the issue, but people aren't going to look at what you say. They're going to look at what you do, and the Liberals' record on this is pretty bad." (NOW HERE WE GO WITH THE CAMPAIGN AD) Dion, in a separate Newsworld interview, (WHAT THE *^&$*&) said his own emphasis on environmental policy may have helped to push Harper to change his tone on global warming. The prime minister "received a wakeup call, maybe from me, but from all Canadians," but it remains to be seen how serious he is about it, the Liberal leader said. "It will not be difficult to do more than he did last year. Last year, he cut 90 per cent of the programs for environment and climate change. Last year, he embarrassed the country with his approach regarding Kyoto on the international stage. "So I hope we will see some improvement, even though it will stay far from what we really need to do … and if he is willing to improve even a bit what he did last year, this will be very positive."

Heheh. Yeah I totally agree. I do find this move overall positive for the CPC which I support. But in the end, I must say that this does not constitute the will of the people and is non democratic. See folks, this is called being impartial and non-partisan. We need serious electoral reform. I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon until we unionize with the US which is what we need to do in order to compete with Europe. Either way, it's going to happen. I just want them to hurry it up. -

While this is true, it's not reality anymore. We do not live in Europe where this exists. In Canada, we have learned how to exploit our age old parlimentary system to gain power. This is not prevelant in the US. Parliment works if our polticians act in valor and honour to govern for the people. This is no longer the case in Canada since Tredeau messed up the country. I said that they have more than average interest in self gain than Canadians. After all, they DID leave their country to come here didn't they? I know plenty in India that would never leave their countries because it's there 'home'. They love it there, are proud, and would never leave. Same with Korea. Then there are a small sect of people who are interested in self gain. Those people file applications to come to Canada. My old friend got married to a girl from India a couple years back. The family had an easy way into Canada. Even after visiting they refused to come here becuase India is there 'home'. They have a pride for their country and love living there. When people leave from Asia or Korea they are considered 'traitors'. Same with any other country. I would wager that in 3rd world countries (where we get most of its' immigrants), the economy is ever MORE self serving. This isn't just Canada. To certain extents. Some people are more self interested than others. Out of all the Lib's here on the forum, I would say that I am the LEAST self interested of the bunch. I care about my fellow Canadian and it hurts to see them lose jobs to people who arrive from outside the country. Those people have their dreams come true, the Canadian who has graduated, is undermployed, or who would have loved the opertunity now loses his chance. This upsets me. This is why I beat on this drum. Everyone is self serviing. But you seem to be favoring Khan due tot political bias. While I do support the CPC, I do not support a non democratic move from one party to another. Khan is the elected person in MY riding. My immigrant, muslim riding has voted for liberal. Now my riding is CPC. The PEOPLE of streetsville mississauga did not elect the CPC to represent them. Thus, this is non democratic and shows disfunction in our political system. I'm sure Khan will be voted out anyhow providing the Liberals provide a Muslim in place of Khan. Of course, Khan, another Muslim for the Liberals, Iraq, Afganistan, and what Khan was saying on his radio interviews today about international policy is NOT in interest at all to me as a Canadian or Canadians as a whole. His mind is elsewhere in the Islamic world, NOT Canada. I'd actually prefer it if he went back to Pakistan and let someone who represents Canadians be in my choice of riding. Thus, I'm not voting. Why should I? The Liberals are going to win anyway. HOWEVER, I must say that I do strongly support a CPC majority and this is a positive step towards showing immigrants that Dion is 'bad to immigrants'. Unfortunately, the CBC won't report this. "Imam says 'Harper is bad to Immigrants'" - CBC headline that would have been had the tabels been turned. -

mikedavid00 replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Not on my tax dollars. This is there special agenda for their special audience. It's thier business, not the publics. So true. But as a Muslim you must partake in Madessa which ensures brainwashing from the beginning of childhood so I doubt a 1 hr. show will change that. I agree. Islam and bombs on planes are not a laughing matter. Same way people don't make fun of war vet's or Hitler. Some things aren't laughing matters. I agree. It's especially not funny when my tax dollars are funding this. Exactly. She would be killed instantly if she lived in those countries and tried to make this show. The fact that she's mentioning the 'prophet' in a comical light alone will secure her death. I agree. The CBC is in the TV business trying to sell a show based of controversy and also promoting a political agenda. This is not in the interest of Canadians. We need to cut funding to 1/10th of what the CBC currently has so they can focus on core Canadian news and downsize their unionized staff. -

Dion doesn't anderstand immigrants. He's in is far french culture and through that he could push these guys around. Supposedly Khan said that he heard about this through the media and Dion didn't even speak to him about this directly. This is so 'high cast French elite' style of Dion. Dion doesn't understand Canada or immigrants. Khan has been in power 11 months and already he's jumping ship. Harper understand immigrants and their above average oppertunistic nature. It was almost too easy for Harper to get this guy over. Dion just doesn't have the political saavy to deal with these situations. All Dion has is the CBC and life Liberals. The immigrants? We'll see about that next election. Few here know the mindset of immigrants. They will interpret this as 'Dion is bad to immigrants. He doesn't represent us.' Now we have an immigrant, dual citizen of Pakistan in the Conservative party. He won my riding by a large margin. I don't know if he'll get in power again. It depends who he runs against in the Liberal party. This is a VERY positive sign for the CPC and gaining some sort of immigrant credibility. It's the only way the CPC will ever see a majority and this is a positive step. Harper needs to focus on bringing in immigrant sponsored relatives in 3 months. This will win him a majority.
