Stockwell Day touts benefits of global warming
mikedavid00 replied to normanchateau's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Second one just bit the dust, mikedavid. Ignorant jerk! I hope these rational conservatives show up soon, this forum seems so extreme-right, I'm starting to understand why there are barely any liberals. Hehehe.. i love the libs, when they hear things that don't agree with their opinion, they just want to cencor it or put their head in the sand. My argument: You shouldn't let someones view on an ineternation issue affect your vote as a Canadian. BC Chick: I don't like the way harper said it. He should have sounded nicer to both sides. Maybe if he did that I would vote for him. Me: That's a shame you feel so strongly about that incident, and the fact that we give off only 2% of the worlds emissions which is also something that is not important. I think you should rethink your priorities and get more informed. BC Chick: Ignore! What an ignorant right wing jerk! Oh well, poeple will let their emotions lead them and not the truth. -

http://www.fradical.com/Rap_contributes_to...to_violence.htm " In fact, the word "Jamaica" can't be found in any of these penetrating analyses, even though police will tell you off the record that 80 per cent or more of the city's gun crime is Jamaican-related." -
What about JIHADISTAN. and their supporters. They are here too. It's in the mosques and the kids being born here even. Instead of going into goth which would be considred a white rebellion, these kids are going into jihad like it's cool. on youtube.com on one of the video's these pakistani punks were leaving feedback and a race war broke out. The common rebuttle from the pakistani's was 'we flew the planes into the towers' blah blah. Like it's some kind of great thing. there's also a sense that they are taking over the world. they stick so close to their community that they thinkk litterly everyone is muslim. I was carpooling on the way to work and this muslim guy was reading the Toronto star and it said that vegetable sales were down in Cnaada. He actually attributed that to so many muslims being in Canada becuase they don't each much veggies. any italian girl in the mall would be a fair skin pakistani. they really think that they have a majority around them.

That's already been proven 2 years back. It was something like 93% of alll the gun murders in Toronto were from Blacks of mostly caribean descent. -
Yeah I saw that poll a couple days back. My favorite part is: "Only 21 per cent said Dion doesn't speak English well enough to be prime minister." Only 21% Shouldn't it be 0% if we are going to elect our priminister in an English speaking country?

Harper's foreign and social policy vs. fiscal

And don't foget Ignatieff calling Islreal's defence 'war crimes'. -
Christmas Wish It's that time of year again, Ya know, if I had just one wish this Christmas, it would be for all the children, all over the world, to join hands and sing in harmony. But if I could have just 2 wishes this Christmas, it would be for Arar and his wife to be detained, and then deported immediately out of Canada while I stand at the air-port waiving them goodbye. And if I could have just 3 wishes this Christmas, it would would be to take pierre trudeaus's charter of rights and rip it in half while the CBC records all this, then announce that the CBC will no longer be funded by tax dollars so they better stop the camera's from rolling. And if I could have a final wish, it would be to partition Canada. The Libs can get their own province. The libs that want recognition of foriegn credentials, more immigrants, and higher taxes. They would get their wish. They can let in 300,000 people a year, be staffed with foreign credentials, and they can pay 75% of their income for tax. When they lose their jobs, homes, and lives, they won't be allowed back into Canada becuase it's THESE SAME PEOPLE THAT ARE RUINING THE COUNTRY! Heheh..

Harper's foreign and social policy vs. fiscal
mikedavid00 replied to BC_chick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
But is him throwing an additional statement or two in an international issue is THAT important to you?? Who cares! We side with peace, we side with Isreal on that particular war. Isreal has made mistakes and wrong doings, but that had nothing to do with that particular incident. Isreal was agressively attacked. Harper has done several things I don't approve of. I feel he's not being harsh enough in cutting gov't waste, but he is trying to get re-elected. I still accept him and his short comings. He's also gained a lot weight. -

I agree. Also, many Canadians died on 9-11. HELL NO! I don't want them getting their mitts on our money. Dion actually wants to send our money out of the country. Maybe it's his Univeristy prof intellect. -
Harper's foreign and social policy vs. fiscal
mikedavid00 replied to BC_chick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And so does Isreal. Isreal was attacked by missiles so it has the right to defend itself. It's pretty simple who we should be siding with. As for not taking sides, I don't feel it's a positive for world development to not take sides. Imagine if everyone was impartial and didn't take sides. We'd probably all be speaking German right now if we didn't take sides and fight against wrong. Hezbolla on their TV station have a kids show where they have a game where kids trying to assemble a dissassembled AK-47 while blind-folded. Then we have a woman in Montreal saying 'Hezbolla is our protector' during a press conference. Right here on Canadian soil becuae her family died while living in his home country. I don't feel sorry for her. Yes she doesn't know what I meant. Most of the Canadian public is uninformed. They don't know how many poeple come into Canada each month, they don't understand the function of the economy, our national expendatures, and the climate of our country. The reason why is becuase they don't vote regularaly and have a say on policy so keep themselves out of the loop. The gov't is a dictatoriship that funds a left leaning organization called the CBC who's job is to further brainwash the people. Private media cannot compete with the CBC so we don't have a lot of media. Thus there's little choice. I completley agree. I felt all the answers to our problems was just to tax people a little bit more. Traffic? Just put tolls on the roads and tax poeple. Environment? Just tax businesses if they don't comply. Hospitals busy? Just make sure everyone pays fees. Hospital needs more fuding? When I was young, I had this perfect idea of the gov't building buildings per 10,000 people of population and 10% of the area could be hired by gov't. All people would have to do is pay.. i can't remember, I had the math worked out and figured that this would decrease employment by 5% and solve all our problems. But I was a dumb kid. I was uninformed. I never read into stuff. I just heard headlines and thought my simple could figure out all the solutions to our problems. I see some here with that same mentatlity to be honest. Way out there wacky lib ideas. I grew up and learned some hard knocks of life. Hard knocks of living in Canada. Met people from all over parts of the world and lived about. I researched for years and read into things myself. The media in Canada is NOT here to help inform people of facts. Kyoto is a huge deal. Canada puts out 2% of emmisions. Not ONE media organization stops and asks the logical question: "If we only put out 2% of emissions, we is this being made the #1 priority Mr. Dion". Not once did the media even ask the question. So it's natural to think the worlds going to end if Canada doesn't do something. Most people won't take the time to research stuff on their own. They are like me when I was a teen thinking in abstract ideals and trying to use my un-informed logic to figure stuff out. BC Chick is atleast smart unlike some others. It's such a shame to see it go to waste. Or for her to allow the media to brainwash her into thinking some issues should be important, when they really aren't. -
Harper's foreign and social policy vs. fiscal
mikedavid00 replied to BC_chick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
He is alive and well in the hearts of Canadians and living in the Liberal party of Canada. I feel bad for the people of Darfur. The gov't and people give to the red cross and unicef to help out the people in Darfur. We are a small, non-supper power, welfare state of a country. We can't solve their problems, and, in no way, shape, or form, should these people be stepping on Canadian soil - victim or not. In the real world you have to take sides. You can't play psycologist when lives are at stake and more importantly use these situations for political votes. Harper doesn't have the Muslim vote. It's gone. It's gone for a reason that does not affect our country in any way. This is un-Canadian. We support those wo support peace. That is Isreal. We should not vote for polititians on his feelings of International conflict. The Islamic vote is extrememly important in Canada if a poltician wants to gain seats, the same cannot be said for the Jewish vote. It was not in Harpers best interest from a vote pandering point of view to support Isreal. But he did. Why? Becuase he governs on behalf of Canada - not political agenda like the Liberals. Harper and everyone with common sense knows that Isreal has not been perfect. Do you expect them to be though under their circumstances? One side is far more wrong than the other in this conflict and we need to take sides in this matter. Not be impartial which is just another way of pandering for votes. Canada should not deal with terrorists. The reason is because it promotes even more terrorism. I am not a person of color. theh gov't determines and tracks visible minorities. I believe it's discrimination that I am not a visible minority. It's against my rights that I not be considered a visible minority when, in my city, I am visible minority. Thus, I should be able to apply for a gov't job under 'visible minority' status so I can get it easier. Same thing. I'm denied my rights for being considere a visible minority. Gays have all the rights legally under a civil union. They just don't get the word 'marriage'. I get all the same rights as a visible minority. I just don't get to be called a 'visible minority'. (wow that was a great parallel) There's got to be a joke in here somewhere. Big deal. India's GDP raises 8% a year or so. But 8% of nothing is still nothing. Over half the people are still hungry, poor, and illiterate. Idealism, not the reality of the situation. The world has never worked together once to make an effort like this happen. It wont work this time. I'm saying we shouldn't make this a priority like China, India, and other places that polute MUCH more than we do. I think 2050 is a good target. Even if we bankrupt ourselves trying to clain the air, it won't matter because we can't control what the other countries do. Not true. Old electric cars fell extrememly short in their distance and recharge times. They also couldn't go fast. Now there is new battery cell technology which allows you to use a regular 240V oven outlet to recharge a full size vehicle that goes 180KM/h which are good highway speeds. It also has 400lbs of torque which is excellent for city driving. On one charge you can go 200KM's which is good enough for city driving. There is also a quickcharger that can charge it in 10 min. take a look. oil lobby's can't control the marketplace like you think. That's a poor argument. It's like saying that the US isn't doing well compared to India just because the GDP is higher in deleloping countries. We may not be doing well per capita, but it's completely irrelavant to the real issue at hand of gloabl warming. We will lose jobs and industry if we try to fight something that isn't important in the greater scheme of things. There was an article saying that we made 5% but it seems no one has the numbers down because it doesn't matter in the long run. When we have our own citizens dying on waiting lists, major full time job losses, a growing welfare state, and 300,000 people wandering into our country each year, an abstarct ideological debated issue involving the world or Islamic issue should not be at the forefront of any Canadians vote. Canada cannot, and never will, be able to control the worlds C02 emmisions. Makes me wonder what happened to the 'ice age' global cooling scare in the 1980's. That's dandy. But Canada is not a power broker country Like the US. We're not that rich, not that populous, have a poor quality of life, and we are an international welfare state for the world to come to and use our services. That's all Canada is on the world stage. We are NOT a power broker and have about NO impact on the atmosphere, C02 levels, the Sun, the moon, the stars or what any other country wants to do. These are the facts of the matter, not my opinion. If we should lessen C02 because it makes a small sect of our citizens feel good about ourselves, that's fine. Lets do that. But lets not bankrupt ourselves in doing it. It will be slowely, over time, that this will happen. Dion and his dog certainly aren't going to fix the worlds problems. Stereotyping are one of the fun things in life. It's factual that immigrants support Liberal. How do you think they got their seats last election? The Liberal party is an Immigrant\Quebec special interest party that do not govern on behalf of the people. (factual) The CPC... well.. they try to goven on behalf of the people but have also pandered to special interest also. but to a *much* lesser extant than the Liberals. Becuase we weren't a 'welfare state' at the time. Canada was open market/military country. See some old Liberal speeches from back in the day and you'll hear stuff that will make you cringe that the Liberal party of Canada could be saying "And us fellow Canadians as men under God, shall fight in hills, fight in the trenches, and we shall never stop until we rest on the flag of the maple leaf". That's the old Liberal party. A dumb-*ss dictator named Trudeua basically turned our country into a welfare state. Trudeau is directly responsible for the Canadian who died today waiting for a transplant or waiting for a surgey. Not true. Areas like Brampton-Springdale were always Conservative strongholds and moved to Liberal after the immigrant population grew high enough to ensure victory. This happend 1993. The CPC isn't my party. The Reform party was. But I do support the CPC because I don't want Dion and his half-retarded, ideoligy, job killing, idiotic ideals ruining our country further than it already is. What budget slashes? And why is an international issue of poeple who are not Canadians using BILLIONS of our tax dollars to come here have anything to do with whether or not we support our prime-minster. Ah yes, immigrants and non-Canadians complained that there wasn't sandwiches and finger foods on the ship ride back. The CBC did their absolute BEST to bury harper, and I whitnessed him go down in poll after poll. Immigrants are mostly good people. I just feel that they should only be comign to canada on temporary work permits and sent back home when they expire. (kind of like how every other country in the world does it). Well it's the truth. They aren't integrating and pretending they have not left their home country. It's a bit disturbing teh level of utter rascism that is present with the second gen people in surrey. I remember my ex gf from Vancouver who was in Otttawa on a co-op "oh my grandmather wouldn't like you, you can't speak Hindi and your white". "I don't like Ottawa, there's too many white people here". Heheh.. that girl also had a TV spot on a local Vancouver show called Zindagi. Also co-president of the Comp-Sci studnet association of UBC. ..wonder what happened to her. -

That's not true. Not only that, they are increasing settlment funding some $300M I believe. -
No. That is an unfactual statement that you just made up or heard from someone at work. I'm ingoring the rest of your post.

Yeah I comletely agree. You can't blame Canadians for feelign that way becuase our media and Liberal leaders dictate to the people what to think. People are afraid of the unknown, they aren't educated. The only way people will get educated is if they were forced to 'vote' on bringing in private healtchare and deescision was left to the people. I read through the paper by Nadeem Esmail. He seems to be missing the crux of the arguemnt. Maybe there is nothing wrong with our healtcare system, it's just that there are too many people using it. He over complicates the issue. Everyone knows it's not an issue with spending. There are simply too many people coming in, too fast, to use the system and our healthcare system is not able to expand to the rate of people wandering into Canada each year. Thus, it's bankrupting. Healtchare then gets rashioned where it's needed most which is Vancouver, Montreal, and the GTA.

Charges laid in Boxing Day shooting

These kids were born here, or brought here at an early eage. Some get adopted as teens. It's a mix. Man aren't even teens. Either way, the parent's are in poverty, single mothers, kids, eating away our social system. I don't think it's old rivals though. We've had these problems of poverty since the beginning of time, it's the natre of people that are coming here. If they have a murden gun culture back home, it's going to come here. One thing is for sure, this community is not here in Canada to work. They have not been sponsored in by a company to be here. If we had a normal immigration system, this wouldn't be a problem. -

Lol.. that would be a dream come true for me.. unfortunately, it's too un politically correct and won't happen. If we allowed people in on worker permits only, you would see the end of Jamaicans entering into Canada. I was reading a paper from the frasier instatute with recommendations on our immigration crisis. It basically attributes all our problems we're experiencing to immigration. He suggests moving to a worker permit system and expelling people after their permit expires. This was presented to Monte Soleberg for recommendation to fix out immigration crisis. To be perfectly honest, I knew that the immigratoin we're seing today was draining us, but I could not actually prove it. This reports prove it. And I actually underestimated the problem. It's much bigger than I realized. It's called "Immigration and the Welfare State in Canada: Growing Conflicts, Constructive Solutions" sept 2005. "The paper proposes the creation of a new immigrant selection process that would reduce the burden on Canadian taxpayers and reduce the hardships imposed on immigrants who cannot find employment to which their education qualifies them." Meanwhile, we have ignatieff wanting even more immigrants by allowing them to come over by web applications. He's a fcking retard and I hope he never gets in power. -
They finished second in 40 Quebec ridings in January. Lots of potential options there. A strong environment minister touting a solid new environmental plan and an election timed to minimize potential bad news from Aghanistan. There is the possibility to pick up ground... Yeah I agree. I hopefully see a majoirty coming our way. Maybe he should call an election when the timing is good. I know he doesn't believe in calling early elections, but what if another Lebanon crisis happens where the media and cbc are trying their best to bury harper. It worked the first time around.. Let's see what happens.
-
Yes. That particular riding had an error because it was the VERY rare riding whee the winner did won with less than 50% of the vote. It was also won by 250. Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't do each one manually but used formulas. I had 2000 lines that I had narrow down to that. So I removed it becasue your right. Vote will most likely stay in NPD, or Liberal.

10% of the country of Jamaica are living in the GTA. (yes, you read that right) Jamaica has a murder rate of 1,600 a year. If we are importing the country of Jamaica into Canada, this sort of thing is naturally going to happen. -
Pakistan is Canada's third largest immigrant group. Just thought you should know.

Are you kidding? I'm not suggesting it's the only problem. Yes there are 5 white collar welfare jobs that back each Dr. on staff. Yes there are inefficiencies on how we run the system, yes there is an elitism problem at the medical schools right now. I'm aware of that. But there's no denying that over 20 years of people using our hostpitals, who have NOT paid into it, it will catch up and bankrupt our system. YES. That's my point! The very same thing is happening here. People are coming into the country and using a system that they have not paid into so it's bound to eventually fail over the long term. Oh wow this article is a must read, it almost mirrors everything that is happening here at home. I would say they are only at the beginning stages of what is happening here. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,150750,00.html "But some critics say the taxpayers can't be the HMO to the world. Last year, Los Angeles County spent $340 million to treat the uninsured; that's roughly $1,000 for every taxpayer."

True, but personally I like to measure the quality of country by the material luxuries and living space the average person has access to. I find the PPP is the closest. China can look very rich by many people standards, or it can look very poor depending on how you look at it. I wouldn't recommend non-english speaking contries. Plus, these countries are also ver difficult to get into. You would need to come on a work permit. I wouldn't recommend either country to be honest. Especially UAE. I had friends there. Dubai is an arabic speaking city that is fairly small with not much to do at all from what I hear. And mostly, you will a lot of this in dubai. and also this. You can't believe those economists. Firstly they all disagree with each other, secondly, it's these same economists that said Vancouver was the best city in the world. They said that Quebec city was the best place in Canada to do business. I mean, come on. Any city where you can die waiting for a surgery is should not even be in the running. Years back we had the same argument that went on for weeks. There is a small sect of Americans that think Canadad is better than the US believe it or not. That's what started the argument. I was like whoah!! hold on there bud. Others started to say that Sweden and Norway and Dubai was better. Dubai I really, really recommend against unless you are a Muslim and speak Arabic. Norway is nice, but they speak their own language. It might be very difficult to get in outside the EU. Ireland? Last I heard 2 years back they were going through an absolute boom with an almost 0 unemployment rate. In 2005 They let in 50,000 people. more than half were from the EU and UK. only 9k were accepted from other parts of the world so I don't know how difficult it would be to get in. Also, interesting facts about Norway: "In 2003, Norway set a record by offering nearly 600 applicants asylum out of 15,600 applications, an acceptance rate of just under four percent." Again, some of these places are very difficult to enter. The UK, USA, and Australia I would consider to be 'easier' countries for a Canadian to enter.
