Liberal Khan to cross floor to Tory backbench
mikedavid00 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Well muslims called up the radio station angry this morning at Khan for doing this. But they should understand that the reason they are in Canada is to snatch oppertunity for self gain. That's all Khan is interested in. When I heard that Khan was going to advise Harper I knew instantly what Harper was up to. I dind't think however that Dion was going to push Khan out the way he did. I highly recommend people listen to http://640toronto.com/shared/player/?id=cfmjam right now for the real inside scoop. i'll post more on this later. -
Another Canadian loses job to needless immigrant
mikedavid00 replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
9 of 10 jobs created in Alberta are part time, low paying jobs (fact). There is no job boom in Alberta for average educated Canadian seeking a career. If there was, there would be tons of employers hiring poeple with no or little experience and paying them a lot. This is not happening in Alberta. I've already proved this a couple weeks back on another thread. -
Another Canadian loses job to needless immigrant

Your missing the bigger, greater picture of the whole post. -
Here's an example of why Canadians are underemployed and stuggling to survive. This is a rare, precious full time job in Winnipeg that was given to a non-Canadian becuase of his 'credentials'. Any grad could have done this job. But no, since we have such a high supply of foreign educated in Canada, Canadians are loose jobs to these people on a daily basis when they are not needed here. In the US, you have to PROVE that you were not able to hire an American to do the work. Here in Canada, we just let anyone in which saturates our job market. Thus, Canadians who are graduated and in need of experience lose out to people who have 'higher credentials'. This causes wage depression and underemployment. It also devalues education. The below is an epedimic problem in Canada. From internal email: Memorandum To All Canadian Employees: <name hidding> will join us, on February 1, 2007, as a <position hidding. Sorry. too many funny poeple on this forum with issues>, based in Winnipeg, and reporting to <name hidding> . <name hidding> obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at The University of Buenos Aires and a Master's degree in biomedical engineering at Favaloro University, and has spent the past fifteen years in careers that include marketing, project management, applications, and field service. Please welcome <name hidding> to the <name hidding> team. Regards, --- We do it to ourselves folks!

Was it drugs? Fraud? A sexual offense, perhaps? Good call Fig. The US has more immigration issues than we could ever dream of. Haven't you ever been to Cali? And ya, if you have a job lined up in the states, it's actually quite reasonable to move there. It's a destination I'm considering. I would disagree. The mexican's don't create even close the wage depression, social disruption, and cost in services that the Canadians do. No one does anyhting about the Mexican's because they are actually needed in the US.

That's a bit too idealistic. All Canadian parties in recent decades are out for their own power and agenda. It's like saying that Pakistani voters are to blame because they have politicians that lie to them. They are given no choice. People there vote, and no scandals there suprise them. They have come to expect it. Same with Canada. The core factor here is that politicians in Canada hold too much power and voters do not get to have a say on any issues. If voters were allowed to vote on yearly propositions on how tax dollars should be spent and other importants laws, then I garuntee there would be a 10x increase in forums and posters. The UK is also a dictator style of gov't, but they still act upon valor and integrity for the British citizens and do not pander for votes the way Canada has done since Trudeau. Blair atleast admitted that multiculturalism isn't working. This is on behalf of the good of Britan. If he wanted to pander and please, he would have made no comments. Keep in mind that Canada is North American, not European. Thus we're seing corruption and abuse of power at our political levels becuase the valor and dignitiy is long gone from out gov't since Pierre Trudeau messed up our country. Regardless, there is a larger proportian of 'involved' people in the US. Because they don't get to take an active role like Americans do. Unlike Europe, we are past the stage that we can 'trust' what big brother is doing above us. We now have to take power back to the poeple. This is living in North American work-based society. I'm sure poeple have been saying that about the young generation since the beginning of time. Kids have poltiical viewpoints and will always strive for control. If anything, it's our Universities that are not promoting independant thought and research. I'm guilty of this. To be honest, they don't vote because they don't have to. They won't vote if they don't have a say in hour our taxes and laws are run. Poltiicans should be governing, not dicatating. If they dictate, people will just accept the dictatorship (myself included) and not vote. I do not vote. You can go into idealsisms that solve nothing, or the reality of the situation that we need serious gov't reform and manditory voting. That's becuase nohting gets accomplished. This forum is just for entertainment. Our lobby goups in Canada also accomplish nothing. The CBC and Toronto Star are litterly the two only organiziations that are able to shape laws and legislation in Canada. That's part of the problem. We don't need a celebrity. We don't need a Fidel Castro or Kim Jeong Ill to play big brother dictator to us. We need somoene who governs our state for the benefit of the poeple. We've got to let go of thinking 'leaders' are the solution to Canada's problems. They are not the solutions. We are the solution. We are unbiased, impartial, and want whats best for us. Dictators want what's best for them. Now we're in 7th place and about to lose G8 status for this very reason. I agree. And that is the last party in Canada I ever have, or ever will probably support. They were accused of being racist and every other name in the book. But you know, they weren't there for their own agenda, they were there to fix Canada's serious probablems for the people. This is what I call being 'progressive'. If they do, they will be labelled as racist and lose votes. It's the immigrant vote that will secure them a majority gov't. Thus, they are litterly forced to pander to these people. Again, this is NOT in the best interest and welfar of Canadians when a gov't start to behave like this. This is why we have a seriously corrupt and broken polticial system. We are not in Europe. It's time to let go. I fully agree. This is why I support no parties and don't vote. But don't blame *me* for the fact that the CPC is doing this. Don't even blame the CPC. You can only blame our political system. If anyone was to blame it was Trudeau who screwed up our country and turned it into minority voting blocks to secure power. But they need the Quebec votes, thus, it has to be done in order to cator to another minority group in Canada. Don't you see what is happening? We've already lost poltiical power in this country. It's gone now. over 20% of Canadians are not even born here. Almost 50% of Canada doesn't even speak English. The country has been shaped into minority groups to keep a single political party in power. thus, if you want sucsess in politics, you MUST cator to these grouups. The only thing that will change this is to give gov't back to the poeple, give more power to the provinces, and stop letting the feds dictate which means DRASTICALLY reducing it's powers. We also need to have manditory voting in order to get people involved. This is what has to happen or we'll be a second world couontry in 10 years. Well the environment is more importatnt becuase Stephan Dion and the CBC say so. You can't really blame the poeple OR the parties at this stage. It really isn't there fault. The Reform party would have one hands down if you could have just turned the clock back 20 years. But the climate in Canada was already corrupted by muticulturalism (Libearl voting ploy) and the CBC's power to abuse. Arar is not just an isolated incedent. It's a much, much bigger symbol of where our country is going. And to be honest, our political climate is beginning to shape into a typical, corrupt, 2/3rd world style of dictatorship where the public is entitled to nothing, and they are entitled to everything. A system where public tax dollars are looted and money is passed around in envelopes and given to friends and relatives. Oh yeah.. that already happened...

I found Treudau an his wife's escapades to be absolutely disgusting and an emberessment on our country. And our next Priminster, Truedae jr, girlfriend today gave birth to their baby on Montreal out of wedlock in typical montreal fashion. He 'plans' on getting married this summer.

Do you think that possibly there are reasons and truth to why it should be 2050? If you attack business over GHG emmisions too fast, you are going to cost Canadian jobs and hurt our economy. The last thing we need is an accelerated loss to the full time jobs that we are already seing. Also, this should not in any way, shape, or form burden the tax payer. Thus, a long term goal is acceptable with steady benchmarks along the way.
-
No doubt you have a source to back up this claim? I never said it was a 'fact'. Just a personal opinion.
-
Thanks! (others take note of his above comment) Yes they have. The majority of voters vote on the economy and healtchare. Healtchare actually was polled as voters #1 issue (fact). Stephan Dion in typical dictatorship style of the Liberal party is ruling due to his personal agenda, not on behalf of Canadians. The difference is, when Dion from the Liberal party says that something is important, then the CBC will make it important and it will become prophacy. Imagine the tables were turned and the CPC leadership was won by Harper and Harper said the environment was important. No one would care of listen. There probably wouldn't even by a headline. They have continually tried to talk about the environment on talk radio. People just don't phone in, they aren't interested becuase we have far more greater problems then GHG emmisions. This is all Dions agenda becuase, suprise, he was the environment minsiter. Maybe he should think outside the box and listen to what voters think is important, rather than what he thinks is important.

You sound exactly like my old muslim co-workers. You don't understand the issue, you just put labels on everything that sound good. Of course, you're not a muslim right?
-
Any consulting based sevice is like this. From a home contractor, to a consultant, to anything else. They will always try to lie in order to get your money. I do not like to deal with these poeplep for the reason that it's just standard they will take you money. The Doctors are raping the system. But you're talking about $40 per visit. The surgeries are set pay. It's not this that is bankrupting our system.
-
Because the CBC told you it's important? We make 2% of green house gasses. Canada is a vast, clean land and is not even considered a major poluter. "Canada can't do much in fixing global warming, but we can destroy our economy in a hurry" - my favorite quote on the topic from geoffery.
-
No. Kyoto is not working and is a bad idea. It's a bad solution that cost tax payers money to send away. This is not helping the average Canadian. Canada cannot get another country to do anything. We are not a power broker country. They will make their own descisions. Canada did not join in the Iraq war, we don't need to join in on Kyoto. Canada puts out 2% of the worlds emissions, thus, I really could care less about Kyoto or GHG's from Canada. That's up to the poluting countries/power broker countries to deal with - not Canada. Over the long term, I think we should reduce our emission. Thus, 2050. That number wasn't pulled out of thin air. It was there because it was reasonable and woulnd't affect the tax payer or our economy. Canada is now 7th place in GDP I believe? We aren't a major player anymore and cannot afford to waste our time and tax dollars and petty idealisms. Let the UK and US take part in these things. Certainly not Canada.
-
No. The issue has never been hot until Dion and the CBC worked together to make this a hot issue after the leadership race. Polls of any kind state that the environment is not a hot issue (fact), but rather warm (pun intended). Canada emits 2% of GHG's (fact). Thus, we do not play a significant role in this issue (fact). Any rebuttle to this is idealistic and anecdotal. I feel that our economy is much more important than reducing GHG's. Yes, slowely, over time we should set benchmarks that will hopefully reduce them by 2050, but this should be at no cost to the companies or tax payers. Rona had a great plan, she just fell victim to bad luck, bad timing, and of course, a media organization out to get her party. I feel bad for her. I'm sure she understands though.
-
And they also publish reports that are based on... you guessed it, researched FACTS. A lot of Canadians don't like facts, they like idealism and emotion. To be honest, I still don't know if I'm sold on Global Warming. I haven't researched it enough and have doubts. But I decided not to spend the time required to research this issue becuase I learned a fact on this issue: Canada is responsible for 2% of the worlds GHG. Close book. End of story. I now no longer consider this a Canadian issue, important, or something that we can do something about. Thus, I'm not even goign to spend my time reasearching this issue. Why spend a hundred and one posts on idealisms and emotion on something we as a country cannot change. But eh, Canadians love the idealisms and emotion that this issue can bring out. Ambrose is losing her position over these emotions. Sorry Rona.

Don't you see? Again, that is YOUR OPINION. This is the root of this thread topic. A failure to communicate becuase you let your personal PARTY LINE DRIVEN BIAS affect your posting, logic, and reasoning.
-
Look what he said about me: "Ya well I don't read the neo-nazi-ist crap spewed by MD" So even in the very same thread he's contradicting himself.
-
As I said, I want to fix Canadas problems. That is by far our largest problem in Canada and our welfare state. The Frasier Institute says so. It's not something i drempt up. I have facts to back my opinions. Healthcare is broken for reasons that you have not bothered to research. I have. Oh well. Also, Ricki Bobbi is not presented facts. Few people here rarely if ever present facts and cites. I believe I am the one who has posted the most cites and facts and has done a most research into discussions. Ricki Bobbi will state a proven fact: the gov't should not compete with private enterprise within it's own country. (CBC). His responses: 'Well I think" "I feel" "My vision" "We should". The latter is not fact, rather personal opinion which is not even backed by fact. And because you don't personally agree with his facts, you then have to put a label on him as a racist, a hardliner, a partisan person. Look, Ricki Bobbi holds his opinions firmly because they are most likely backed by fact. Not opinion. The CBC thread is a good example. You can argue your viewpoints any way you like, the fact of the matter is, the gov't should not be funding companies that compete with private enterprise. One of the reasons is an abuse of power or using that power to promote agenda's. This is factual. This is why he holds firm on his stances. And your rebuttal? "I think the show might be funny. I like the CBC. Therefore, we should keep it and you don't have to watch it". The latter is a personal opinion that is beside the arguement at hand. You: "But can't you see Ricki? I really like the CBC" Ricki: "Your missing the bigger point of what i'm trying to tell you" You: "Yeah but then you don't need to watch the CBC" Ricki: "Your missing the point" Now which is being irrational and extrememe? You are letting your own opinion and emotion cloud the facts that lay behind his argument. When this happens, you have to put a label on someone. Just like the way you called me a nazi. I beat the drum of immigration for a reason, not for fun, but your emotions will always cloud the facts behind the reason I do it.

CBC to air comedy "Little Mosque On The Prairie"
mikedavid00 replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Here's what muslim had to say about show. THis proves there is a common agenda: --- Posted by: Aaliyah | January 02, 2007 at 02:42 PM I am a muslim who lives in Canada. I have been living in Canada since I was 2. I still am a faith following muslim and I am very interested in the show.... If this t.v. show can show viewers that, we as muslims, also have a sense of humour, then I think it did its job. Also, if the show changes one persons mind about muslims (i.e. bad to good) then I think it was a success. ----- Posted by: faiza osman | December 26, 2006 at 09:06 PM From what I've seen from the previews, the show isn't making fun of Muslims..it's making fun of those ignorant people out there who have outragous stereotypes towards Islam since 9/11. Looks like it could be a funny show. ------ Here's what a brown person from a forum had to say about the show: "this sounds really stupid, and i’m brown, i have no interest about muslims in living out west, there are tons of immigrants all over canada today, if they made this 15 years ago it may have been funny…but probably not even…. now it’s trying to ride what is currently popular (Indian culture)…next year it will be something else…with some other culture! By the way most brown people aren’t Muslim and don’t live the muslim way of life so surprise surprise once again a steroetypical TV show that has it all wrong!!! Why does all Canadian television suck. please stop production! " -

Lol.. that's so hallarious. I just spent 15 min composing another post of the same nature! Lol! GUYS, ISN'T THIS PROOF POSITIVE THAT THE CBC HAS AN AGENDA?? Man.. it's just something eveyrone knows though.. it shouldn't be up for debate. Little Mosque on the Prarie is helping promote the CBC agenda. It was Chirstmas day and all the CBC did was run stories on Islam and Haj (which got complaints by the way). -

It's common knowledge that the CBC promotes it's Liberal agenda. That is why they are not taken as a credible news organization throughout the world. Same reason why the Toronto Star is non-credible. The minimum wage has been raised by 25 cents in Ontario. This all stemmed from a Toronto Star front page who used their news paper as a tool for a political agenda. My fiances father in Montreal called the CBC a 'leftist organization'. For kicks, let's check out the CBC website and see some subtle brain washing and social programming they have going today shall we? Todays CBC website front page: "Harper to shuffle cabinet Prime Minister Stephen Harper will shuffle his cabinet Thursday, with embattled Environment Minister Rona Ambrose expected to be moved to another ministry." *notice the strong wording which depicts our Environment minister, who essentially has done nother wrong, in a negative light. Also, there is a tone of 'Evile Ruler Harper is out to battle women'. "Federal politicians contaminated with chemicals, group says" *Lol.. here we go. The Federal gov't (read Harper) is toxic! and so is ambrose! The CBC helping spread the word and campaign for Stephan Dion's election issue. Funny though, Canadians don't find the environment an important issue whether through polling or just common street polls in Toronto. "Elections '07 "Canada readies for vote-a-palooza" *Really? I didn't know there was going to be an election in 2007. The people don't want an election, our gov't in power doesn't want an election. Could it be... my GOd.. could it be.. the... CBC WANTS AN ELECTION? Mideast dispatch Nahlah Ayed Saddam video spotlights Iraq's problems "The way Saddam was treated before he died will probably reinforce the view among Sunnis that the new government is waging a sectarian war against them." *Too easy. -

I challenge anyone to write anything actually funny about Toronto. I moved to Toronto from Ottawa 2.5 years back. yup... I didn't know how to get around so I'd sometimes ask for directions. Around the second week here I stopped and asked this lady for directions. And I must say I was quite amazed! I finally found someone that could speak English. In Toronto, you don't see kids playing hockey, you see the kids playing cricket. But that's not a joke, that's just factual. They play it outside my house down the street. I took pics incase people didn't beleive me. But that's old news becuase since then I've seen people playing cricket around the city countless times in parks, driveways, etc. -
I didn't vote in the last election. I'm completely non-partisan. I'm just a guy who spots Canada's problems, and discusses on ways how to fix it. I research and back my idealism's with facts. I'm interested in fixing problems. No the Liberals are not the ones who even understand our problems. And no the CPC is willing to take the steps to fix our problems although I think they atleast have an idea what they are. I don't know how i'm partisan.
-
Again, I still don't see how Ricki Bobbi is partisan. On many numerous occasions he has critisized the CPC party. And why would those guys get banned from the forum? What did they do?
