Laton says yes to everybody and promises everything. That's just what he does. He has so many promises I can't imagine him prioritizing everything. And everyone has been part of the NDP knows that all policy in the NDP is from Jack himself. You have to tote the party line in the NDP or you're kicked out. The NDP is a marxist party with marxist roots.

Time for jack to stand up and tell the truth.
mikedavid00 replied to PIK's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
People who support the NDP do not pay taxes and are uneducated regarded our economy and the implications of raising corporate taxes. The NDP is a great party when you are living on a fixed income from the gov't and want to sponsor in your relatives from another country so we can pay for their triple bypass surgery. The NDP would be a true disaster for Canada. It might seem great at first having all these 'new ideas' spit about. But man oh man in 5-10 years I assure you guys we'd be in second world status. We literally have rolling blackouts as Jack has said he doesn't want new power generation, yet wants a million immigrants coming in each year. -
NDP: Official Opposition or Jack Layton as PM?
mikedavid00 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I totally agree. Layton truly does believe that money grows on trees. He just doesn't 'get it'. He'll tax corporations, they'll leave, and then people like my wife will be out of work. Our household will have to cut spending meaning we won't spend into the economy. Now those small businesses will suffer. My wife will not be able to get another job easy because now she's competing with 100 different people that have also been laid off. With all the corporations leaving, and small businesses going out of business, suprise suprise, the gov't is collecting.. LESS TAXES! Laton and the Marxists just 'don't get it'. They never in a million years will understand the above scenario. You can write a childrens book with pictures and speak very slowly and they just don't 'get it' and never will. People say Harper is going to ruin the country and all that bunk, but the above example is how you REALLY ruin a country - raise taxes, raise corporate taxes. -

Gill Ducepts father actually started the NDP. This is why there is a coziness between the Bloc and NDP. -

Also lets not lose sight of the fact that the house of commons would become an animal house with 100 NDP members. I don't know if you've been watching CPAC, but some of those NDP candidates.. yikes. 25 year old pot head looking types that have never worn a suit. 100 seats of NDP.. would be the most scandalist, weirdest, most corrupt session of Parliament in history. The speaker will have to remind them before the session begins that there's no smoking allowed in the house of commons. -
Ignatieff booed at hockey game.
mikedavid00 replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That's great for Vancouver. It is NOT like that here. Here is family sponsorship, poverty.. poorest corners of the earth. Do you think they were really booing Iggy that bad? It wasn't for Iggy.. it's a deep hatred of how we have to live day to day. Everyone that goes to Vancouver comes back honeymooning about how great it is. People from BC always want to go back home. Come here. It's not a nice place to live. No one WANTS to live here. We just do it cause we have to. You can hear it in the boo's. There is no pride for this city. Did you see Harper in Mississauga the other day? THAT is the real Mississauga. -
Ignatieff booed at hockey game.
mikedavid00 replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Here is the video of him being booed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8bF-MICt0s I actually live in this city so can tell you why he was booed. He was at a hockey game. The majority of people there are white Canadians which is a minority where I live. We *HATE* living with immigrants here and blame the Liberal party for all of our problems. Just ask any co workers here and they do NOT like the multiculturalism. Here in the GTA suburbs, most people are employed by private sector and are forced to live with immigrants all day. We are a very fed up group of people. When they saw Ignatieff, they lashed out. That's what really happened. All those people represent me and I can ASSURE you 100% that those people were booing the symbol of what their immigration policy did to our lives. It wasn't just for ignatieff after all all these seats belong to him. It's the CANADIANS.. the WHITE FOLK that took issue to him and the party he represents. While we lose these seats, still almost 40% support conservatives. You guys accross Canada really have to sympathise how it's like to live with this many immigrants. Every car you see. Every word you see being spoken. People pushing infront of you. No manners. No please, no thank you. We pretty much lost our society, culture, and city to the 'rag people'. -
Canada Federal Carbon Dioxide CO2 Tax

Great idea. August1991 has grown over the years and is someone 'in the know' of how the country operates. That is a very rare achievement for most Canadians. -
Conservatives would create Office of Religious Freedom
mikedavid00 replied to Rick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This is the part I disagree with. We are going to have another gov't office, with people comprised from our UNIVERSITIES, laced with STUDENTS, making RECOMMENDATIONS for 'RELIGIOUS FREEDOM'. Monies will be given to those struggle for 'freedom' (terrorists). I can't believe Harper would be so irresponsible as to do something so careless as this. This office will never go away and be the source of a LOT of scandal in the future. Again, we are talking about intellectuals from academia and muslim students with far left, liberal viewpoints in this office. There is no such thing as a reasonable, rational, intelligent civil servant. It doesn't exist. Come on man you should know better than this. Hopefully he'll drag his feet on this and it will go away. -
I agree. Once you spend time in Montreal you can't help but to realize they are a different culture and separate people than the rest of Canada. Also they are a burden on us and it would be best they separate so they can learn some hard lessons on taxes and spending.

Didn't they try to arrest Malik in India? Why didn't we just extradite him there? Actually remember when Bob Rae mentioned the air india bombings at the Liberal convention and then all the Sikh's there turned their support on Rae and backed Dion? Thank goodness that happened. I still fear Bob Rae and still consider him a threat to Harper.

Exactly. Immigrants are pretty much the NDP and Liberals support base (factual number based statement). But this also includes the bad apples that have ties to terrorism. Don't forget how the NDP hired Arars wife in a salaried position while Arar was being detained and Canada knew little about him except that the RCMP was following him due to ties with the Islamic Brother Hood (which he had and told the Syrian authorities about but that's another story). The NDP has had a long past of being 'friendly' and keeping ties with terrorists and their sympathisers. Again I can't stress enough - 3rd world things happen here in Canada. We are not a Norway, UK, Sweden, USA. We are more like a Pakistan laced with political games and corruption. Making friends with terrorist groups for votes. Very, very third world style.

Sorry I mean lower corporate and business taxes. The great thing is that if Quebec separated, there is NO WAY they would run a large gov't. Impossible. They wouldn't be able to sell bonds. They wouldn't get any money from us. They'd only have themselves to look at. They'd be forced into spending less, legalize 'everything' like prostitution, drugs, gambling, ultimate fighting.. that sort of thing, and lower corporate taxes to bring in business because that is the ONLY place they'd be able to get money from. There is no chance they'd be able to afford a communist medical system. No chance at all. They would be forced into private insurance and hospitals. I'm a big believer in small countries like in Europe. It keeps gov't SMALL and with less money to play with. It also allows us to compete with each other. -

This is Canada we live in. There's no such thing as 'power and jurisdictions' in this country. The Prime Minister can do as he chooses. If any of his party disagree, he kicks them out. It's Canada. Corrupt to the bone. Any contribution by Harper to FURTHER corrupt Canada (the 'Religious Freedom Office' as an example) should not be applauded if you consider yourself a Canadian. He didn't need to do this, but has no opened a whole can of worms. -

Harper did declare Quebec as a nation and then there's the Chinese headtax thing. He likes to give special designations (official ones) to minorities. I would wager, if enough Muslims wanted Sharia Law's and banking, he would give it to them. Harper is very optimistic on multi-culturalism. Even more than Ignatieff it seems when judging by the English debate. Some one should pull up some old Harper Reform quotes. I guess a lot of us are hoping and wishing when he gets power, he'll stop immigration, scrap special interest funding. But that won't happen. He's been jaded now. Been in power for too long and wants more. Pitty really.. -

Harper is the 'least damange' party in my opinion. I would love to see Quebec separate and support them if that's what they want to do. They would have private health-care and lower taxes. (if they didn't have lower taxes, I don't see how they would compete living beside Canada and US. It would also force them to spend efficiently. -

mikedavid00 replied to Rick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Exactly. That's really what the money is for. You and I will have to pay for the salaries, pensions, and benefits of the civil servants and islamic students working in that office, then the grants given to the islamic foundations, and everything involved with it. The office will turn from a gov't floor, to a whole building. Funding will run out of control. It's a mess waiting to happen. Actually look at it this way. Islamic 'FREEDOM'. Religious FREEDOM. What does that REALLY MEAN in *their* countries? Terrorism. And WHO IS GOING TO FUND THESE GROUPS? Our tax dollars and Harpers office. Harper just planted that seed to get that Islamic vote. When you deal with Imams, you will almost *ALWAYS* tie them back to terrorists or people funding of terrorists. Mark my words about this office now. He asked for it. It might take 5-10 years for me to pull up this post, but one day, I'll pull up this post and say I TOLD YOU SO! -

Conservatives would create Office of Religious Freedom
mikedavid00 replied to Rick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
He's wasting tax dollars. It will be a department here to stay. It will have a 50 million dollar budget in 10 years and the real goal is to funnel money to Islamic organizations to buy votes. Who else is having issues around the world of 'religious freedom'. Only muslims. It's his way of funneling money into mosques so the imams can tell the voters to vote conservative. That's why there was a large standing ovation from the Muslims in my city (mississauga) when he announced it. It's a way harper can tie together religion and politics in his favor. Most mosques run charities abroad and collect funds for them. The office of 'religious freedom' will fund money to these charities in an attempt to buy votes. That's what's really happening here. I have to say, it's amusing to hear people say it's some 'white Christian' blah blah from Harper. Lol.. you guys are so ignorant and don't understand just how corrupt this country really is and the reasons why these offices and programs are even setup. You need to study and research Canada a bit more and our non profits. Go study MapleLeafWeb. Go on. Go and see who funds this website, where it's located, the intersts involved. This forum can be hosted at any $3 a month web hosting. Instead, there are actually salaries, employees, and 'fudning' that goes into this website. All for the 20 people who post here. This very website is part of the problem. Research MLW and you'll see just how deep the veins of corruption runs in Canada. It's a way of life here. So bad to the point it extends to this website.. a small forum with less than 2 dozen posters. The Islamic office.. err.. 'religious freedom' office is pretty much, open corruption right before your eyes and a laundering of my tax dollars to pay off organizations to gain votes. That's all it is. If you can't see that, you need to study the type of country we are - a big 'pyramid' system. -

Nothing. What it really does is eliminate Revenue Canada (aka: pensions, benefits, union, salaries), make book keeping much easier for everyone, and most importantly, the flat tax makes the gov't control spending. It forces them to work within the 20% flat tax. If they want more money, tough beans. It's almost the perfect system. Reform used to be for a flat tax. -
First everyone in canada is below poverty, now we're all thriving. I suggest Canadians don't know how to speak English and didn't understand the question. Watch the CPAC election coverage around Canada. Canada is a hole, our medical care system is a joke, and everyone here aside from civil servants are either on welfare, or making minimum wage. we live in dirty Russia style apartment building shoe boxes, can't afford cars with a v6, and can't afford a home with more than 800 sq ft. We're so pathetic here, most can't even afford to travel and see their own country. I've vacationed with people from Spain, Greece, and Italy and can pretty much guarantee that those people are FAR more laid back, happy, and content than the Canadians on the resort running around and hating everybody and everything.
