Although I'm a Libertarian and am anti-authoritarian (pretty much), I'm also a realist and given the choices, I'll never vote anything other than Conservative (unless the old Reform party came back). This time around there is not an immigrant running in my riding so I will support my candidate (no I will not support a race based candidate who hijacked the local electorate with his community.. that is a form of corruption in Canada that I do NOT endorse and support and will NOT endorse these people coming into my country and hijacking our political system with their ethnic community. My city is not comprised of Sikh's wearing cloth on their heads from the third world. Thus, him and his friends should not show up at the Conservative race and tip the vote to his favor to represent my riding. That is what happened last election. This is complete corruption). No. I do not believe that any member of our elected officials should be allowed to run if they are an immigrant. That goes for federal, provincial, municipal. No immigrants in office. France included. You don't like it, don't come here. Get out of the country. And GET OUT of our political system. Anyhow, I have a HUGE BLUE CONSERVATIVE sign on my lawn in my neighborhood. This is really funny. I'm sure my neighborhood is shooken up and upset at the sign on my lawn. I'm actually afraid of getting my car vandalized. Maybe I should call up my riding's office and order another one for the other side of my lawn. 2 HUGE SIGNS LOL! I can take a pic and post it up. NO ONE here has a sign. Most of my street are.. shall we say.. 'contributing tax payers' (read into that what you will) and our street is conservative but afraid to put up signs to 'offend' anyone. Oh well.. I still won't waste my time voting this time around. I know the Libs will take so why waste my time? (hmm.. wonder how many other alienated Con supporters in my riding there are that just don't want to bother because they know the immigrants have hijacked our riding and we don't want to bother going out to vote). I hate the Liberal party of Canada with all my heart and sole. I honestly have hate for them and all the damage they have caused this country. My hate grew when I went through my first medical experience. I hate them for what they did to us. When I can't hear English being spoken around me ALL DAY LONG, I have hate and contempt to the utmost for the Liberals. And I can assure you, as sure as day I have a hatred for Ignatieff. So much so that I can't even stand watching his smug face on TV. We need to extradite him from Canada and stop our duel citizen program. It's just because most Canadians compared to Americans and British are very ignorant and uneducated. They want their politicians to have 'charisma' and 'sell them' on 'new ideas' and dumb sh*t like that. They don't know how the economy works, how taxes work, how many civil servants there are, who pays their paychecks. The average political hack and dumb dumb in this country and on this forum thinks that money falls from the sky. It's an endless supply to play around with so we can send civil servants and their families to useless confreres in Rio De Janeiro. Canadians are basically dumb and it's one of the reasons a goal in life is to get the hell away from this place eventually. Problem is, other countries around the world have this thing called an 'immigration policy'. Only Canada just lets people wander in.

Are you suggesting that every region of the world that has a negative population growth has a policy of letting anyone into their regions? Or is it just Canada (and somewhat Australia) that pretty much lets anyone and their relatives just 'wander in' to places with huge unemployment, no jobs, no prosperity. Then why do so many guest workers come into NS and why do I hear politicians and 'groups' on the CBC radio saying that NS is in 'desperate need' of immigrants? Now YOU are stating you want to be a politician and run things so I'm asking YOU to touch on this issue rather than avoid it.

Provinces are allowed to control their own immigration. Quebec is the only one that chooses to do it.

Word on the street is that there is high unemployment, yet you have all these guest workers taking jobs from locals? Is that right? Also, I listen to the CBC and here this garbage from high salaried civil servants saying that skilled immigrants are 'desperately needed' in Nova Scotia. The gov't gives monies to these 'groups' and academics to claim there is this desperate need. I keep hearing about it. Yet here in Toronto, I keep finding grads coming here for jobs because there was nothing back home. No jobs. No prospects. Nothing. Most of the people from out east hate it here. But they are here out of necessity. So do you guys have a DESPERATE need out there for immigrants and what are you going to do about it? Also as a province you can control your own immigration like Quebec does.. so what is your stance on that?

Exactly. And this is why Unions are pampered and promoted by the gov't. Public worker unions should be against the law. We already have worker rights in our legal code. They don't need to form a union and cry for more more MORE.

Remember how Chretien (you know the guy who jumped the queue so his surgeon friend in Quebec could perform a triple bypass on him and they made up that golf story as a cover). He would always call these elections to keep himself in power (cause that's they name of the Liberal game) and they would kind of float under the radar. The media would ever question the tax payer expense and he quite frankly didn't care what the public though of having an election or anything else for that matter. He ran the country as he saw fit.. like a mob boss out of his office. Actually speaking of surgeries, remember how Mr 'I have confidence in our health-care system' ran off to Florida to get his heart repaired? Wow. What a show of confidence. Yes. You have have joined me in the ranks of being one of the few 'enlightened' in Canada. You now understand the fundamental corruption of our country and the unions. Remember, 1 out of 4 people in Canada report working at a regular work place full time. Out of those people, 1 in 4 are Civil servants, and 1 in 3 of the above number is unionized (civil servants, auto workers etc) This chunk of the working population that are middle class, are almost all civil servants paid through tax dollars. The private sector workers in the middle class are very rare if you are in that group. In Canada, there is no morals. There is no rules. It's a very, very corrupt country where your job here is to support the big 'pyramid'. Canada is one big 'Pyramid' scam.

You forgot one of the main ones. People who like me who live in a Liberal stronghold so there's no point in voting. It's just a waste of time for me to vote. If you live in Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal, it's simply pointless going out and voting. It's a waste of time.
