Nonsense. A stamp response. So we cannot train sufficient numbers of those with our local human resources? That's a failure. That's like trying to fix a leaking main with pumping ever more water into it: how long would it hold? The answer: a few terms, while we get off to our generous pensions should be enough, thank you. Sure? When it bursts, not if who and what will assure sweet cookie time arriving, on the clock?

New Epstein File Release
myata replied to BeaverFever's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
A Democrat was there first though, some consolation. To be fair. Fact is fact, disgusting as it is. -
If the sane part of the society would not put up the best alternative and he wins, the responsibility for the consequences would be on them as well. It's an offense to the Time and evolution to not put up the best work and effort at the time of a critical challenge. And they do not take it lightly.

New Epstein File Release
myata replied to BeaverFever's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Trump is named in the file release Epstein: names by number. He and Clinton are the only U.S. presidents in the list. Could the minimal standard of integrity for the top democratic official fall any lower? Could it? -
If there was an overabundance of stable well-paying jobs in Canada; then why there never seems to be enough of those, or anywhere close to, for a broad-based, shared prosperity for those who are already here? What kind of a f@ing paradox is this, that we always need more and more, ever more but folks who are already here are getting ever poorer? How does this work exactly, and for who?
-
Epstein: names by number. The only U.S. presidents in the list. That's it. Could the minimal standard of integrity for the top democratic official fall any lower? What could the lower one be? It can be one of the cases where the democracy has decided to end itself: consciously and intentionally, in full knowledge what it is intending to do, out of boredom and that unexplainable urge to upset things which appear to be stalling and have lived out their term. And the big unknown, ahead. Do you see a glimpse of hope, there?

... it's with Putins, Uns, Xis and ayatollahs of the world that is coming, he's going to seek "multi-polarity". Like they would talk multi-polarity because they couldn't just come and take it all, right? Between a debilitating weakness of spirit and a delusion, which is better to the evolution? Ask Her maybe She would tell you.. in her own words, of course.

The Real Reason Justin Trudeau Won't Be Stepping Down
myata replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
FPTP is a dead end for a democracy. No ways out. -
The past is not a guarantee of the future or anything. If it wasn't true we would have 100-year olds beating records and excelling in all spheres of humanity. Yet inability to perceive the reality objectively, think and act when and as needed is the essence of what is called "decay". If the West fails to act now you will be traveling under totalitarian cameras and live entire life under the microscope of the social credit. Step either way from the perfect totalitarian line and no one would even recall that you existed. What, you think someone promised you anything?
-
A new Axis of totalitarian dictators with massive numbers of nukes, brazen, emboldened and ready to share them: the first time in history. West, divided and uncertain: the first time since the last great war. No thinking, little resolve and reason: a sign of generational weakness. Keep trying arguing with the reality: but it isn't interested in wise speeches. You show it that works and that's the only way to pass the challenge into the new age. Everything else is a fail.
-
Not the global warming, it could take decades. But this one is in the immediate future. The new Axis of tyrants has risen and is the reality. Pretending that it's not there, or that it would go away, dissipate by itself is a glaring and possibly, defining weakness. Russia and Belarus; Iran; North Korea; Syria; a few satellites; and a China in a vague background. All with nukes and ready to spread them on a whim. Ready? Pretending business as usual; discussions in "security councils" and world soccer is the same kind of ignorant bliss that led the western world into the firestorm of WWII only this time: with nukes. It doesn't appear that the West has answers... even that it's thinking, or even trying. Scary. Secondly, the dictators solved the challenge of popular discontent. In these blissful decades of amazing global cooperation and steady growth in numbers if not broad prosperity, endless parties and scandals, the dictators did not waste their time: they invented; tested and honed, optimized the technology of suppression of popular discontent. "Freedom will prevail because like it's promised by something, right?" No. That was only a rosy weed-induced dream but in this reality, look: Russia; Syria; Belarus; Iran; Hong Kong (China); for a generation now, the dictators haven't lost once to a popular uprising. They can rule forever now. Done. While you partied and more, pumped them with uncountable billions, for great and dependable services. Third, the West has lost the potential and the power of deterrence. NATO was seen as a formidable deterrent and containment force globally, without an equal. Putin and dictators didn't like that, obviously. They said that much, openly. And so, while the great partying went on, the dictators worked on eroding and testing it. Today, Russian planes and missiles are flying in the NATO airspace followed by diplomatic notes of concern. To Putin and Un, the modern totalitarian Hitlers: the notes? Why, notes though? But what else, what can be effective in thought and reality, what works? Who knows that - maybe you would know? A battalion of five super-modern tanks arrived to defend the border country. To a great music and politicians speeches. Who is the great show expected to impress and deter? Putin, with his thousands though far less advanced? Xis, with millions? Will NATO succeed in beating off an invasion of its member by conventional means? Will it even fight? So many questions, these days where it used to be a given, a certainty. And this defines a delta, a gradient: it is clear and apparent already. Is it pointing in the right direction, for our shared future? There's more, that will be addressed at some point but here's the essential question though: Will it all go away, disappear in the air all by itself, with an uncertain shrug of a shoulder and blinking an eye? Why would it? Is there any logic or reason to believe that it would go away if we do nothing and keep doing it? No. Every hour and month of great dithering and procrastination makes and will keep making the dictators bolder and stronger. Now is the best situation you will have in a long while, the horizon isn't clear, but the weakness and indecision draw the shaking old finger from the decision board like a powerful magnet. Lack of spirit, will and resolve what can it be replaced or substituted with? It already happened like this, perhaps not once. Only this time, with nukes. There's always the first time.

A "Canadian", in what, passport? As a Canadian, one would support the international law. Would one illegally visit a territory occupied by a brutal fascist aggressor, defying the international law and the legal authorities, while supporting the claims of the occupiers? Some "Canadians" here. An "Australian" was killed in an airstrike in Lebanon with his brother Hezbollah member.
-
There's no "we". At times in the humanity's history there are brutal, and fascist tyrants, and those who stand up to them. In those times the rule is simple: you give in to fascism or you stand up to it, and there's nothing in between and no empty worthless words could fill the chasm.

FPTP is extreme danger in uncertain and volatile times
myata replied to myata's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No: you don't have to choose among the worst. It's a choice, not a given, and a rarest, unique aberration in the democratic world. This obligation does not exist in the reality, only instilled in your brain by ages old brainwashing: "it's been perfect from Day one. No you don't want any change, change is bad; it never works; anathema!". Is it how you live your life? Does it work for you? Why do you think it could work for the country? And the results keep coming: "we just aren't sure if they can give themselves anything they like". Keep laughing. Right, the people are to blame for the flaws of the system that is failing so grotesquely it no longer cares to hide it. But it's "excellent" and "perfect" you have to believe it. It's just you. -

One does not have to pick among the worst. The sane world does not operate by this rule. It's a choice, not a given, nor a standard. Alternatives exist and they are very well possible. "We tried to investigate if the PM received illegal gifts, but we can't be sure if They may have the prerogative to allow themselves anything". This is real. This is nonsense. It does not happen in real democracies, where no one is above the law. You do not have to accept sheer and obvious nonsense. Training yourself to accept nonsense as normal is a choice. Your choices will define your world. They are already defining it. -

We will continue where left. So, in this system one has to always choose between someone they are sick of; and the other they are terribly bored with. Bad or the worse. One or the other. No other options. Where is this called "free"? In what book? So one has to choose between the bad and the worse always, and no exceptions possible. You said it yourself on countless occasions. You smirked and laughed. Is it that funny, really? In you regular, normal life do you live by the same rule? Eat food that is only second worst? Take a job that is only somewhat better than the worst one? Drive a car that is the better one of the bad? What if you do, or will? What if this is not about peculiarities of great democracies, but that you taught yourself (with help) and got used to accepting one of the worst as the only possibility? For you? Public healthcare in a permanent state of existential crisis. Vietnam is building a high-speed train link. In 2024 there's no standard service to file taxes in Canada. The only female federal leader considered a weird aberration: a common staple in modern democratic politics. One should be careful or repeating mantras of greatness mindlessly, never considering the reality. No, a functional democracy in this century does have to be like this, and is not like this. You can have a choice. Your leaders have to earn the right to govern in a fair and open political competition, not take it as a free ticket. You just convinced yourself to accept the worst and second rate. This is only a choice: your choice; not a necessity; and neither, a standard. Don't lie at least, to yourself. -
"Wonderful societies" ruled by ruthless, aggressive empires. Division of Poland; occupation of Baltic countries and Finland. Conquest of Caucasus. One needs a seriously f@cked up brain to say that. Seriously.

FPTP is extreme danger in uncertain and volatile times
myata replied to myata's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes, OK. Sure. Wait a sec though: does the "party" with the most votes win? Yes or no? A natural slew of a hand and look, it's about "parties" now, and the "candidates" just turned into "employees" by a magical wave of a wand. Wait was it a show, or still "democracy"? Look this is not funny. I wouldn't laugh here, seriously. You know how the CPC, Chinese Communist Party works, they have democracy there too, apparently. It's a great party who cares that only one, and free elections of course, and then by some magical dance it always happen to win. Just another mystery. Now, in this democracy there isn't only one "party" but two. That sure makes it free right? Hold here though: if the folks going to the voting stations know for sure, 100% that only one of the two can win, and so a vote for anything else is pretty much a throw away (with a couple of very minor exceptions) is it still called "free" - in the normal world? Look you're "free" to book any one of our hundred of colors here but you can only get one, or the other; that makes your choice "free" or what? "Booking" and "getting", is it the same thing, in this great world of political magic? What, another trick? That's for the "fair" and "election". But wait there's more! Suppose one gets a "majority" (no not really the same thing but we like to call it that, a local dialect if you like). Then they do pretty much what they like until they screw up in any number of ways and still they would firmly believe in doing the right thing yes because they can do pretty much anything they like, now you're begging to get it, nice work! So they keep screwing up no checks, no balances and very few limits (especially that part always worked great for us here, imagine?) until next to everybody in the country beings to ha.. no, that's not what we say here, "turn their electoral preferences", here you go, much better! And by the way, where do you think would those preferences turn, in which unknown direction? Can you guess, in let's say three? Let's spell it together now: "l-a-n-d-s-l-i-d-e" did you like that? So in the sum: No elections: proven No majorities; no landslides: nothing real, just funny words No checks, balances next to zero accountability (please don't count the joker period) Could the PM have received illegal gifts? "We investigated but couldn't be sure whether they have the prerogative to give themselves anything they like" Yeah, and what about the CPC, by the way? How would it compare? Remember CPC? -

Just general phrases in a total, stark contrast to the reality of unchecked; unaccountable and unquestionable rule. That's "representative democracy" for you, hear! Wrong of course. There's no words that can make an ostrich into a seagull and voodoo dance to a pretty music is not a democracy and has very little to do with representation. Keep peddling your colored picture book, but in this age and century it should not fool anybody. With a grain of intelligence. -

There's nothing "complicated" about every vote counts, and the one with the most (in a true and fair count) wins. Just try to make it any more simple and you end up with some weirdo stuff like look I won because I mixed this pot and it shows something! "Complexity" of everything else but the absolute and eternal perfection itself recorded from the heavenly voices on the Day one of great democracy is just another beaver tale they need to peddle to preserve the status quo where they get to rule with no checks or questions (and that is a fact, by the way). And these things work best with those of a simpler mind, of course. Humans are programmable. -

Blah does not change the reality! It's only words. Especially from the glossy lips of those who serve the status quo in all kind of ways and postures. I can't care a h@ck about personal qualities of public aristocrats as long as the elections do not exist and the whole pantomime is little more than a thin veil over an arrangement between the two default management corporations to rule forever. Look, the servants who feed off the dripping pot like the kitchen..honestly! it has to mean something, right?! You don't get it, no? They can say we will rule because that's how we made it and we can and that would be fine with me if the folks like it that way. But no. They want to say, you elected us. They are saying they have "majorities", and "landslides" and democratic legitimacy, just like the real stuff. Look they believe it too, just may be! Not only that is wrong, factually, it is also an offense: to the truth, and the intelligence, mine at least. And I do not take it lightly. But maybe you wouldn't know the difference anymore. Or care to. -
In today's massive attack, Russia launched over a hundred long-range missiles, cruise, ballistic and hypersonic in a single day. In the months from late summer, USA gave Ukraine 20 or so long-range missiles. In the 1990s U.S. president and administration succeeded in persuading Ukraine to give up its long-range missiles and strategic aviation in exchange for the assurances of security. The same ones in many cases, it's been bombarded with now. Something is deeply wrong in this picture. Biden is a weak Commander-in-Chief, no question. Every tiny step takes months of terrible agony. The enemy just piles atrocity upon atrocity. And the alternative are tacit, and sometimes open admirers of thugs and tyrants ("genius", "very honorable men"). That speaks something important about who - right, us. Would we stand to the challenge our ancestor did? Will we stand a chance?

One man is a mass murderer and a warranted war criminal. One needs a seriously f@cked up brain to say these things. No, seriously.

FPTP is extreme danger in uncertain and volatile times
myata replied to myata's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The status quo is set so firmly in the elites brains they can't even imagine a possibility of change. If the rigid frames of FPTP were to be removed, "the Lib" and "Cons" will disappear, fragment! You wouldn't even see them because they are about nothing, there's little or nothing common that defines them, but the greed for the power. They made this system for themselves so that it would hold them together and they change places and rule. Forever, silly. Rejoice!
