Clueless Canadian politics and the climate change
myata posted a topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This is f-ing disaster. The carbon tax bill in just one month came to over $70 plus $12 the tax on guess what, a "service". Just under a half of what it used to be with a similar level of consumption. This is just crazy. How can one have a 30%-50% increase in a cost of product in a matter of handful of years? If you want to screw something up you couldn't avoid doing this same way. The climate change is real because the science is real and you know it if you're using you iPhone or android, etc. It is most likely human caused because though warmings did happen in the global history, never did they occur this precipitously, taking tens, hundreds of thousands, or million years instead. But you can do a stupid, brainless thing and hope for a positive outcome. Just doesn't work that way. Stupidity, mental laziness and entitlement produces only disastrous failures. Something that this country does not have any clue how to deal with because it's political system is built on 100% entitlement and about 0%, accountability. What is the largest source of the emissions? Shouldn't one 1. Begin with the largest source(s) 2. Demonstrate actual, positive result 3. Make sure that the change is sustainable. 4. Turn to the next level of sources and so on. This process will produce a measurable positive outcome. Let's just do something and see what happens! will produce only disappointment and resounding failure. We have to draw some essential line here: the system of public governance has gone over the crest of its abilities and is entering the phase of impotence and mental decline. Can't explain it any other way. Yeah and who is pocketing the tax on the charge aka "the service"? What laws and rules is it regulated by, any - or just pocketed? Who cares how many questions if there's no answers. -
Yep that about summarizes it. One kind of brutal totalitarism, - our kind has to the right one. It's only a matter of the right ideology, and the color. Appreciate your honesty and openness, there. Not every one of those conservatives"" would dare to admit it.. but thinking it sure, fewer and fewer doubts about that.

Because this not real thing, nothing even close to it. Just some dumb and pointless parody as it has been designed to be from Day one. Note it doesn't translate to "ridiculous time" or "infinite time". If the decision cannot stop an illegal act in progress, there's no point in it. Useless and dysfunctional imitation, a parody of a working democracy.
-
Illegal actions of governments overstepping its authority? Every one. If it's a caricature of independent, competent and functional judiciary then it has to be a caricature of democracy, too. You watch and eat a cheap spectacle, a promo show in place of, and instead of creating and maintaining the real thing. It isn't even close. Exactly. Why would a theater show make any? That was never in the design.
-
Stop this parody! This is no "court": it's joke that anyone who's not zombified by beaver tales can see right for what it is. A real court would have stopped an abuse of power, or intended one, in the act. This is a joke, some kind of a silly, pointless and utterly useless show. A picture book "democracy". See, we have "courts" too!

Nikki Haley: a courageous stance

This is exactly that you do at the time when a group is choosing to lose sanity. You tell them things as they are. You stand up and keep telling it, till there's not a chance that they don't know or couldn't understand. You get them to the point where they know exactly what they are choosing; that they couldn't claim ever, in any outcome that they didn't know what they were getting into. And then you make your choice. Sanity and integrity is a choice; there's no obligation to go insane just because someone else wants to do that. -
There's a difference between "advocating" and making, achieving. Somehow we, and our governments how else, forgot. Again.

The Republican party is parting its ways with democracy. First it tried to co-exist with an authoritarian sect, then to compromise with it and seek its support. Now it's giving it the reins and submitting to it. Objectivity and truth lost on the way. Only our version of it matters now. One of these days we're about to witness the conclusion of this trek. And if it ends up in a failure of historical scale, there may not be no redemption back to normality from this chasm. The democracy was about way more than using this tools and tricks to get to that chair. Every dictator can do and does just that. It's about the integrity; principles; responsibility for one's words and actions; responsibility to the people. All of that seems to be going these days: fast. You forgot or never got to think about it. It is no excuse or explanation. One has a choice to make here: does the group, gang, cult, sect etc get to define you, what you think and what you do? Or you define yourself, your thought and your act. In the times like these there may not be the middle ground. You have to choose, and you will be making that choice whatever you do. -
Well, one just needs to remember how it's done; have the will and energy for it. Remember (it takes working memory) why it was important, in the past. Then, try it. Have some courage and perseverance in case the very first attempt wouldn't work or wouldn't achieve all what desired. Keep thinking and making intelligent choices and changes. Keep trying till it works better and on, till the objective is achieved and problem solved. And above all, then: don't stop it! It would bring you right back to square one. The problem of the West is that it wanted and actively sought to stop thinking; acting; making positive changes; and achieving new results. And it's not just the elites, a big, resounding NO: it's us, the people as always. It is us who stopped thinking, accepting the second of the best, then choosing among the worst; getting by with just getting by and mediocre. And the elites were fine with it as well. The order they have helped to create is working very fine for them thank you! But you would be wrong to blame it on the elites for one simple reason: it's you who stopped thinking, and making. The miracle, a magical wand that would let you push a button once in the ages and then go back to blissful, dumb and mindless nirvana of gobbling, dancing and entertaining yourself to the mindless blank, sending all inconveniences and problems to some vague faraway just didn't exist. Every single generation in our human history has tried to find this Grail of laziness and mindless killing of our time here, always with the same result and to the same outcome. No, you have to think and you have to work. Or you'll become an animal. Why do you need this thing on your head, then?

The buffoon just loves submissive cowards. Just like his role model Vlad, "the genius".

What does this load of nonsense has to say about Hitler invading Poland, blatantly and without a cause or provocation?

So, she was the only real one, with the balls, in the whole bunch? And the rest of so called candidates, only the stooges of the buffoon. Following Vlad "the genius" steps. Great. Let's guess: the mob will start harassing her now to quit. The Republican Party of North Korea. That was quick. And easy too. -

But back to the point, why couldn't the buffoon go to the debates? The easy answer: because he's a coward. He has nothing to say of a substance only the mantras for his mindless mob. And she probably knew that. And put him right on the spot for that. Now he has to walk back, that he will never do being a buffoon full of ... himself; or he'll damage his own party that he couldn't care about less as long as his mob chants for him. Good move; and the only one that works with a lying bully. -
Of the three presumably and by intent, independent branches of the U.S. government, the executive one has long been extremely partisan. Were there any non-partisan presidents in the history? These days, the extreme partisanship in the legislature repeatedly creates crises. We can be only days from knowing for a fact if it has reached the point of no return, where any issue, regardless of its importance and priority to the society can be blocked or delayed indefinitely by partisan hostage politicking or just because it's possible. Finally, the U.S. Supreme Court in the near future will pronounce decisions on several Trump cases. If those will be divided along the partisan lines, it would mean, factually, that independent and impartial judiciary will become a thing of the past. The parties will attempt to control judicial decisions to their political benefit. A democratic government incurably divided and immobilized by extreme partisanship; or dominated and controlled by the agenda and ideology of the party in power. There's a word for that, right?

I'm not questioning; it's an objective fact: how smart is someone who sees a piece of dog sh*t on the ground and eats it for a cake because someone told them it is? What great achievements, where? He ran from every single confrontation and cowered to bloody tyrants like Putin and Un, "genius", "very honorable". Un led him around his finger, on one-three. He's a coward and a patented liar and he's spinning dumb lies about his toughness and prowess in fixing conflicts without any substance in the reality. And the simple minded converts like who? buying it all, hook and the sinker. Like who else would do that? What other rational explanations? See? -

People who are sane and courageous should not let insanity prevail. You can blow yourself all kinds of fancy balloons in your mind but this is only your imagination. You wouldn't know the difference though, why bother replying. -

The buffoon is also a coward. Like it's any secret. -
How many moons do you see in you HO window? "Elites creating" or Hitler invading, any difference there?

Bullshit, more bullshit still more bizarre bullshit: "we don't need NATO". Vlad Putin's itching dream?

Trump wants Putin to have his slaughter
myata replied to godzilla's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Presidents signed the guarantees of security on behalf of their country, the United States of America. If at the time of a critical, survival need, these promises are reneged upon, for any reason or without one, it's the credibility and image of the country that will be damaged. For perpetuity. In the view of this, who in their right mind, will trust the word of an American president? Who will ever, in their right mind, give up nukes voluntarily as opposed to getting them at the first opportunity and as much as possible? This is what's at stake here. And yes: you knew. -

American presidents signed the guarantees of security. American presidents came to Ukraine convince it to give up almost all of its strategic arms for assurances of security. For centuries and generations America proclaimed and positioned itself as a champion of justice and freedom. Make no mistake: all of this is at stake now, nothing less. It's nothing like oops just the little finger pushing some little button because some buffoon told me so and there's no way I could think and act for myself. Don't even think. But I wouldn't jump ahead, no. They have a choice to make and let them make it, in full knowledge of the responsibility and the consequences. And the history will record it. Every name and the letter will be recorded, in history. -
With fascist dictator thugs? That our ancestors never considered, their bad? Yes you can have that kind of peace: by being rolled into the dust and paved over with dictator's concrete. You can always choose this option. Others do not exist though, in the sane world.

No you didn't. Not in this reality and I can't really care what of the alternative ones. Just for the factual record: - Praised Un, "very honorable". Un then led the red buffoon around the finger, added all kinds of weapons conducted tests as nothing happened. - All but withdrew from the confrontation with brutal dictator Asad in Syria. - Engineered catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan. - Did nothing to stand up to brutal thug Putin's blatant aggression and support fighting Ukraine. - Declared that NATO as "dead" and promised to take the U.S. out of it. Can you win any wars if you run away from every single confrontation with a brutal dictator thug? What is the show of might for, if you have no brain or will to use it? Only in you bizarre dreams. That's the reality, brainless converts of the holy lying buffoon, not some colorful bubbles you want to blow yourself in your hopeless minds (if it can be called that, and that's no offense by the way, only a genuine discussion topic: can something that has no capacity of objective perception and critical thought be still called "a mind"?) -

That stain will be on the party for generations, or as long as it exists. There are no explanations, nor excuses for this lie. Every name will be remembered in the history.
