These questions are not about my work, they are about how to understand Holy Bible.In that case, this thread is locked. You will have to try again. If you want to post your work, then you must explain your work in your posting. If you do NOT explain your work, then we will take down your work. If you want to discuss bible verses, then post a thread called "Understanding Bible Verses" in the Religion section.

You should provide your answers to these questions for us to read. Do not leave your reader to analyze your work. You must provide an analysis of your work for your reader.

Guys, Stop derailing the thread.

I would like to see members have the ability to create draft versions of their posts which would only be visible to themselves until the member chose to post it live. This feature would permit the member to edit or to add to the post while the rest of the membership carried on the discussion. The time stamp would be based on the time at which the post was made visible to the public. There would be no "Edited by ChA, Tomorrow, 12:34 PM." by line at the bottom unless the poster decided to re-edited after going live. Citation?

Auto-Animation I would like to see an animation plugin that would allow folks to create their own avatars for fellow members. The plugin would take the Text-to-Voice and Voice-to-Text engine as the basis for animating speech and facial expressions of the custom avatars. Lurkers would have the option to watch an animated cartoon of the discussions. Members would have the option to add invisible place-markers in the their posts which would instruct the animation engine to include facial expressions, gestures and actions. Actions would be customizable by members too.

Text-to-Voice and Voice-to-Text I want to see a plugin that facilitates text-to-voice and voice-to-text conversion in the forum. Folks could surf blind by listening and tabbing through the forums. Folks could read their response into their favorite electronic device and the software would convert their voice to text. The post would have to be reviewed by the poster before submitting. Folks could assign digitized voices to members of the forum by selecting from a bank of cartoony voices or by importing their own. The option to hear the original vocal submission would be available too at the discretion of whoever submitted the post.

Automated Moderation The Report button would demand that the reporter identifies the infraction from a drop-down list. The reporter would be required to identify a recommended intervention. The reporter would type-out a brief explanation in defense of the report. After a post has been reported, the membership would be alerted --- say, with a red light appearing in the corner of the post --- that the post has been reported. The membership would be invited to contribute an opinion. The software would tabulate a recommended intervention with some semblance of democracy. Moderators would have the freedom to follow the automated intervention or to over-ride it.

We took down a bunch of verse. It was not prose. You can revive it yourself. Before we took it down, we quoted it and sent it back to you with our message. If you want to discuss your verse, you may re-post it but you must initiate the discussion with your own thoughts and explanation of your work. You can not just post a poem. It is that simple. This forum is not the venue for your work. You can not use this forum as a blog site for all of your art. If you want to start a discussion with a thesis or dissertation, you are welcome to do so but you can not use this forum as a bulletin board for all of your art. MOD BIAS ON: I want you to continue to be a member here in the forum actively participating in the discussions. I do not want you expelled. Please conform with our standards and our interventions. I define myself as an artist. I am sympathetic to your expression here in the forum. A long-time ago, I hosted a spoken word art radio show. I am very familiar with hosting and fostering language arts to the dull public. It is not easy but it is a 2-way street. The audience must be patient. The artist must pay attention and feed the audience. You clearly need help in your expression and I am willing to give you advice if you wish. I do not find your writing interesting but I am moved by your earnest attempts to express yourself. If you want to re-post your art, go ahead but you MUST introduce your thoughts and explain your art. I will not ban you. You are 1 of a kind here in this forum. I would much rather take down and send back every post that does not initiate nor address the discussion adequately.

No but he has the choice to abstain. I agree. All we need is more Kimmy. No but MH and I have been on the hunt for help for a long time and we want it now. After we conferred and concurred, I called up Greg saying: "Hey, bro. This is what we have to do." and he was like: "Ok. Yeah, I like Kimmy. Go ahead." and the rest will be history. Honestly, I am finding this boring. I know myself well enough that when I get bored, I usually quit. I do not want to quit but eventually we are all going to drop dead. My brats are starting to learn to read English so, maybe, just maybe, they will be interested in reading this stuff and doing my job for me but I am not counting on it. Also, I no longer trust my objectivity and I want this place to be better. MH is coaching me as much as I am coaching him. Long term, his efforts are a hell of a lot more productive if we share our direction with more people. How did you know? You must be God!! MH and I agree on very little politically. Any profound political discussions we have usually degrade to that level with each of us walking away. None of that matters because we are 100% in agreement to defending Greg's mandate for the forum: discussion must be fruitful and polite. MH and Kimmy are trusted to make the decisions that matter. MH and I have been toiling over who to ask for help. Kimmy was 1 of the few members upon which both MH and I agreed. The characteristics that make Kimmy rise above darn near everybody is that she has a thick skin and she expresses herself clearly. To reiterate, Kimmy can not edit nor take down any of your posts...... yet. We are coaching her towards it and praying she does not quit. ====== I am thankful to Greg for trusting me. I learned a lot from him and I am proud to pass on his standards. This forum is still young. I would probably get banned. My latest comments in this thread were censored. Most folks prefer things that way. We do not see that as a problem nor as a disruption of the forum. Heck, sometimes I want to jump into them too! You might be onto an idea for a forum improvement.

I agree with you. I have no idea what my opinion was at the time of the change. MOD BIAS OFF: Sure. Feel free to start a thread on the topic. Meh. I try putting myself in their mother's shoes and I can not do it. I wonder how they explained to their blind kids why they have to sit at the back of the bus. It is a crazy world and life aint fair!

Indeed. To be a Forum Facilitator, click the Report button associated with any post that is perceived to be objectionable and state: WHAT, WHY and HOW. WHAT: Identify the infraction. WHY: Explain briefly why you believe it is an infraction. HOW: Recommend an intervention. For example: "MhH is derailing the thread with this post because he is repeatedly asking ChA why the sky is blue despite the fact that ChA already responded that the color of the sky is not the topic of discussion. I recommend a flip of the coin: heads, ChA gets a stern warning or tails, MhH is banned permanently since this is the 8th time he has done this same thing." I am not confident the idea is that clear but the concept of "fair" is in the eye of the beholder. I constantly have to remind my brats about this. They have this peculiar habit of complaining that things are not fair. I do not get it. I do not think of my moderator actions as fair. Rather, I would like to think of my actions as upholding the standards of the forum. Fairness be damned. Yes. Everybody should be ready for that. We reserve the right to tighten restrictions as we see fit. We may choose to tighten them even further in the future. Time will tell. Next time, just post a link to the image you want to share. We do not hold any of these truths to be self-evident but you responded to a member who did so. The operative word being requested. somebody asked + somebody delivered = some fruitful discussion; time to move on. It was clear that the image was posted to further the discussion. Our standards for starting a new discussion are higher than our standards for a bit of perhaps-clutter in the middle of a multi-page thread that has little focus. The only reason why your Opening Post was not taken down entirely was because it contained a faint whiff of potentially intelligent focussed discussion that could arise from that topic as presented. MOD BIAS: In my most cynical and sardonic outlook of the world, I consider your OP to be valid political discussion without which the entire thing would have been tossed into the Trolling bin. In our estimation, we are being generous. Then again, MLW is not a poetry circle. Maybe the proper intervention would be to move your OP to the Beer and Sports section. We like to think it takes the wisdom and finesse of people like Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder or Blind Willie Johnson ---- you know, folks who have never seen an harmonica nor a piano before but still seem to shine above the rest of us.

Question to mods. Is "guffaw" acceptable in lieu of "bwahaha" in a case like this? Alone, they are both considered VERY low content posts. We would probably nix them unless you were able to genuinely tie-in the humorous nature of the comment with the topic of this thread.

Neither do we. We are proud of how we keep it under control. People are starting to get the picture. You can not script this! What difference, at this point, does it make?? There is a Report button in the bottom right of every post. But you knew that already.

He is a full mod. In a practical sense, he must no longer seek approval for any of his interventions. You are now. Problem solved. If you find a post is objectionably sexist, report it.

Close. We permit cartoon-clutter in fun threads --- i.e., Sports, Beer, Rock and or Roll. We demand text-links in the non-fun threads. The workload has nothing to do with it. This is to control quality. You are not understanding the opening post. Videos are not being rejected.
