More to the story then that. Go ask the churches why they did what they did. Here's a hint, they did what they did because they felt it was an expression of their Christian beliefs. Before you second guess those beliefs purely based on the identity of those they helped find out why they helped them. Again I speak as a Jew and I know righteous gentiles like these Christians, They saved many of my people using the same belief system. I thank them.

Your Zionist elitist rant illustrates nonsense. You are using this thread to present couched references to justify your hatred of anything that does not fit into your narrow definition of what an acceptable white Canadian is to you, the only people you want in Canada. Everyone can read your past posts. You stand for neo white supremacist ideology-the ideology of Hitler. Immigration policy is a platform to spew hatred of non whites for you.

Well then. Its simple. Deport them all back to Germany or better still put them in concentration camps until you build gas chambers to get rid of them. Hell with modern technology it shouldn't take you too long. I hear Lavalin is looking for some new government contracts.

There are serious social issues with the Roma in Europe. That said, if I am someone who thinks there is a loophole in Canadian immigration law that allows me quick entry and benefits including medical benefits I could never get in Europe, of course I would try use that loophole. You put a full plate of food in front of a hungry person, of course they will want to eat it. Canada's refugee and immigration system are run by elitists who do not understand hunger or why people migrate. Most people migrate for economic reasons, period. We have set up a system based on a recycled Christian missionary belief system that the world is full of savages and Canada is the missionary and church that can bring them all in and save them. We patronize the world claiming to a beacon of moral righteousness all should embrace That is the message and image we portray. So why are you surprised a moth is attracted to our flame or a junkie to our easily accessible OxyContin? May I also say, the legal system is full of lawyers and immigration consultants and I can assure you inside people at Immigration making their fair share of money off the misery of Romas and other migrants. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/roma-deportations-canada-hungary-1.3429526 Me I look at the people in Canada responsible for the legal system to fix it and people like you and I who vote. Blaming migrants taking advantage of loopholes to me does not get to the crux of the problem .Also I do not feel comfortable calling out any person in a lesser situation than myself trying to survive as best they can if they are not being violent. It is human nature. I am also the son of refugees and migrants. I have a clear bias. I argue we should focus on approaches that look to teaching and cultivating self sufficiency to break cycles of poverty which in turn will not trigger economic migration. To do that we need to focus on basics like water irrigation, growing sustainable crops, building housing and schools, teaching vocational and professional skills overseas. We need to focus on the refugee camps and on the economic conditions of countries producing economic migrants. In due fairness some are trying to. Also we go full circle with this issue. Yah we can dump on the current system of course. That is easy. However is the alternative we turn our back on those most in need of humanitarian aid? I say let's work on positive reforms to our foreign assistance programs not just focus on what is wrong. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/roma-deportations-canada-hungary-1.3429526

Yah but that was because our Immigration authorities have been infiltrated by North Koreans?....where you want to go with these stories? If your point is people lie to try take advantage of legal loopholes, of course. How is that particular to refugees asks this lawyer who knows his profession is paid to find these loopholes...you think sucking and blowing is limited to only people who have mini dresses?

The Slow Painful Death of the Trump Administration
Rue replied to Iznogoud's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Tthe laughing means little in the grand scheme of things. The powers that be behind American business interests could care less if their figurehead leader is laughed at, as long as their products are being sold, which they are. US foreign trade has increased not shrunk since Trump came to power. We have a battle between the coalition of business interests in the capitalist market system still led by the US, versus the centralized business interests of the Chinese Communist Party. China can not grow much larger without imploding. It can not as it has done up until now, keep building an empire based on debts owed to it from trade imbalance. Debt payments are not coming back fast enough and China can not increase interest rates on debts without collapsing the entire system at this point by triggering bankruptcies. It over-leveraged itself so to speak and now has to scale back its economy but how? In the interim it has to settle for discounting debts owed to it, to keep its economy from collapsing and that is triggering internal pressure for it to scale back not increase foreign trade which it is addicted to... Trump bafoonery is just a distraction from the large economic war taking place and many think China is on the verge of an internal collapse.. -
Ouch. That has to hurt. Oh let's put it in perspective. Its pandering for gay votes in the upcoming election. No one should be surprised least of all gay people.. Trudeau will leverage the coin crap for support from leaders in the gay community in the next election and they should tell him to phack off witht he bs tokenism but it is their decision to make. If a coin can manipulate them that easy, its too bad. They are surely more intelligent than that as a collective. How can anyone mistake the pre-election pandering of Trudeau? Its so bloody obvious and clumsy. A few weeks ago it was idiot photo ops with Siekhs in BC, then there was the grinning Trudeau in front of the Israeli flag with the Israeli President who came and went faster than any act Trudeau has engaged in if you catch my cryptic reference. The pandering has started and we shall see more of it all summer. It was funny watching Trudeau squirm yesterday with Kenney. Man he looked like he had a bad rash. All that squirming. Even more moves than when he was prancing about in India. He can pander all he wants I am not sure at this point it will revive his lack of popularity. We shall see.

Sri Lanka Terror Attack Redux (and all things related)
Rue replied to DogOnPorch's topic in The Rest of the World
Well then let's look at the stats. Please do not call sites you disagree with garbage sites. That is petulant. Just say you disagree with them. You don't have a monopoly on determining what sites are acceptable on this forum, be fair. Take a look: https://www.statista.com/statistics/937553/terrorism-most-active-perpetrator-groups-worldwide/ Terrorism: Most active perpetrator groups worldwide in 2017, based on number of attacks Expand statistic Search: Number of attacks Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) 1,321 Taliban 907 Al-Shabaab 573 New People's Army (NPA) 363 Boko Haram 337 Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist)/Maoists 317 Khorasan Province of the Islamic State 197 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) 159 Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah) 158 Sinai Province of the Islamic State 117 Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) 106 Fulani extremists 79 Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM) 73 Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) 70 Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) 65 Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN) 62 National Liberation Army of Colombia (ELN) 61 Communist Party of Nepal - Maoist (CPN-Maoist-Chand) 61 Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) 59 Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) 49 How do you ignore Dialamah the rate of Muslim terrorist attacks in the above statistics? With due respect the stats you provided are relevant to the issue as are the above. There are two sides at least to this issue. Also Dialamah may I say one thing about the site you use. It quotes a Political Science Professor who claims terrorism can be defined as a rational action with underlying rational motives. I think that kind of political bias or agenda is not helpful. It insults the people from the very same environment as terrorists who do NOT embrace or choose terrorism. I have seen the aftermath of terrorism. I can not imagine anyone who is rational trying to explain it as a rational act and with due respect certain Academics live in an ivory tower and the Political Scientist on your site is such an example. I know personally survivors of terrorist attacks and mothers whose children were taken from them by terrorists and I know those who refused and refuse to become terrorist. It is insulting to suggest terrorists are more rational than they are. Terrorism is the act of choosing to kill the innocent and cause as much emotional as well as physical suffering as is possible in the name of a political or religious motive. It is a violent act and no violent act attacking the innocent is rational and if a an ivory tower academic can not understand that they need to come put some body parts in bags. That said if you truly want to discuss this issue and quite Wikepedia you would also need to quote: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Islamist_terrorist_attacks https://wikiislam.net/wiki/Muslim_Statistics_-_Terrorism Al Jazeera poll, 81% of respondents approved of ISIS "In a recent survey conducted by AlJazeera.net, the website for the Al Jazeera Arabic television channel, respondents overwhelmingly support(aljazeera.net/votes/pages?voteid=5270") the Islamic State terrorist group, with 81% voting “YES” on whether they approved of ISIS’s conquests in the region. At 20% Hammond notes (based on real-world models) that rioting and murder become increasingly commonplace, jihad militias are formed, and churches and synagogues are burned." (americanthinker.com/blog/2015/09/muslims_and_the_power_of_numbers_large_and_small.html) "In 2011, Sunni Muslims accounted for the greatest number of terrorist attacks and fatalities for the third year in a row. Over 5,700 incidents were committed by Sunni Muslims, responsible for nearly 56 percent of all attacks and about 70 percent of 12,533 fatalities. Another 24 percent of the fatalities are on Shi´a Muslims. So in 2011, Muslims were responsible for 94 percent of the fatalities in terrorist attacks. Since 2011, with ISIS on the scene, the number of the fatalities –victims of the Muslim terrorist attacks- sharply grew, together with Muslims´ share in the world terrorism that is steadily closing in on 100%." (chersonandmolschky.com/2015/04/13/islamic-terrorism-japan) I deliberately obtained the web sites for these above statistics and put them in because Dialamahall of the above can be found on the following web-site: https://carm.org/islamic-muslim-statistics-on-violence-rape-terror-sharia-isis-welfare and with due respect you may have chosen to write off the validity of these stats given they were posted on the above web site. Please consider this salient point. No it is not fair to call all Muslims terrorists. However to ignore the terrorists who engage in terrorism because of their extremist Muslim ideology is not helpful. Trying to sanitize the name of terrorism to take out its correlation to Islam is not accurate. I will never agree with anyone stereotyping all Muslims as terrorists but with due respect trying to sanitize the word Muslim extremist from its correlation to terrorism is not helpful or genuine. Muslim extremists kill more Muslims than anyone else in the world. For that reason alone pretending they don't exist discriminates against Muslims more than it does non Muslims. We have discussed on this forum that Muslim attacks in the US are less than other groups. That is a fact however it does not change the complexion of the above and to try argue Muslim extremism is not the most likely source of terrorist attacks globally at this time, is just not accurate. I say that with no intention to negatively stereotype anyone but to point out we need to openly talk about terrorism and not engage in political correctness if it distorts the method of operations and motives behind terrorism. Obama tried that having people white wash the FBI statistics erasing the word Muslim before terrorist in all their manuals and materials. Trudeau deliberately pandered to Siekhs in BC two weeks ago sanitizing his words to avoid acknowledging Siekh extremism in India . That is as insulting to Siekhs as it is the rest of us. Give some of us credit to know that not all terrorists are Muslim when we present the above stats and we will not use it to hate Muslims. Please. I know you may not think so with some people on this board. I get that but don't give in to that anymore than I will believe terrorism is rational. Stand your ground as to using stats to justify hate but don't be afraid of the stats either. -
Time to Ban AirBNB - It's creating a housing crisis
Rue replied to GostHacked's topic in Local Politics in Canada
I just had time to read the latest posts. I have no problem with the criticism being levelled at "non ordinary" people like Eyeball. If there are some big players not playing fair then yes that has to be dealt with I concede that I just don't think ordinary home owners like Eyeball should be penalized. When I say Eyeball I of course mean all Eyeballs, all people like him doing this. They are just ordinary people trying to survive and should not be penalized. Nothing they are doing is unethical or harming anyone. They offer a good alternative for some to hotels. I get the criticism though raised by G nd J in the last two posts. That is a distinct issue and its serious yes. -

Whether the history of gay people in Canada warrants a genuine reference on a coin is an argument as to what constitutes sufficient historic relevance to justify such reference. That said I am not aware of any objective method of analysis that is used to determine who gets to be on a loo I agree with BC and Shady. In such a discussion I can understand a genuine debate over what makes something historically relevant but turning the discussion into an expression of hate for or negative false stereotypes of gay people to me is pointless. All I can say is I think this started when we made the national animal of Canada the beaver. Hell they eat beaver tails openly in Ottawa. That is the kind of country we are.

Whether the history of gay people in Canada warrants a genuine reference on a coin is in essence an argument as to what constitutes sufficient historic relevance to obtain such reference. Measuring whose experiences in Canadian society are relevant or not ultimately becomes a political one. No doubt some will see this coin as a transparent attempt to pander to the gay vote for the upcoming election. I suspect it is. That said I am not aware of any objective method of analysis that is used to determine who gets to be on a loon. My cynical opinion is that Trudeau is pandering. However I tend to also agree with BC and Shady on this for the reasons they said verbatim. In such a discussion I can understand a genuine debate over what makes something historically relevant but turning the discussion into an expression of hate for or negative false stereotypes of gay people to me is pointless. All I can say is I think this started when we made the national animal of Canada the beaver and not the eel. Hell they eat beaver tails openly in Ottawa. That is the kind of country we are. Also don't get me going on what is top and bottom on these coins. Very complex.

Time to Ban AirBNB - It's creating a housing crisis
Rue replied to GostHacked's topic in Local Politics in Canada
Totally agree with all Eyeball's comments on this topic. People like Eyeball are not causing a housing crisis they are a symptom of it and trying to survive. They should not be used as the scapegoat for the reality of what causes a housing crisis and that is high condensation of population in small living spaces and patterns of where work is situated. City planning or actually deficiencies in city planning from 100 to 50 years ago, not today along with economic conditions and population movement to inner cities have caused the current problems. Their developments are highly complex. On thing our federal government is directly responsible for is immigration movement to inner cities creating a strain on exisiting housing. We have to find a way to encourage more Canadians and in particular new Canadians to move to places outside the large inner cities. Easier said than done. -
Oh look the collective of Altai and its changing syntax still tries . Lol you won't catch anything using pork as bait. You also are way too noisy. Show some respect for your environment and the other fishers. The season is soon upon some of us. Might I suggest before you go upstream you cover up. The only thing yer gonna get is black fly bites, lyme disease and a confused bear thinking its mating season.

The new Ontarian Islamic Party
Rue replied to QuebecOverCanada's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Depends if you are in Miami Beach its probably a guy from Quebec. Speedos.. I tried to wear one once, I got mistook by some woman looking for her tennis balls. I'm now a soprano now but Serena Williams went on to be world champion. I like to think it was me who inspired her. -
The new Ontarian Islamic Party
Rue replied to QuebecOverCanada's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I tell you what Armchair...people are extremely fed up with Muslim extremists who engage in terror. They are fed up with them just as they are ALL religious extremists. Because Muslim extremists are this time appear to be engaging in most of the terror attacks we read in the media, they are in the news and each time they engage in terror they reinforce the anger towards Muslim extremist terrorists. Most people can not differentiate between a Muslim extremist terrorist, a Muslim extremist, a Muslim, an Arab. The words are interchanged yes. The lines get blurred and yes its important moderate Muslims know anger you read on such threads is not about moderate Muslims its about Muslim extremist terrorists. I have been the first to come on this board and lecture like a self righteous prophet to others to take care in the differentiation and I am equally as guilty of blurring the lines-we all are at times. For me the only people I call Arabs are Beduins. Technically an Arab could be anyone descendant from people of the Arabian peninsula region and that could mean Christians, Jews, Muslims, Druze, Berbers, Kurds, and others. PIK does not need my defence but I can assure you he does not think all Arabs are savages. If you read back his posts and those of people I have given my high almighty lectures to, they all know the difference. They do. What we are all expressing is an anger at Muslim extremist ideology and in particular Muslim extremist ideology that leads to terrorism. Also Islamic segregation in the name of Sharia law is another thing many of us find problematic. You will find in Canada there have been religious parties, such ad the Christian Heritage Party. They were started as a strong reaction to specific moral issues such as abortion or homosexual lifestyle or people having children outside marriage. Interestingly their views are shared by fundamentalists of many other religions so technically they don't just get support from fundamentalist or extremist Christians. For the most part they remain fringe groups and certainly the Christian Heritage Party is not terrorist in inclination and welcomes support from fundamentalist Muslims, Jews, Siekhs and Hindus particularly on issues such as sex education ins schools. That is part of the democratic process but it remains fringe, not main-stream and it remains peaceful, not violent. That said you will find people in Canada do not like religion and politics mixed. For the most part we like to keep the two distinct because when you mix them it leads to nothing but extremism. That said this province and country are headed for a conflict with extremist Muslims or any extremist religious followers who want to segregate their members and define law by religious beliefs. However please understand this religious segregationists like Amish or Hasidic Jews don't go around blowing anyone up so most of us don't really gave them much thought. The disdain over the Ontario Islamic Party is about the mixing of religion and politics in light of how its practiced in Islamic states. It is about people fed up with anti-democratic values . Its not necessarily about race, but I tell you what, as a Jew I have plenty of people assume because I am a Jew and support Israel's right to exist that I am an extremist and hate Muslims, etc.. Read back Saudi's idiotic comments equating holocaust survivors who fled to the Middle East as migrants. That is a deliberate script that denies why Jews fled to Israel and its par for the course. Is that racist, anti-Semitic, what ist or ism do you want to call it? Does it matter? Here is what I will also say-this country, has allowed me and my relatives to live in peace. Its a mix of aboriginal and Christian traditions and British and some French laws and I am grateful for it and loyal to it. I am grateful for the soldiers who died so I can enjoy it. . I don't want it destroyed in the name of people claiming to exercise freedom of speech by upholding views designed to create different levels of rights depending on what religion you have. So get back to me when you can explain why Sharia law and its system of dhimmitude and the way it is used today in states that practice it through "Islamic" parties is not a threat to me or the democracy of Canada or the human and individual let alone other rights of Canadians including moderate Muslims. -
Why doesn't the world stop this US foreign policy?
Rue replied to John Otis's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Seems we have the usual visitors from Kazakastan with us on this thread. Comrades welcome. Are you Russians or do you bounce in from Iran? Well? Hi to you. These periodic visits to Maple Leaf are wonderful but your obsession with hating "America" is hilarious. Really it is. Listen comrades I never liked Hilary, but your Trump boy is a disaster. Julian Asssange showed me the pictures you have on him. Melania is quite something. Now I know why Donald's hair is yellow. Speaking about that before you piss further on the US, do you intend to live without all the things you have in your life as a result of spin offs from the US military industrial network? Show me you will and I will take your criticism seriously. Until you do comrade(s) may I say there is nothing more hilarious than an agent provocateur who drinks Coke and stuffs his righteous face with Big Mac's and smokes Marlboros. Viva Che boys. P.s. I know Melania is transgender. All the first ladies are. Please everyone knows. That's why you killed Joan Rivers. -

To be at a point in time where people even discuss the need for a subway expansion is absurd. It should have been done 60 years ago. The inability to agree on an expansion meant for every year the subway was not expanded the prices for the expansion rose. Had Ford not stepped in it would never have been done. We'd still be having people talk about whether its needed. He represents someone and a constituency who can't stand the indecision of municipal politicians in Toronto, for better or worse. As for discussions about the dvp, the whole point of subway expansion is to decrease the load on the dvp and other roads so subways address the issue of dvp repair. If you don't expand subways, the dvp remains clogged and needs repairs at a much more increased rate. The whole point of subways is to cut down on the need for and maintenance of roads not to mention cutting down on carbon emissions. So I think the left needs to give a big cheer to Dougie on this one. Building a subway is a direct effort at addressing air pollution and rising infrastructure costs for roads. You see the Dougster cares. I mean from the looks of him he eats babies, but he cares. Hail comrade Dougie.
