    I beg to disagree. If he was to withdraw, he should've done it before the FBI investigation was ordered. If he withdraws now, of course we know how the Dems and the anti-Trumps are going to spin that. They'll say the FBI probe had scared him off - because he has something to hide.

    I must've missed something about Kavanaugh's background as a Federal judge. That's the newest talking point now....seen that brought up by several anti-Kavanaughs in another forum. Let me ask you..... In his 12 years experience as a judge, was there EVER a complaint against his temperament and his bias? I don't think so. We should keep in mind that Kavanaugh wasn't in that senate room last Thursday, sitting as a judge! He was there in the fight of his life - fighting for his name/reputation, his family, all the years he spent building his career, his legacy! What we witnessed last Thursday was a man being screwed and gang-raped by rabid Democrats bent on demonizing him in their desperate effort to get rid of him! We witnessed his rights to be presumed innocent until proven guilty, trampled on national tv!

    having watched what went on at that supposed hearing regarding Kavanaugh.....I think I agree with you. That's what the Democrats showed to the world!

    Lol. She's claimed to have seen men lining up to rape their victim(s).....and yet she hanged around with this group of rapists for more than two years. Looks like all that time, she's been waiting for her turn to get raped! She must be among those rare breed of women who like it rough!

    Only blind partisanships and idiots will not challenge Ford when she said she's 100% sure it was Kavanaugh who assaulted her! Bull! What's 100% sure, was the way she botched identifying alleged attendees to that party! yep. She botched that, 100%! Not one of them has any recollection going to that party! Even her own friend REFUTED her claim that she (Keyser) was at that party! Not only did Keyser refute that claim, she also corroborated Kavanaugh's claim! How? Well.....if Keyser said she doesn't recollect EVER BEING in a party that was also attended by Kavanaugh - then, one of them (either Kavanaugh or Keyser), wasn't in that party! If Ford says Keyser was there, that means Kavanaugh wasn't! If Ford had botched up with the people she claims to have been at that party - it's also very likely she botched up in naming Kavanaugh! Something did happen to Ford - but I don't think it was with Kavanaugh! I believe Kavanaugh. Just shows you.....the Dems doesn't care at all about Ford! All they care about is getting rid of Kavanaugh.

    I don't understand why they need the FBI to verify the dates that Mark Judge had worked at the Safeway store. All you need is for someone to go there with the authorisation to see their employees file! If they want to know the dates, her lawyers could've done that, couldn't they?

    This is about the sexual assault that allegedly happened at that party. The only crucial information that should be investigated will be from all the alleged attendees of that particular party.....or anyone who can corroborate Ford's claims about it, like the person who gave her a ride home (she said she walked home, though), or anyone seeing her walking home around that time frame. The investigation should only be focused on this particular issue - whether Kavanaugh assaulted her or not. It shouldn't matter if Kavanaugh had drank on weekdays.....or if he was seen drunk at other times. Those aren't crimes! Her lawyers should know that. Lol. To think that drinking excessively in your teens should matter the way they try to make it so, is ludicruous. What? That would be like making reading porn by teens be presented as "evidence" for any sexual crimes! The issue is: did he assault Ford, or not?

    No. That doesn't say he has "little accurate recollection." He's stating what is a fact (to him). I'm responding to your statement. You said: How do you know his statement to the press, that "he does not recall having any memorable interactions with Christine Blasey," isn't accurate?

    I won't be surprised that this is Republican's way of getting out gracefully from digging in about not wanting any FBI investigation. I suspect the Reps realize it's better that Kavanaugh not get confirmed with a cloud hanging over his head - and it wouldn't be good going to the mid-terms with it. Lindsey Grahams' face looked relieved, and he seemed upbeat when asked by reporters about it.

    Why would his reaction be any different from anyone who's been abused, screwed and raped? He's going through hell! Some Democrats had even started calling him EVIL - even before they heard both testimonies! His right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty has been blatantly TRAMPLED by these people! He's been gang-raped by the Democrats! Publicly! Symbolically! He is in a fight of his life - fighting for his family, his name, his reputation, his career, his legacy........and you expect him to be devoid of any emotions? Where are you getting that for a fact??? How do you know he has little accurate recollection? I don't think he was trying to garner any sympathy. He was expressing his anger and outrage.....which is only normal. I disagree. Every woman has a father.....a husband.....a son......a brother......a friend. I don't know what the outcome will be at this voting.

    But, who leaked the letter??? Feisntein emphatically denied it was her or her staff! Ford? Ford's lawyers (one of whom has been recommended by Feinstein)?

    Yes, I like his speech! It was powerful - it overshadowed Ford's testimony. When you think of the hearing, it's Kavanaugh's PAINED, emotional speech that springs to mind. That will resonate, especially to women! Maybe, a few Democrat Senators might even vote to confirm him. But, yes he should've cooled it. He even gave the Dem lady a hard time (she was the one who was reasonable with him). I think his wife had advised him during the recess period, because he apologised to this Dem lady when he came back to the room.

    Women helped bring Trump to the White House (despite everything they said about him).

    I think, the pained, outraged speech of Kavanaugh against the Democrats.....and that speech by Graham will resonate.  Watching Kavanaugh, and listening to his angry lament,  I was moved - and cried.  What mother, wife, sister, daughter .......wouldn't?

    It could cost Democrats some seats!

      He didn't say or suggest she was lying.  He believes something happened to her....except that it wasn't him.   Ford is mistaken with his identity.   That isn't farfetched.  If she's been traumatised enough to have forgotten other crucial details about that night, why can't it be possible she's mistaken with the identity of her attacker?  

      Kavanaugh has someone to corroborate his claim that it couldn't be him - Ford's life-long friend - Leland Keyser! 

       

      Yes,  Ford was used by the Dems.   That's not a lie.  Nowhere did Kavanaugh accuse Ford of being complicit with the Dems.

      WHO LEAKED THE LETTER that outed her?

      I don't want my status update to be cluttered by rebuttals that stand on nothing but ignorance.   I'm deleting responses that show ignorance/incomprehension of the issue, or juvenile responses.

       

      If unruly posters want to insist on their kind of posts - feeling outrage for having to maintain a certain standard in their response(s) to an update - don't be a snivelling, whiney loser.  Grow up.  Pick yourself up - dust your pants - and go to the regular forum.  

      Status updates belong to the ones who's created theirs.

        You're bringing up a different pair of shoes.  That's not the same as what's happening here, Argus.

      Democrats have been calling him names even before there was the hearing!  They've trampled his right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty!

      Hardly unusual in these sorts of hearings. Did he expect things to go smoothly given the Republicans blocked what should have been their supreme court nominee for almost a year so they could make it instead? That's on top of the Republicans refusing to even begin hearings on ANY federal court nominees until the Democrats changed the rules to require a straight 50/50 vote. Clarence Thomas went through something not dissimilar and he didn't start snarling and snapping and crying.

      I don't really know what happened with Clarence Thomas.  Was he called "evil"  by others before the hearings?  Was he treated like he's guilty?

      You don't see me comparing Ford with those two women who accused Gomeshi, do you?

      Even so......Kavanaugh isn't Thomas, and Thomas isn't Kavanaugh.   I don't think they're clones.

      I'm watching it live, she is very credible .  

      Rachel Mitchell has concluded her questioning of Ford by saying that the format the committee chose for asking the questions was not the most effective.   

      Three Republican governors called for a delay on voting to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh so that a more thorough investigation cou...     time.com   

      The Dems have been pretty 'fair' with Ford but when Kavanaugh speaks they’ll attack like starving piranhas.        I'm guessing they will now be an investigation.

      How her letter got leaked - only her lawyers, Feinstein and the person who gave the letter to Feinstein were the only ones who had access to the letter.  I find it odd that for all her stipulation that it be kept confidential - she didn't show any emotion about that letter getting leaked.  Like, there's nothing to it.

      There was also her claim about having fear of flying - and yet, Mitchell mentioned several places she's been to where-in she travelled by plane.

      If I was Ford, I don't know if I can say hello to Mark Judge after that incident.

       

      She could've been assaulted for real - but I don't think it was by Kavanaugh.   She might've really mistook him for Kavanaugh......or, she could've used that assault experience (by another man),  to help the Dems stop the confirmation of Kavanaugh.

      Her own supposed witnesses negated her claims about that party.

    ....well maybe this could turn out to be a good thing for Republicans.....especially after this third woman! Lol, her tale is really bizarre! Twice on CTV, they've got guests who turned out siding with Trump. Marcia McMillan couldn't believe the body-language expert (a black woman at that), who not only interpreted Trump's body language so positively, but also sang Trump's praises! Not only did that last woman accuser really showed that this is nothing but an orchestrated "con job" by Dems (yes, Trump will be vindicated again) that Kavanaugh will be sworn in next week to SCJ - and, likely this will backfire and Dems would lose a seat or two in the midterms as well! Only the die-hard Dems and looney anti-Trumps refuse to see this for what it is! They won't vote Republicans anyway.

Though it originated from noble aspirations - the feminist movement we see now is destroying America. It's become a monster. We're now back to what seems to be like a modern-day Inquisition (with all these sexual misconduct allegations from decades ago), that all you need is an accusation....... and you're toast! You lose your reputation and even your job! Is this democracy? And.....Canada is not that far behind! Look at the Gomeshi case. Even his lawyer had received death threats! NDP leader Singh fired his MP from the party, for no clear reasons - even after the MP attended a workshop and was given a good report! Anything the Feminist Movement touches......becomes corrupted. The latest casualty - the MeToo movement.

    No! There's nothing to investigate! The FBI had already done 6 - SIX - background checks on Kavanaugh! The onus is for the accuser to provide something for any investigator to start with. Giving the date would be nice - so the investigators can verify alibis. How about witnesses? The supposed witnesses named by the accuser - which include her life-long friend - had all denied her story! In other words, the people she named are all actually saying - her story isn't true! If there's any investigation to be done, it ought to be about whether this is a deliberate fabrication - and who are all the people behind it! Go to other forums - the rationale by the anti-Kavanaughs are so weak - they're running out of steam because of all the holes - and the supporters for these women are not many compared to the outraged ones who see this for what it is! One poster at the other forum was a rape victim herself - and she blasted at Ford! Lol. The last one especially - who's so drunk she had so many gaps! Lol. Does she even know she was looking at a penis? And, Kavanaugh's at that? The optics is that the DEMs are really trying to do whatever they can to delay and/or stop Kavanaugh's confirmation - even to the point of doing something dirty like this. It only shows that the usual media (who's got also an ax to grind against Trump) are colluding with the DEMs - which only supports Trump's allegations against the media! Voting as scheduled, means the GOP has had enough entertaining leftist shenanigans that make a mockery of the process! This circus by the DEMs also demeans, makes a mockery of, and diminishes the MeToo movement!
