If ALL Conservatives - even the ones supporting PPC (I'm glad to see them going up in the polls too), will throw their support on O'Toole at the last minute - CPC will have the majority. If you guys want to see Trudeau gone - better put your money where your mouth is. THIS IS OUR BIGGEST CHANCE! We can't deny that Trudeau has had a charismatic grip on the nation. O'Toole has seem to manage to crack that. Don't throw away this chance. It may never come again for such a long time.
-
They seem to be saying the same things, but they're not. Furthermore, we've heard the same things from Trudeau in the previous elections. He's just all talk.
-
There is still a big difference: Respect for rights of ALL Canadians under O'Toole whereas the only rights that seem to matter to Trudeau is women's right, and whatever else is dear to his heart. Other's rights are expendable, like the rights of conscience and religion. The rights to free expressions. He's also removed our rights to choose by imposing mandatory this and that! Trudeau sees himself as a paternalistic leader who knows what's best for each and everyone of us. That's how dictators all see themselves, to justify what they do. Both may be doing the same multitudes of spendings but O'Toole's plan aren't frivolous. It is well-thought out and planned....whereas Trudeau's throwing money simply to buy votes! or, to please friends. Or, for self-interest. As an example of O'Toole's well-thought out plan is his spending for mental health. Lol - if you guys want to really reduce VIOLENCE, then you ought to support this. It's not the guns, folks. It's the person holding the gun. How many mass-killers have mental issues? Transparency and the endless scandal. Nobody's talking about the Raybould incident anymore - how Trudeau tried to tamper with our justice system. No one's talking about WE charity. And, the biggest difference between the two should be a no-brainer to anyone who's been in Canada for the last 6 years: The Liberal Party is run by an obvious incompetent - as seen by the numerous bad decisions he's made. He's too slow to react to crisis - the last one being Afghanistan! Time for change. A real, meaningful change.
-
This morning, Nanos polls shows Conservatives slightly ahead of the Liberlas. O'Toole's favourability rating as PM also went up. Lol - I'm not gonna pay attention to the polls! I'll end up with ulcers.

This CTV journalist named KEVIN GALLAGHER must be hard of hearing. He kept badgering O'Toole about what specifics O'Toole would've done now about operational procedures in Afghanistan, if he were the PM. O'Toole had clearly stated that Trudeau had acted soooooo slowly, even when he was informed and warned months or even years before to act! Gallagher can't seem to put one and one together - and couldn't connect the dots! He make it seem like O'Toole was evading and not giving any answers! HE DID ANSWER YOU! It's just that.....O'Toole's answer went over your head, Kevin. ? Had O'toole been the PM - it wouldn't have come to this! THAT'S THE POINT! THIS SITUATION WE'RE IN NOW WAS PREVENTABLE! O'Toole would've listened and acted upon it pronto. That's why he's pointing at Trudeau's INACTION! DOH! Lol. This situation is preventable! It was because Trudeau didn't pay attention that's why we have this dire situation trying to get Canadians and Afghan allies! As usual, Trudeau reacted too late!

Hey, Maryam - being the MINISTER for GENDER EQUALITY - why don't you plead to your Taliban brothers to not scrap...................... but instead, to continue with the gender equality program that had been started in Afghanistan? We should send you as an envoy to them. When Taliban shot Malala in the head, this is what she did. Her story https://www.msn.com/en-in/news/newsindia/when-taliban-shot-malala-in-the-head-this-is-what-she-did-her-story/ar-AANIGaT
-
But it was the way she addressed the Taliban -- a listed terrorist entity in Canada -- that quickly prompted a flood of tweets, including from alt-right pundits, accusing her of supporting or sympathizing with the extremist regime that seized control of Afghanistan nearly two weeks ago. Like always, though, context and nuance are important -- never more so than during a heated federal election campaign and in the midst of a pandemic that has seen hate crimes spike across the country. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/other/maryam-monsef-called-the-taliban-e2-80-98brothers-e2-80-99-here-e2-80-99s-what-you-need-to-know/ar-AANJYzJ You got that right! CONTEXT and NUANCE are important. The only context I see is the nuance of legitimizing the TALIBAN - by referring to them as "brothers" in an ELECTION CAMPAIGN - in a press conference! You don't have to refer to them publicly as "brothers" when you are the MINISTER for GENDER EQUALITY................... when you know very well what happens to women and girls who will have to live under the Taliban rule! Your brothers have killed NATO soldiers - including Canadians - during the war! Referring to them as "brothers" on national tv - could that be a coded message for................................. .........................."BRAVO? You got the Western bastards withdrawing?"
-
I wonder if she ever made a plea for her OTHER BROTHERS AND SISTERS - the Afghan allies - to have them evacuated asap - long before Kabul fell to her beloved brothers, the Taliban? I wonder if she nagged Trudeau and Sajjan about them? Reminding Trudeau and Sajjan that her other brothers and sisters have risked their lives for Canada? I wonder if she reminded them what happens to sisters under her beloved brother, Taliban? I wonder if she ever spoke on tv - addressing her brothers and sisters - who now fear for their lives - to give them moral support in this great time of uncertainty and danger? I wonder if she ever reached out to her brothers - the Afghan interpreters, who have been in Canada - especially the ones we see on tv, calling to our government - to help their endangered families? Was she there to be with them when our Afghan community marched to plead for help for their families left in Afghanistan?

If Libs will win again - I do hope so that they get a very weak minority! Serves them right for calling an unnecessary election in the middle of a crisis.
-
Uh-oh. Trudeau has pulled away and is leading again.

From Angus Reid, a breakdown of polls: "O'Toole and Singh warming up voters as Trudeau turns them off: Poll Asked if their views of leaders are improving, worsened or stayed the same, 22% say their opinion of NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh has improved, 20% say their impression of Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole has improved, while just 6% say their impression of Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau has improved. When it comes to regional break downs of voter support, the Conservatives have a slight lead over the NDP and Liberals in British Columbia – 32% CPC, 30% NDP and 27% LPC. The Conservatives dominate across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba with a minimum 20-point lead in each province. Where the race is tightening, according to the Angus Reid Institute, is in Ontario and Atlantic Canada." https://torontosun.com/news/election-2021/otoole-and-singh-warming-up-voters-as-trudeau-turns-them-off-poll

While Trudeau speaks in Surrey BC today - you could see the "crowd" in front of him through the reflection in the mirror behind him. Other than journalists - I don't see any crowd. Apparently - according to a journalist - there were anti-vaxxer protesters nearby.
-
Yesterday, O'Toole and Trudeau were actually tie. It's O'Toole's numbers that are moving. Even as preferred PM - his numbers are going up! I don't know if it's true, but Nanos says it'll be hard to change things around within a short time period of campaign ( a move that Trudeau might regret). Lol - kinda like the flipside of Harper when he made the campaign weeks quite long.
-
Don't fool yourself into believing that no Liberals went to the NDP in the last election. Liberals who can't stand Trudeau did just that. Those same Liberals might find O'Toole acceptable.
-
The polls are saying it's a dead heat. Mind you, polls aren't always accurate. The only true poll will be on election day. If you followed the last election - you'd know that there is a big difference between Scheer and O'Toole. Just the way they talk, there is a big difference already! With Scheer, it was excruciating listening to his delivery! I complained about that! Journalists are pointing out the difference between them - aren't you following the campaign and feedbacks among pundits? Aren't you listening to what they say? Lol - O'Toole brought out a clear platform plan on day 2, something Scheer's campaign had failed to do. Then, there's the difference in their approach! With their policies! For you to say that they're just the same in the face of the stark difference between them - now, that's what I say, "wishful thinking."

O'Toole actually surprised me the other day with his explanation about supporting Safe Injection sites. His explanation (aimed at traditional conservatives), about COMPASSION towards those addicted.................... had me questioning myself! And, I ended up reluctantly agreeing with him! I mean.....he has a way of talking and reaching out! He's coming across as a very likeable and practical guy! Even with his healthcare policy about letting provinces decide what they want. I mean, what's so hard to figure that private healthcare facilities help shorten the waiting period? If folks can afford to pay for their care (and they don't want to wait in a line-up) - let them leave the line up and let them go to the other place! That helps lessen the load for our own universal healthcare system. What's so hard to understand about that? Because.....these people who keep complaining about it (like Trudeau) - aren't really doing it for the sake of the people. They refuse to see the practicality in it, and instead, using the issue for politics! Just this pandemic - Many seniors and many people died under TRUDEAU's watch! Our healthcare system has failed under Trudeau's watch! How many people with cancer had died, or have been doomed to die because of Canada being unprepared - and SLOW TO ACT - during the onset of this pandemic? Hospitals were full! Medical care for other illness, and surgeries were postponed indefinitely! Remember the premiers complaining on tv during the pandemic, that what Trudeau had promised to give to help their healthcare system wasn't enough? Remember that? These all happened under Trudeau's watch! They knew the problem even before the pandemic! He's had 6 years! It's only O'Toole who's saying it as it is! Folks - give this guy a chance. Listen to what he's saying.
-
This may be different. We're talking PROGRESSIVE conservative! Some of O'Toole's policies may not look so bad to some NDPers that they may hold up their noses and go to him just so to get rid of Trudeau. A lot of sentiments across the aisle - after all the endless bad decisions and scandals - just want to get rid of Trudeau.
-
Mendecino is lying. He's pulling a "Biden" on us. On an interview right now with an official from the Canadian Armed Forces: RED TAPE IS STILL GOING ON....and frustrating our own troops on the ground! That contradicts what Mendecino had said.
-
Why on earth is Trudeau talking publicly about sanctioning taliban at this moment when we are trying to get as many evacuees as possible? What's he doing trying to provoke and fuel insane retaliation from an unpredictable group in such a volatile situation? Doesn't he know that everyone in that airport is a sitting duck? Can't talks about sanctions wait until later, after the withdrawal? Stop politicizing this for your election campaign, Justin. Lives are at stake! We've got our own troops on the ground too!
-
Remember the dead Syrian refugee child who washed up on the beach - their boat capsized in an attempt to flee? Didn't he use that image to show how we welcome everyone who are fleeing terror? This is similar situation - a desperate bid for survival - but more than just that. We're talking about thousands of Afghan allies - people who had put their lives (and, that of their families) on the line, helping Canadian troops in Afghanistan. Canadian vets are really emotional on this! These are people who served or fought alongside our troops! It's so unthinkable how on one hand we gave millions of dollars to a terrorist fighting against our troops - and yet, we abandon those fighting alongside our soldiers. I can't wrap my mind around that!
-
Oh, yeah. THEY KNOW something bad must really be brewing for them.........that got Freeland resorting to this sleazy stupidity! "Social media platform slaps 'manipulated media' warning to Liberal candidate's tweet " https://torontosun.com/news/election-2021/freeland-misled-public-on-otooles-health-care-policy-twitter-says There goes my possitive view of Freeland.

I think that could be the reason why Trudeau called this election. He needs a majority for the kind of spending he's planning. Maybe - even the NDP will quake when they see the amount he intends to spend. And also, no one can stop him handing out contracts to cronies and friends. Horrific thoughts - it's something for the younger generation to deal with if it ever comes to that. They're the ones who'll live with it, and pay for it.
-
Hahahaha.....they just got millions from Trudeau. Will they bite the hand that feeds them?
-
From CTV Question Period yesterday: Nanos latest polls shows the race tightening. Liberals lead only 2 points, and according to Nanos, it's O'Toole who has the momentum! O'toole picked up from undecided voters. Don't bother with the CBC Liberal mouthpiece fake poll tracker. They're batting for Trudeau - since he just threw them some more millions.
