“How do we know you’re telling the truth?”
The speech of sex workers is under unprecedented scrutiny in American politics right now. Clifford replied, “‘Cause I have no reason to lie. I’m opening myself up for, you know, possible danger and definitely a whole lot of shit.”
Exactly! Why open yourself to possible danger (not only from Trump - if he is a dangerous opponent, or from his followers)? What's in it for you? There's gotta be something.
No reason to lie? Oh yes, you do.
The cynic in me says......
There is one very big reason to lie: 15 minutes of fame for a porn-star only porn enthusiast would've heard about! You and your lawyer are making the media rounds.....
....could there be a book coming out in the near future?

QuoteA few weeks later, she says, a man approached her in Las Vegas."I was in a parking lot, going to a fitness class with my infant daughter," Daniels said. "And a guy walked up on me and said to me, 'Leave Trump alone. Forget the story.' And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, 'That's a beautiful little girl. It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom,' and then he was gone," she said.

How do we know this really happened?
QuoteDaniels said she was shaken by the experience but never told police out of fear.
I don't know about this "fear" factor. You don't look fearful to me now. In fact, your lawyer sounds more like taunting. Just because you went public, does not eliminate any danger. It isn't only Trump you've got to consider here, especially in these turbulent times in politics - there are also the lunatics.
If fear is your reason - I think you, and your lawyer - have chosen a lousy timing to come out swinging.

QuoteDaniels told Cooper her former manager and former attorney pressured her to sign it."If it was untruthful, why did you sign it?" Cooper asked."Because they made it sound like I had no choice," Daniels said. "As a matter of fact, the exact sentence used was, 'They can make your life hell in many different ways.'"When asked who "they" were, Daniels said she believed it was Cohen.
---------------
Cohen has denied he made any threats to Daniels, and following the airing of the "60 Minutes" interview, an attorney for Cohen said in a letter that Daniels had defamed his client.
-------------------------
When asked about Daniels' charge that she was pressured into signing a false statement, her former attorney, Keith Davidson, responded in a statement to CNN: "I do not believe that the assertions in Ms. Daniels' 60 Minutes interview represent a fair and accurate description of the situation."He added that he cannot discuss the matter because of attorney-client privilege."The current legal requirements prohibit me from doing so until such a time that Ms. Daniels, in writing, waives attorney client privilege and authorizes me to speak publicly on the matter," Davidson said.Marc Harris, the lawyer for Daniels' former manager, Gina Rodriguez, told CNN, "Ms. Clifford did not say during the interview that Ms. Rodriguez pressured her in any way to sign the January 2018 statement."Though she technically is not shown saying it during the interview, Anderson Cooper's voiceover made clear that is what Daniels said.https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/26/politics/5-revelations-in-stormy-daniels-interview/index.html
Daniels should be pressured to waive the attorney-client privilege - we have to hear from everyone that's being implicated in this circus.
-
Daniels might be following the lead of what seems like an opportunistic, sleaze bag lawyer - her current lawyer - who could be using her to make a name for himself, to say the least.
Below is a very interesting article.
